would love to see the full line comparison and would also be interesting to see 5x vs 6s, etc. comparison as well. Similar to how you use the GD VF 5x in some other videos.
video idea - after seeing you hit the blades so well but also seeing your game improvement video with T350 and Paradym and how effortless it was to hit lasers, I’d love to see you play a full round outside with a Paradym set and see what you shoot
I've got a 6x TR black and a Tour AD Di 6x (Black finish). I've got the Tour AD in the bag. I really struggle with TR if I'm not quite on it. But it's hot when I load the shaft. As for the AD, literally point and shoot.
Would like to see the new ventus black vs the tensei 1k black. 6x vs 65tx in particular Sounds like they're the same idea profile and Player wise. Ventus black of course being quite pricey, and tensei black being no upcharge even at TX in Titleist drivers. Would be a nice update to the premium vs stock comparison, especially with new Titleist drivers on the horizon
I've got Ventus in my 3 Red TR 7s and 5 and 7 woods, all and I can say they are very consistent. Butt stiff in the handle but a little more tip flex to increase launch helps me with my fairway woods off the deck. Distance and dispersion is excellent.
I got the blue+ soon as it came out. Hit some of the longest drives ever, but felt like the softness was hard to control. Ordering a blue+ tx and also the black+ to see how that feels.
Do you recommend spine alignment for shafts if they are fitted in a adjustable driver? And if you do, do you align it to the fitted setting and hope they don't fiddle with it?
I swing my driver at just over 100 (100-103) mph and I play a shaft, that on paper shouldn't be in the mix for me but it's the smoothest shaft I've ever owned. It's definitely a fairway finder with 250 carry. I'm talking about the KBS TD Tour Driven Category 5 60gm. I tried the Ventus shafts but they can't beat my KBS.
I also game a KBS TD category 5 but 70g. That thing is a bomb. Found nothing that comes close to it. I also had Motore X F3, Motore X F1 and a Tensei Av Raw white 75g. Sold both Motores and the Tensei sits in the basement. Its sad that the KBS doesnt get that much attention
I saw several instances where the red CPM’d stiffer than the black in fittings, why would this be when they measure each segment of the shaft? Length & weight being equal.
I recall he was using TSR3 for long time. The TSR3 produced big ball speed numbers, but higher spin. That SIM is extremely low spin, resulting in exceptional simulator numbers, albeit numbers that may not accurately translate to course play. I wonder however if it’s a sim-only driver, no pun intended, wherein he plays TSR3 or a higher mid-2000’s spin driver on the course.
Admittedly I’ve never liked the feel of the Ventus, just a bit too board-like. I’m gaming the Speeder Platinum 5X in my TSR3, Speeder NX in my TSi3 3-wood. Just always loved the Fuji Speeder and MCA Diamana profiles. I was down visiting my son last week, he just swapped in the GDI Tiger shaft in his Paradigm 3D, sorry I don’t recall the model name but it’s mostly black w/red at butt end. His is 6TX tipped 1/2”, playing 44.75”. Yes, he is 6’5, 240 and regularly hits 190 ball speed. I took a few swings, despite my 65 yr old body only occasionally reaching 165 ball speed. It was a handful for me but at same time, it offered more feel than any Ventus I recall. I was really impressed. Didn’t get on sim but had great flight and I could easily work the ball. If I didn’t feel so confident and comfortable with feel and control of my Speeder Platinum, I’d definitely be getting fitted for the GDI Tiger shaft. It’s both a fairway finder but still allows enough control of flight(spin) to shape the shot as needed. I personally would never game a driver that was under 2400 spin unless it’s a course that is dead straight, no trees and non-punitive rough.
@@safranic When warmed up, yes consistently. I’ll stretch for 20 minutes before session then usually start in high 150’s. By 12-15 balls I’m up to 165. I’m big at 6’2” 230 with 48” chest. I also have been practicing yoga for over 30 years
I have the new Ventus Blue 6X and 7X in my driver and 3-wood (AI Smoke TD), and the AD IZ 8X in my Apex UW. The Ventus feels tighter and maybe a bit more stable. On the other hand, the IZ feels a bit softer and has a little more kick than the Ventus. In my experience, the Ventus leads to a little lower spin with a mid-launch, while the IZ results in more of a mid-launch and mid-low spin. I'd say that the IZ is most similar to the red Ventus in terms of launch characteristics. For a bit more launch and spin, I'd lean toward the IZ or a Ventus Red, possibly tipped. I am not sure if this is helpful.
More of a fitter's video than a consumer's in my opinion. All I'd want to know / feel / see is the result, irrespective of what shaft is between the grip and clubhead. That's the modus operandi of the fitter after all - know the shaft, what it does, how it does it, and what player might benefit from it the most. The golfer just wants the result without the frosting and trail of petals, and nobody can tango to a waltz.
Not all shots we hit intended to be included in the test. I’ll often hit some shots to help myself with a feel I’m trying to achieve in my swing. I’ll sometime even grab a different club to hit in between driver so I don’t get a specific swing pattern engrained.
I have the ventus shafts in my irons that I was fitted into .. I bought a ventus blue driver shaft and I can’t hit that damn thing for nothing… it sits in the corner at home
Bring back to OG stat charts, fellas. So much easier to read and follow.
Can you have Mikey test the ventus shafts to see how his swing speed affects the performance of the shafts.
Ventus is the way! Playing the Velocore+ Black in my driver and the Velocore+ Red in my woods and it's the perfect blend
Did you try the blue in a driver and if so why did you go with the black?
@@bboness713 Blue was far too soft in the handle for me, caused a very high spinny flight

