- This was my first day in Malaysia since many many years. It wasn't my first time visiting Malaysia, I've been to Kuala Lumpur in 2019, but it felt like being here for the first time! This time to get to Malaysia I took a train and... it totally wasn't as I expected.

New video from Malaysia! ua-cam.com/video/lHGvOoDdfus/v-deo.html
I'm malaysian. Last year nov I visited Vietnam. I have subscribed to roaming line. My phone has roaming data for 54 destinations worldwide. I dont need to buy a sim card there.
I visited Malaysia last year with friends of mine and really liked it !
The mix of cultures is quite unique :)
Yes, it is incredible!
I even forgot that my beautiful profile picture was actually taken in Langkawi 😂
😅😅
I visited Rome last December, was amazed how you have preserved your history, my best was Pompei, for sure Italy was so advanced in early days
I am so glad, thank you so much!
I was born and grew up in Rome, and anywhere I traveled I can’t find anything like it
Very nice video, Michele. I'm happy to see you made it safely to Malaysia. I can't wait to see your adventures. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed watching 👍👍👍.
My pleasure Mike!
You've reached one of the least modern states in Malaysia at your 1st stop, so you got to manage your expectations. Hence the cheaper prices for its accommodations and transportation. These places have its charm and great food culture, so make the most of it while you're there. Take your time and enjoy the difference between the different states in Malaysia! 😊
Ponte Rocks
Thanks Alex!
He Rocks indeed..👍
You both rock and help bridging the world together :)
Love you Mr Ponte keep up the good work ☝️🫡
Thanks a lot Ezra!
Most toilets ARE free. Some are not. Depends on the location and if the buildings owners want to charge for it.
My mom complains if she has to pay too. Small thing. So no worries.
Also we don't expect Western tourist to come to Malaysia through the Thai-Malaysia land border. But it seems to be a thing these days. Hence the reason for lack of sim card shops, ATMs and other stuff you mentioned. Here its only the Thais and Malaysians who cross.
If you entered Malaysia via an airport then there are free toilets, sim card shops, ATMs, money exchanges and shopping mall.
Enjoy you trip.
I see Malaysia as a first world country and that’s why i surprised about no free toilets inside the station, especially after I paid to get the train.
Anyway, for the rest, I really like Malaysia
Quite disappointed with Padang Besar stations infras. No single ATM, money changer store & SIM card store. I don’t mind about charges on toilet. But ATM & money changer store is A MUST.
The legend Ponte lives!
The 2 states after the Thai border are not a happening places for both foreign & local tourists alike.
You need to go to Penang, Ipoh, KL, Malaka & Johore Baru to enjoy your holiday
My total pleasure, Michele.
Great work you're doing. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks again!
Nice to see you around please don't stop posting
Asante sana
no... we celebrate all festivals in malaysia... every ramadan, eid, christmas, new year, diwali etc... mall decorations also change.
I didn’t say that you don’t celebrate other festivals
@@MichelePonte i mean, not because of the number of chinese in malaysia as you said... but because we celebrate all the festivals. for example, even though there are only 9% christians in malaysia, we still decorate almost all malls with christmas decorations.
@@LanzFrancisim surprised..i thought christianity is the second largest religion in malaysia. its actually buddhism.

don't expect free toilets in certain places like train stations etc... different country, different way. totally not an issue. never heard anyone complain about elevators or escalators in a small town like that...
I expected a free toilet inside a train station cause I see Malaysia like a first world country, I don’t want people to pee on walls and plants.
I was once with my two young children who wanted to use the toilets at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, about 30 years ago, I didn’t have any French Francs, which were needed to use the cubicles, the lady toilet assistant said I had to pay, she made me very angry, my child was going to poop in his pants. I threw what foreign coins I had on the floor in a temper, thankfully a kind gentleman gave her one Franc to open the cubicle. I couldn’t believe she could be so cruel 😢 I didn’t have any French money at the time!
nice vlogs, u need to explore more malaysia and you will see modern and conventional is blended together, traditional and technology is everywhere.. so sometimes u will see huge diversity in malaysia from cities to country side..
I truly like it!
Welcome to Malaya/Malaysia from SABAH NORTH BORNEO...
Terima kasih
Sabah tu sebahagian Malaysia ye
Eating in Asia, anything goes😀 I love your determination to succeed stil producing videos 👍❤️
Thank you Althea!
There was an elevator at train station,i guess u didnt see it,and also there was a toilet inside train station
No free toilet
Your entry into Malaysia was quite interesting! However, only pay toilets? WTF? Obviously, somebody there has greedy fingers! You most certainly could not complain about the cost for your hotel room, but I hear you loud and clear on the taxes. I’m planning on Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the fall. Room taxes there have got to be some of the highest in the world. Your meal looked very tempting (hard to believe I would say this), yet probably priced higher than what you would find it elsewhere, outside of the mall. Thanks for sharing the video! Always a pleasure to see any new presentation you share! 👏💯🏆👍😁🇲🇾
Unfortunately, in many train stations worldwide, you must pay for the toilet, but what was weird here: I was already inside the station, I already passed the ticket check, so I was kind of expecting this basic service to be free of charge.
Anyway, glad that for once you approved a meal :)
Normally the charge is RM0.20 per entry. Max is RM0.50 or 50 cents.
The train service provider has its reasons.😅
Yes, but it was after they checked the ticket, so in a closed area not reachable by homeless... so they should provide as a free service. I truly see Malaysia as a developed country, that's why I was surprised.
@@MichelePonte I agree with you, in the LRT/MRT stations and KL Sentral and TBS express bus terminal, toilet is FREE.
I know several train stations operated by KTM which charge for toilet use.
Malaysia 20 cents is more or less USD0.04
I don't think that's a very big issue?
It's not about the money - even if in this case it was cause there was no ATM where to withdraw
It's mostly about the Malaysia being a very developed country, and this is a basic human need, which means it should be free.
Sometimes cold drinks or juices are too sweet because there are ice cubes in them, next time if you want to order try to say Kurang Manis( less sugar) is malay word, maybe they can make it👌
Thanks for the tips!

