as someone who never played Tekken before and got curious with Tekken 8's release, this was super helpful.

Right now I'm only assailant it's my first tekken game starting 3 days ago, and I can't lie even when I get shit on sometimes going up rank its most the most fun I've had in a fighting game in a long time. Learning new attacks to put into combos, or how to punish better, everything in the game so far is just insanely fun and really cool to learn as I play
Just got it on sale after buying a fight stick. Really excited to get into it, been wanting to since 7 when I was younger and T8 is my first traditional fighting game!

super informative. i’ve been casually playing tekken for 12 or so years, starting with tekken tag 2 and then going back and playing 3-7. when 8 came out i decided i wanted get better and not just button mash, but like someone else said, learning this game is like climbing a mountain. im glad i stumbled onto your channel! i never knew inputting 3+4 on the ground initiated the jump kick! subscribing now!!!

Tekken tag and Tekken 3 were my jam. Long time beginner button masher 😂 but this the first Tekken in a long time or any fighting game really that i went out and bought day 1 and really said I'm gonnna try to actually learn how to play. Loving it but been doing a lot of PvP with my kids we are having a blast. Brings back memories of times when games were fun.

You should refer to it as while standing instead of while rising. I know the move list doesn't do this, but it's much easier to notate as WS so that you don't get a confused by calling it. WR because this could mean while running.

Tekken 7 was my first fighting game. While watching the video, I realized the game has large amount of mechanics, especially when compared to SF (which my tekken brain thinks is a difficult game).

SF6 combos almost feel more difficult to execute, or at least the timing of the links feels way more unforgiving due to a lack of launchers.

I’ve loved Tekken for decades…. And now I know why my feverish button mashing works. 😂 I was simply going from a ground mid air running balanced forward attack into my mid cancel dash rage heat mode furry attack. 😂😂😂. Seriously though…. I never knew these games were this involved. It’s probably why I enjoy playing them, even though I’m admittedly horrible at them.
