Question after doing replacing the fuel pump, what if it leaks in the from the top after filling up? Do I need to go back and slightly tighten the bolts on the pump? Its not leaking from the grommet its leaking from the middle of the tank.
Do it cost a lot to replace.
This video was on basic content but REALLY GOOD. Simple, straight to the point, broken down and clear (visually and content wise). Very clean, great quality, and at least 90% of anyone who watch will be able to understand what he/she is watching. Good stuff here.

My car has several things wrong with it that can kill me but unfortunately I have to wait 10 days so the ministry can call me to book an appointment for an officer to look at it. The dealer sold me a totalled car.
Covered up a rotten subframe with rubberized coating so he didn't have to replace it. Play in the left tie rod which is part of the safety. The day I drove the car off the lot I wasn't sure if I was going to make it home alive because the steering wheel was being yanked in different directions, confirmed by my mechanic that not only was the steering wheel off center but the ball joints and control arms would need to be fixed before an alignment could even be performedor it would be sent back. The timing chain needs to be fixed, if it breaks while I'm driving it the engine is totalled. When I make right hand turns my dome lights come on so I'm not sure if there's problems with the wiring. I noticed a leak under the vehicle and when I go up to my car I can smell gasoline while it's parked so there's a fuel leak somewhere. And God only knows what else is wrong with it. Those are only the things I know about that have been confirmed by mechanics.
Been watching several 1A videos for a little while now. They are clearly one of the most informative video providers out there.

Yes very important to find and fix the fuel leak immediately. I had a 68 Buick Riviera that had a small fuel leak at the carburetor. It erupted. I turned the car off. However, the fire melted the writing harness causing the starter to crank the engine and spray more fuel on the fire. Bottom line the car was a total loss.

My 2017 grand jeep cherokee limited had gas fumes inside all the time after starting it up. After 2 months the jeep dealership found it was the fuel rail ends leaking. They replaced it and my gas tank with a new gas line because the gas nozzle kept clicking off while trying to put in gas. So far so good.

Good video! I have an 04 Audi Allroad that is leaking/ gushing someplace underneath the tank.
This video gives an idea where to start. Someone else installed the fuel pump so i hope the issue isn't there.

I have been subscribed for awhile and I’m grateful for the shared knowledge and thankful you don’t shekter the knowledge.
With that being said I have been taking care of my Lexus 1996 Es300 but I know it’s a old car but I love it but now there is gas in my oil and when I changed my oil recently it was very thin.
Can you lead me in the right direction to what I should do first to stop fuel entering my oil?

Thank you for this video. Would the check engine light go on for what you have described? I smell gas and there isn't a light going on in my dash.
When you remove the lower o ring, you have to pull it over that disc looking thing, what if that's cracked or a piece of it is missing? Would that affect anything or is it just there to hold the o ring in place so it doesn't fall off when you hold the injector downward?

Great video. We had everything checked by a mechanic can’t seem to find anything in the fuel leakage anywhere. The only thing mention was possibly checking both fuel tanks from the inside. Trying to figure out how to go through the backseat to get to them 2009 Hyundai genesis. Any tips ?

Hi you mentioned that the problem could be in the evaporative emission system only for 1 second.And that is where most leakage/smell come from.

I've seen my fuel lines dripping multiple times... yet its not constant? Sometimes its leaking fuel sometimes its not... i thought fuel leaks were constant..

During a evap repair does the mechanics have to mess around with the fuel filler neck
Ford taurus 2011-2019 top of fuel pump on tank under the rear seat. Metal retaining rings rusted built up rust put pressure on both fuel pumps/sending.. cracking the plastic .. causing leaks when tank full or agressive driving fuel sloshing around. New fuel pumps and new retaining rings. Spray new metal with paint or rust inhibitor

My wife's perodua myvi/daihatsu m100 has petrol smell. I was actually looking at the condenser for cleaning up, the workshop manual isn't thorough at some parts. There's also fuel smell every time she fill up petroleum. Another uncomfortable smell when she starts the car.
hey hows it going quick question i noticed a fuel smell coming from under the car so everytime i would start up the car i would smelll it even more so i kept the car running and got underneith and first thought to loook at the fuel tank so i seen wet spots and i put a light up closer and i seeen it pouring out from the top of the tank but im still trying to determine what it really is so i seeen it coming from underneith the fuel tank locking ring and it was wet on the plug that goes in to the fuel tank the black plug and thats alll but its kinda hard to say so i tttok it down and im looking deeeper so i neeed help with this one its a 20005 dodge grand caravan 3,3 thanks alot happpy hoildays to u and your family besafe always and have a great day

I need help with my car I looked at everything on it fuses fuel pump fuel lines everything for the last couple of weeks my car has been idling rough when I go to match the gas it would sometimes die last night all it would do was crank would not start I looked for the problem and my someone has had loose to the bolts on my distributor the distributor is only hanging by the wires there's no nothing else holding it there both I guess I only came out yesterday would that make my car stall out when matching the gas and would it not start after a while and can it be fixed can I put my distributor back on there and run Right

I have a Saturn Ion that developed a fuel leak. Could smell gasoline near the rear driver's side wheel only when the engine was off. No visible fuel, just odor. Was a metal fuel line between the exhaust pipe and wheel. Lines are wrapped in heat shield material and had accumulated years of road dirt that rotted the lines. Was impossible to see

I hear of a vehicle catching fire about twice a month around my area and figure this is what probably happened. Oops I smelled gas but kept on driving it. My 2007 Subaru Forester is currently parked until I can check it out. Plugs, wires, and air filter recently changed; but a couple days ago I noticed the gas gauge is dropping too fast. I have been watching ur videos on fuel systems all day My problem is I have a 2004 Chevy Blazer and I got it running to change the fuel pump twice change fuel filter the town strap sensor the crankshaft center spark plugs naughty audiat it ran until I went through a car wash I went through the car wash got the undercarriage washed and then my car when I was leak or truck what I was leaving blah blah blah and stopped and it started once more drove perfectly and then I smelled some gas and it once again it stopped blah blah and it didn't start hasn't started since now I can't get fuel to my fuel the fuel pump we tested outside of the vehicle it work inside the vehicle it didn't I was wondering should help me out with my problem or at least give me some pointers I'm a female of a lot kids love working on my car but it cannot figure this one out if you could help thank you
I have 4 evap codes on my 4.3 and the truck shut off on me 3 different times.
I've did a fuel pressure test, cranking was at 60 psi. Leak down test of 5 mins left it sitting at 40 psi.
So I moved on the air and spark. Wasn't getting a consistent spark, so I went ahead a replaced the distributor and rotor, ICM, wires and plugs. Fired up, drove a short distance and shut off again. So I guess my questions is. Would the 4 evap codes/fuel leakage be the reason for the vehicle to shut off going down the road and also the reason for randomly starting up while I was testing different possible issues?
What if i replaced the o rings several times but it keeps leaking badly after a day of use? Could it be my fuel pressure regulator?

My Toyota Corolla 2001 is leaking onto the ground in the middle just behind the engine compartment, like straight under the micdle of my dash. Would this be the lines? It wont start, sounds out of gas but isn't, can't smell it under the the hood.
My truck sat up for a year. Put in 5 gallons of gas cause the tank was myseriously bone dry. Truck started and over a 3 day period, i'd go out and let the truck warm up. I let it set there for over a week and noe the truck isn't starting and the guage is now below the E.
In driving the truck I can see how those o-rings could let gas escape - but the truck just sitting there? Do all the places you're saying to look apply to a truck that's not being driven?
