    It’s not official circuit, but nobody should forget that Wolfe predicted his opponent would use trick room to take down his trick room so he used trick room taking down his own trick room, and making it so his opponent would take set up a fresh trick room for him
    For everyone interested, it’s in his video for the random tournament at around the 54 minute mark. I recommend watching the full video for context though.

    This is why I wish Pokemon was bigger as an eSports, it's not taken seriously by a lot of people but the highest level players are so skilled and fun to watch because they can find a way out of seemingly impossible situations

      Too much of those "noteworth" plays occur only in the player's head. There isn't something in-game to tell it's a good move except when they win.
      Doesn't help out how centralized the META can be, the sheer amount of time involved nor the fact that an enourmous part of your community simply doesn't care about competitive.

    • @Watburnt
      @Watburnt 10 місяців тому +24

      Heavy RNG and a wider community that's very hostile towards the competitive side hurt it plus it's not on pc and it takes a while time to make a team

      I don’t get why #1 is ahead of Baek’s, is it just that the stakes were higher? Tricking a choice item onto an Indeedee isn’t out of the box thinking.

    • @maestroeragon
      @maestroeragon 11 місяців тому +30

      @@martyrking2288 i guess it's the combo of choice item + trapping that makes it particularly evil, since normally you force a switch but this just forces them to disable their own TR lol

    • @loupe500
      @loupe500 10 місяців тому +7

      @@martyrking2288 number 1 was probably super planned. He lead with Goldenghoul and brought Gothitelle in the back basically check mating his opponent from the pokemon selection. Honestly, that Gothitelle might be there with mainly that purpose in the team (counter trick room and maybe perish song), making it a plan he had from team building. That's pretty impressive imo. Normaly tricking Indeedee only forces a switch, having a team that can auto win a match up without losing that bad to the other ones is insane. Baek's is probably more out of the box like you said, but it didn't win the game by itself and neither was that well planned, it was mostly improvisation.

    I feel like #10 should've been way higher on the list, but I think in terms of the videos story it sets up/foreshadows the tricking a choice item right at the start with #10 and then comes back at the end with #1 too so thats awesome, the storyboarding/layout of the video is so good!! the plays dont have to be in any kind of order for the next one, you can just share them however they best fit together for the video :3
