    • @rdarville70
      @rdarville70 4 роки тому +57

      Gearbox is special dual clutch made by Ricardo (one of the best in the business). The gearbox also contains the additional electric motor which needs to be properly calibrated to work with the gearbox and the engine's 11,000 rpm. All this together means they likely severely limited the shift durations so the whole system didn't eat itself to pieces.

    • @travislouisseize7755
      @travislouisseize7755 4 роки тому +18

      It does seem like they are really struggling to dial in that transmission... Gear changes are too slow for a car of this type, also the noticeable jolt with every shift could upset the balance of the car and dunno how that would effect reliability

      The average sports car owner will own multiple cars from every single brand. It is hard to drive your cars very often when you own 20 of them and take a helicopter to work. There is no upper middle class that can afford to just buy one of these cars anymore it’s only people with hundreds of millions to spend that buy more than they can drive. These cars not being driven is the result of a shrinking middle class that could buy one of these cars and actually have time to drive it. You can’t blame someone who owns fifty super cars and gets around by helicopter and jet for not having time to drive every single car very often. Gone are the days of the successful college grad lawyer/doctor that worked extremely hard and is able to afford a Ferrari that they drive on weekends. Much like how kings owned more chateaus than they could spend time in wealth has gotten so out of control that these guys can’t even enjoy the vast amount of things they own.

    Those kinda slow and brutal shifts seems to really upset the car's balance in the corners... you could see the drivers tought the same by the look on theyre face when it happens...
    The revs were limited to 8K , but the engine revs to 11K, wich wil be the cause of the shifting issue, not shifting at max throttle or RPM, and thats allright on the track, but this is meant to be a roadcar also, and be bought by miserable drivers, so i hope they sort out the shifting at low speeds/revs...
