This is an awesome slot canyon really narrow. The shots from above were awesome. That must have been fun thanks for sharing.

Super fun, strongly recommended if you like slots, low stress too compared to my other adventures that trip, Temple Mountain was a serious nail biter for me!

Karl - I am very pleased when I find one of your videos. I use your videos for planning my trips and for assessing my experience after a trip. You produce fine tours - time after time. I am off to Moab with friends in Nov 2024 and plan to visit Moonshine as part of a solo pre-trip tour of non-technical canyons. One suggestion - Provide a map with your track using GPX and CalTopo. That is how I document my canyon trips. Thank you.

With all the use of my phone for getting shots I do not have enough battery as it is and recharging is a PITA while moving and I have to do that already. It would be of great help to me too if I could always have a bread crumb trail. I do drop way points when/if I get to tricky spots. . . Use Road Trip Ryan, his info is GREAT! Thanks for joining me, this was one of my first canyons and is very special to me, You'll love it!

@@KarlDeckerPresents Thanks, for your reply, Karl. Moonshine was tricky on November 2, 2024. The first serious drop featured a muddy pool. My new acquaintances (from Yukon) had a report from another couple that promised peanut butter class mud to come. We three bailed out and floated above it all. I hiked to the sheep bridge and vowed to return on another (drier) day. * Road Trip Ryan is my first stop for beta.

Great video! The drone shots are awesome. Lots of good variety of shots too. And the biking up the wash idea is so smart! Thanks for capturing this slot so well.

Hey buddy! Thank you for the compliments! It was an AWESOME slot, better than the video. . . but a bit short, still way worth it! I had a chance to check out your channel and I like your work as well! I did a few of my first videos with my daughter in Little Wild Horse and Ding Dang! She was 16 at the time. . . My Avatar is me at the end of Ding Dang carrying her shoes. . . I carried HER through the first pools barefooted in my underwear! LOL I'd like to get to know you better, I LOVE San Rafael swell and I plan to do a few class 4 climbs in little Cottonwood Canyon as well. Maybe we could do a trip together. It is hard to find decent drone pilots! and your regular camera angles were cool and unique as well. Maybe you have a goal for Colorado? Do you have any rock climbing experience? My specialty is "easy" technical climbing routes up all our 14ers here that have them. I'm leaving for Capitol Peak today. . . North ridge direct, Would like to hear your plans. You have talent.

Really amazing stuff Karl!! A great narration along with your usual superb videography...the tall bridge perspective was so cool! Thanks again 👍

Thanks buddy, I can’t recommend this canyon enough, fun yet generally low stress climbing and incredible vistas! For me the 20 mile dirt road drive from Green River was the most stressful part, just not being absolutely sure I was in the right place but, I was!

The Ninja has expressed interest in the Little Bear traverse this summer and I hope he joins me on Capital Peak as well as Longs or some other Rocky mountain national park adventure! He's a cool guy and strong athlete. Not who I had expected him to be, family man/dentist. . . .

This is a great area. There is a spot further down Moonshine Wash that has amazing acoustics. The sound really throws you for a loop. Fun spot to play around. Never experienced anything like it elsewhere.

Fantastic as usual Karl. Question.. When we see you in a scene from behind with your still camera I guess you got to scramble back down each time to go back and get it, then push forward once again? Beautiful canyons. Great active track with the drone. I can’t recall if you fly the Mavic Pro or MA2?

    • @KarlDeckerPresents

Thank you Brother! MA2, my next video will have some tracking while walking and easy climbing on a desert summit