I replaced my Diamana DF with a new 2024 Ventus Blue 6X and couldn't be happier. Loved the DF but the Ventus dispersion is eye opening
What's your driver swing speed if you eontkne me asking? Faster transition or smoother? Thanks!
Really feel like for testing and comparing data it should be on the flat driving range

Interested to hear what your thoughts are on the x vs tx mate
Would trade a black 6tx for blue 6x
Just solid gold content episode after episode.
Not trying to start anything, but seriously driver swing looks good like really good
SIM is back babay!!🎉
Would consider the new ventus shaft to be better than the old shafts or would the new shafts be additional options in the ventus lineup
Funny to see the previous-shot tracers for the bad ones that normally get edited out
When I first found the channel, I didn't notice the shot counter and couldn't fathom that Ian wasn't a pga tour level golfer.

Do a 2018 vs 2024 comparison
Can you do a comparison between the old to the new ventus shafts.
I have the ventus black 6x non velocore and it's still very good 👍
They make a non velocore vb 6x? Where did you get it?
@@robz1699 ebay 100 bucks with grip and adapter

Can you show us how tip stiffness and shaft kick point affects the ball flight? Appreciate both of you gentlemen.
Need some comps of new vs old Ventus. I’ve got a blue 7x and am considering upgrading to blue/ black 6x velocore +.
As a user of the original Ventus Red in my Driver, 3w, and 7w I’m very interested in how the new red compares.
Never mind the new Ventus shafts best looking things in this video is those Wilson's in I'm guessing Mikey's bag 😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
How r they compared to the normal TR model? What makes the velocore more expensive! What is the upgrade?
Please do a full family review and possibly also compare to the previous models
Do you recommend spine alignment for shafts if they are fitted in a adjustable driver?
And if you do, do you align it to the fitted setting and hope they don't fiddle with it?
For some brands, like Callaway, you can adjust the adapter settings and still keep shaft and grip alignement!
That is one of the things why I prefer Callaway myself
can we see a comparison of the 3 new Velocore+ vs the 3 new Accra GX?
Whats the best light weight stiff shaft?
Why the sim over the LS? When did you change back and why?
Should compare new black vs tr black in 6s though.
Tipping the Red a bit more may bring it to an old Ventus Purple. Maybe?
I know its the indian and not the arrow but for someone that loses it left, would black be something to consider
