Heads up for anyone looking to buy an air fryer - get a square shaped one! You get more surface area for the same space the circular ones take up on the counter. Also mine cooks potatoes WAY faster than Derek’s. Like half the time. So look at different models and their power. I have the instant vortex and it’s awesome.

I'm an air fryer fan all the way. I've put literally every vegetable I eat in the air fryer and they roast in 10 minutes instead of the 30-45 in the oven. Brussels, asparagus, cauliflower, squash, zuchinni, broccoli, green beans, chickpeas, beans, anything. I'll put tofu, broccoli, and potatoes all in together at varying intervals and you get a whole meal in

Yes they do. I don't think it fits onto the larger 8 quart though. Maybe I am wrong though. Also I was wondering how it compares to an air fryer, because the air fryer has special channels that allow the air to go in through the sides and up from underneath.

I love when Crystal is in the videos! I have both the air fryer and the pressure cooker. The air fryer gets used more frequently because you don't have to wait for it to do its job like the pressure cooker. It's also good for warming up leftovers, and depending on what you cook in it, you don't have to clean it after every use, especially if you're not using oil. I do kind of wish I had went with one of those hybrid machines.

We have a rice cooker…it's kind of like your insta-pot, but without the steam.
Just throw in the ingredients for a lentil stew or curry and it's ready in around an hour. It also keeps it warm, so you can make it on the morning and then eat it at lunch.
It's so easy that we usually have at least one meal a day like this.

Everything I've cooked in this unit has come out great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB ! Everything tastes so good. Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using...so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!

I like my InstantPot/AirFryer Combo! Yes, a great thing! I have two more regular InstantPots also! I use the stovetop for tortillas and oatmeal...and hardly ever use the oven now.

for the air fry potatoes, you gotta try a Lebanese spice/herb mix called Za'atar! I think the distinctive components are thyme and sumac, a lemony spice (or herb; not really sure what it is). I rarely use anything else when I roast/air fry veggies.

Apparently you can get the Instant Pot with an air fryer lid now. Could be worth looking into. I have both but kind of wish I had gone with a hybrid instead.

Great vid guys thanks a lot!! What’s difficult is that the instant pot saves time but you can do most of the functions if you have a stove top/normal kitchen, where as the air fryer is more of a gadget in the sense that it does something that nothing else does.. so tough to choose, both are on my list but deffo the instant pot first! I borrowed a pressure cooker for the weekend and it changes everything to cook beans so fast

This is what I'm thinking. Seems I can cook the same meals in my crockpot that I can in an Instant Pot, albeit slower. Looks like I'm getting an Air Fryer.

I agree that the InstantPot is excellent. I never knew you could soak the raw potatoes in cold water and get that change in the resistant starches for a better crisp. Chef AJ always swears by cooking them whole in her InstantPot, then sticking them in the fridge overnight. I’ll have to try your method. I really like when Crystal is in your videos, too. Keep up the great videos, guys! And, thanks for the delicious recipe!✨👏🤩🌸

I have found to get the crispiest oil free air fryer potatoes I steam them in the Instant Pot first then put in the fridge for at least a few hours. Then I slice them into wedges and season and they cook in the Instant Pot in about 15 to 20 minutes total and get super crispy! Plus then I can prepare a bunch at the start of the week and eat them throughout in only 20 minutes. ☺️ Also I agree with you, the Instant Pot wins for me. I use it for rice, potatoes, soups, beans, everything!! But the air fryer is so fun. I have the same one as you and love it!

    Because it's a Simnett video, that's why.