Asante sana!
There are toilet at every train station...that is not ATM machine, that is machine for HP paymen...
they totilet i've seen were not free
Are you sure no free at KTM station...
Hi. U still in malaysia? Should you visit Melaka let me know. I will take you around.😊
Thanks for the suggestion!
If you like islands go to duty free Langkawi
Thanks for the suggestion!
well same i would like free but we need hire a cleaner for keeping it clean, as you know the tickets train on ly free toilets in train only not outside train. But it's going good idea for the future plans, if included toilet at train area the price of tickets must be more pricey than its now. Motel or hotel in rural areas usually didn't have elevator/lifts, so you need to ask before buy a tickets, if you didn't like using the stairs
There is already the cleaner for the train station, they don’t need to hire more. It’s a basic service.
Regarding the stairs, the main problem is not for me: I’m young and strong, but if an elderly person wants to carry a luggage, they’d in trouble.
I see Malaysia as a very developed country, that’s why I was surprised.
@@MichelePonte usually we as Malaysian child, Our first priority ofcourse it's our parents, when we wanted to do a Family holidays, definitely we bring all our big family members including our parents, grandparents, to travelling with us, before we book or do some reservations, usually my family will asked to meet and have discussion about family events, and do some itinerary for our family holidays planned. We will do some research for a homestay, hotel or motel, if that place has a lift and handicap services, suitable for kids and family , if the place provides things that we wanted like food service, or laundry service, near to hospital, and other attractions, we will make reservations and book it. If the place didn't have what we wanted, then we didn't book it, simple. There are some elderly, love to use the stairs, they don't mind about it and book for themselves, normally they will ask before booking the room if they wanted to know if the hotel/motel has a lift or not, and my parents did book a motel with stairs even their age are at 70, i did worried but my father said he and my mom like it wants to feel energize by using a staircase. Malaysia public toilets, did have free toilets but not all the places, some toilets were still paid because it's owned by the private company not by the government. So my sides did not complain because i am aware of it, some of us did complain, because they weren't aware about it. To make a change, of course it took time, and we are still in the developing phase, InshaAllah Malaysia will be more developed. Even all countries of the world, also have bad and good condition and services, even they're known as "Top of the worlds class countries"😉 because i did travel almost all of the country so i still being grateful to live as Malaysia citizens🇲🇾❤️. Right now, Malaysia is still developing, and yes not all the places in Malaysia are developing fast. As all our South Asian countries are still in developing❤️
No sound ??😅
What? Load youtube again
@@MichelePontegot it now😅
Is there a big issue for you to pay RM 0.50 to enter a clean toilet?
I said multiple times in the video that there is No ATM
Much cheaper than Zimbabwe.
Africa is expensive!

You're very funny guy!!!! You made joke
Thank you!
Use to have free toilet but not well clean.... Pay for caretaker... Cleaner toilet😂
Malaysia is not a third world country: I paid for the train service, a toilet should be included or people can start peeing on walls and plants.
The train company already pays workers to keep the train station clean, they just need to do the toilets too.
Free Toilets, you would be use to that in Italy, a STUPID idea that should be stopped
One I paid the ticket and I am inside the train station, it should be a free service.
Toilet is expensive and dirty in malaysia, if we offer them free to public, the goverment will go bankrupt.
The station, after the ticket is checked, is a private environment. And the station already has cleaners
