This reminded me of the video Chris Harris did on the McLaren P1 back in the day where he drove it at Yas Marina and talked to Chris Goodwin. That video to this day is still the best video he has ever done, so this coming close makes it even more special. So cool to see Henry thriving!!
And just like back then we were not told the truth. P1 had Dallara carbon tub, Akebono brakes, Nissan engine, Ricardo or Dyna gearbox (don't remember). Only thing that was mclaren was 50% of suspension. Awesome car but these days its way more of a world wide effort than a company project.

Yep, and the fact a car with such a low production run has to meet emissions is ridiculous. They probably burned more fuel trying to develop a motor and emission equipment to meet the standards than these will collectively burn in their lifetimes! If the production run of a car is less than 5000 units a year they should just be able to run free. Like you wouldn't put a methane catcher on a horse! I just saw the video from Top Gear over the same car and this feels so astonishingly superior 😂😂 you can hear the passion in every word and that's what we all love about the content from Hagerty. Keep up the good work 👌🏻 another video, another like
Top Gear felt very rushed. And Chris Harris seemed not that enthusiastic overall. Henry seems much more in awe of this car as an engineering achievement overall. It just feels like more time and care was put into this video vs the Top Gear one. Maybe TG had very short time to film it probably.
Aston has truly been an awesome comeback story from being part of ford, and then ford subsequently using their grill design in fusions, focus’s, and fiestas, to them finally getting seed money to get back on their own and really building some awesome designs
Amazing car, and good looking too, and wonderful video. Sadly the question "Will I be capable of driving it?" that Henry had at the beginning is largely irrelevant, as the road going versions of these will never see any miles. I did find it amusing that if you get injured in a head-on crash then the first aid kit that might be helpful is in the part of the car that's now crushed!
That is a thing of beauty. The aerial shot shows off beautifully its teardrop design, the details, exquisite. I can feel entirely the reference to the XJR15. Totally impractical for the road, however, but that never stopped great car-makers doing great things like this before. As far as landmark cars go; the Rimac Nevera after Veyron: You do not consider this to be a landmark car? this wasn't a leap?...
The bit at 2:50 where you can see the spinal fin on the car kind of shimmying is just mesmerizing. Question for the team here and I have actually seen it in a couple other reviews but is there a reason the rear view mirror camera seems to cut out over a certain speed? I saw it flickering off and on on the AMR Pro version but I figured those were just preprod niggles. Thank you amazing as always!
Hi Mateo, I think it is a frame rate thing with our video cameras and the screen on the mirror syncing - I don't recall it flickering on and off like that (although I wasn't looking in the mirror much!). You can get the same sort of thing if you try to film a television.
That first clip you can tell the neck muscle exercise that F! drivers do pays off. Unreal. For the longest time the Konigsegg 1:one has been my ultimate but I think now the car universe has a new king. Well done Aston Martin. Bravo.

What a video! Nice to be taken on the ride of you slowly upping your pace with this car. Very immersive. Thanks for producing this kind of content.
Aston has truly been an awesome comeback story from being part of ford, and then ford subsequently using their grill design in fusions, focus’s, and fiestas, to them finally getting seed money to get back on their own and really building some awesome designs
Stunning car, video and experience as always Henry. This car sets a new benchmark as do you with the quality of your work. Emotional watching this.
It genuinely sounded like a gun went off everytime Nico upshifted. What a sound.
They won't be able to rebuild the crashed ones fast enough.
Damn Hagerty! Henry and Jason just make this channel THE BEST. Could watch these two all day long!!!!!!
1270 Kg??? That's quite a lot more than they aimed for
Maybe it's the weight of all the active aero to keep the downforce low to not explode the road tires?
I think amr pro is less than 1000 kg
Henry, you knocked it out of the park again. Great video. I'm not going to bother watching any of the other videos on this. Thank you.
So jealous of Henry! Congrats on getting to drive a car that very few people will ever get to see!
Catchpole being concise, informative and clear whilst driving the Valkyrie.... Bravo sir!
Petroleum cars is what matters
the new holy trinity :
Valkyrie
T50
Amg One
Amazing review Henry.... absolute pleasure to watch. 🙌🤙
And it's my son who ushers Henry out onto the track for his first run......
That V12 Cosworth though, bonkers
What a fantastic video, the niko drive is just bonkers.. and then when Henry gets them sticky tyres... holy smokes...
excellent!! Well done!!
It's absolutely amazing to see the sheer amount of trial and error went into creating Valkyire. It really is an F1 car for the road.
That first clip you can tell the neck muscle exercise that F! drivers do pays off. Unreal. For the longest time the Konigsegg 1:one has been my ultimate but I think now the car universe has a new king. Well done Aston Martin. Bravo.
if this weighs 1270kg, it is even more insane that Gordon Murray manages sub 1000kg for the T50, that basically has the same engine.
The Valkyrie AMR PRO is about 1000kg, has the same engine, and is much faster than the regular valkyrie or the t.50 i believe.
@@KGil60 I'm praying we get a comparison between the Lauda T50S and the AMR Pro in the future.
@@KGil60 Arguably true, but Gordon Murray doesn’t design by committee. All the cars are great!
Trouble with the T50 is it looks like an F1 you get from Wish.
Not same, T50 has smaller, less powerful V12.
Great job Henry…impeccable story telling as always!
21:16 I feel like the car fried Henry’s brain a bit there
Another great video. Henry really is one of the best in the business.
Is that rear view mirror (screen) glitching?
Stunning video Henry. You conveyed the visceral experience masterfully. Thank you.
'Put the price of Ti up globally'
Damn that was a great film but I flat don't believe that bit 😂
