*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

You're right, my clean in this video is brutal. I've definitely improved over the year and my newer videos will be a testament to that. I've posted a note in the video so people are aware that the technique is flawed and that this particular video is meant to show the possibilities of the tool, not so much the technique. And I agree, the KB is not ideal for isolation movements, but again it's an option for those who have no other tools. Thanks for your comment! I appreciate it!

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I used a couple of the variations you have shown. I also used the vid as a reference to find other videos that had the "perfect" technique. If it was not for your vid, I would not been able to get my workout tuned in. Again Thanks

Seriously Joey, the reason we stress form is so you don't get injured. We do much more than what you mentioned but we recommend building a foundation on strength. You can't build a lot of strength on bad form, you'll end up not being able to do anything if you're injured. Kettlebell training IS powerful! I think bloomtofit has more balls than most to put these vids out. More power to him!

great video man, good on you talking about form, Most importantly people make sure you look up the individual exercises and how to do them properly before you attempt them. No use getting injuried and putting off your workout for a week or more. I can't say anything about your form because for one I just purchased my first kettlebell today, but from what I saw you look like you're doing fine hehe. Keep it up and thank you for making this video, helped me out a bunch.

If you try, you can get most exercises that you do with kettle bells also done with dumbbells, however the grip won't be as comfortable and gravity center also is different. Generally kettle bells introduce more compound exercise that dumbbells, even for the fact you don't use any benches that only cause muscle isolation. I find kettle bells superior, but if you can use both interchangeably (one day kettle training, other day classic dumbbell).

i do the popular ones like snatches, swings, squats and press, and many more.. i also love doing figure 8 where you swing the kb around/between your legs. I rarely used barbells/dumbels nowadays, mostly on squats, bench press only. ;)
