Nice tutorial , Question 🖐 : If you unwrap the uvs at default smoothing group 1 , texture it in substance and bring the textures and then press 3 to subdivide, doesnt the texture streches on the edges causing banding? 🤔
sir we need a tutorial on creating shaders and advanced material creation procedurally such as rust, grunge, oil leakage (using curvature map) snow, SSS (jellies & candies), metals (alloys) etc...in arnold for maya
I have exported the udim textures from substance to maya as per thge tutorial but the entire model texture is effected by the 1st UDIM; other two udims are not showing up on the model
Hey Abraham I'm Very Confused at Whats going on in the 3d world i'm learning maya modeling now & sometimess i get confused at blender 3d i mean online blender world & professional 3d job that is something confusing for me people are using free models from website & creating 3d artworks & we are 3d modelers modeling everything from scrach its fine thats our job but what is the future what to do what to learn Sometimes i get stuck at thinking i mean i can learn but what after that not getting clarity about what to do People are learning blender and creating osm 3d worlds after a month of learning blender & we are spending years at learning high quality production level 3d Please give me some ciliary now please help me

Hey my friend! so it is definitely a very complicated question. I have mentioned before that one of the most important factors is the industry close to you or the industry you are aspiring to join. Those variables would change my reply heavily but if you want to play it safe using industry standard tools should be a good idea. Yes there is always the chance that softwares will change but your ability to adapt should play a role if that happes. i always like to say that 3d is a language and the tools are just that tools. If i had to stop using maya and blender and learn Houdini for instance well, so be it, all of the knowledge i have will now have to be adapted to the new software but all the experience would not be gone. hope this helps!
how do you bake udim textures to one single texture? i have the old (udims) and new mesh (new 0-1 uv layout) and tried "transfer maps" and have set the UV Tiiling Mode to "UDIM (MARI)" but when I bake it only seems to bake from the very first UDIM in the sequence. it's weird because when i "generate preview" i see that the udims are showing up correctly, in the old mesh at least.
29:49 hi sir tried writing at the place but maya consle is showing - BaseColor..png doesn't exist, node file1, please help me this one. even checked the naming of udim and thier tilling no problem overther but due to this uv tilling is still showing no tilling found.
