Wow keep up the good work guys!! I'm an MECP Advanced installer for Geeksquad so I can appreciate all the work and thoroughness you guys put in to each job!! I wish we had the time for installs like you do though lol I have 1 hour and 45 mins to complete an amp install! And thats by myself! I try to implement as much as I can from your videos on my own installations but man I just don't have the time lol the Bestbuy retail environment is all about how fast I can get one car out and another one in smh it's a shame I know!!! But I still put maximum effort into all my installs! Keep up the good work guys! So nice to see a car audio channel that actually shows the day to day and speaks our 12v language! So jealous of all the higher end product you have access to! Bestbuy just has mediocore brands and product so as an installer it's really frustrating You guys should throw in a remote start or two!!......oh yeah why don't you guys use Directechs or Alldata for wire info?? It's extremely accurate and saves a lot of time! Lol I don't think I've seen Alldata get it wrong lol Directechs can be pretty sketch at times LMBO!!
+Stephen Parrish thank you. Yes it is a shame they rush you though the install. We do use Directechs for information when available. We do not get a lot of remote starter businesses. Never really gets cold here and trying to cool down your car is kind of a joke.
Five Star Car Stereo.... I was also wondering if you guys on your amplifiers open up the crossovers that way you can set crossover points from the head unit and set he desired crossover points there instead of having to do it at the amplifier. What are the pros and cons of doing crossover points this way? Also a big question I get is why get a aftermarket DSP such as a Rockford 363 or Audison Bit or JL DSP when a lot of the high-end head units such as the Pioneer NEX series and the Kenwood excelon have time alignment and many of the DSP features already built in. Is the quality that really that big of a difference in the stand-alone processors?
i was just interested in the process of replacing the head unit. i have a 3rd gen SR taco and wouldn't want to lose the hands free phone, backup cam, and factory features but want the better display and graphics and maybe nav and screen mirroring features of after market head units. great era we live in when we can scan through so many systems and ideas, though. good work.
I'm probably going to bring my 2018 Tundra to you guys to do a similar install. I wonder if I'll lose some of the adjustable car settings available in the OEM head unit when switching to aftermarket (i.e. headlight auto on based on amount of daylight, auto lock timer, etc.)?
Dean, instead of cutting up the 70-1761 for the Tundra amplifier, I have used the 70-7992 (Suzuki 95-03) harness, perfect fit, you still would re-pin the harness. Also, did the Toyota factory stereo power the front three dash speakers on your Tundra? Whereby you needed to wire your front tweeter replacements to the front midbass speakers or crossovers?
+RICHASASA thank you I have to grab some cable for the bay. We just unplugged the center speaker and used the the dash wire to power the tweeter. We always unplug the center speaker and they the time correction do it magic
Hey guys, really enjoy the show. I’m building a similar setup in a 2015 tundra. I see the two patch connectors y’all made have 6 leads. (Front tweeters and 4 mids) but my question is about the four wires that go to the front tweeters? How/what would be a good way to wire the tweeters and crossover networks?
i guess im never taking my car into the shop for an install. i dont trust anyone but you guys :*( the level of ingenuity is amazing. keep doing the lords work!
Work of Art! You guys are awesome! Can you tell me which Focal speakers will fit my 06 Toyota 4runner front and rear? Just got the Pioneer 4201NEX and will get Alpine PDX V9 next. Wish you guys were in Los Angeles.
I know the video is 3 years old . I would like to keep my factory head unit in my 2021 Tundra TRD Pro Double Cab . I would like to upgrade speakers and add a sub . What suggestions do you have ? I would like to keep all of the functions of the head unit. Thanks
Hey there, I know it doesn't have much to do with a Toyota but I love you guys's videos. I'm doing my first audio build on my 02 Silverado and was wondering what you think the best front door speakers would be for mid bass without an amplifier?
@@FiveStarCarStereoInc Can you put how much THIS particular install was if someone with the same truck came in and wanted the exact same setup? I'm considering doing this, but I can't get a straight answer from any installers around here. My buddy went to a shop locally here and paid 1800 for two 10s in a box that they just threw under the seat and it looks sloppy.
I have a 2016 tundra with the Entune and GPS, any idea if after market stereos talk to the in-dash directions provided in the mini HUD beneath the odometer etc?
I don't see any explanation how we connect OBDII connection. Can you please suggest how to to that in order to completely finish and where to run the wire in order to have tps and gauges
I installed a Pioneer AVIC-W8500 with Maestro and Sirius and I can’t push the unit back into the dash enough to have it seat properly. Too many wires and components. What’s the secret on a 2019 Tundra?
Having trouble installing an aftermarket radio on a 2007 tundra with a jbl system. Can’t get the sound out. I’m assuming because of the factory amp. Any tips on the install & what wiring radio harness do you recommend.
+Steven Noll Android Auto works the same on every radio. The main difference is the type of screen. Capacitive touch works better then Clear Resistive.
Just wondering if there is a way to retain the info screen on the dash? Directly in front of steering wheel., it shows radio input/station and also shows turn by turn nav?
How much would you charge me for all wireharnesses needed built out and sent to me for a 2019 tundra sr5 trd Sport. I have a pioneer 4660nex. I will install myself. Just need the hardware including the dash kit. Thanks.
Dean u showed fernando in the video taking that cap off then the next scene u talk about that. Then at the end u say he did it. I think u did it Dean and jus blamed on him maybe, LOL. watch it again But i still Love ur videos guys. I was jus nit pickin everyone. Lol

Quick question guys , I’ve searched online and I’ve can’t come across anything for a Toyota Camry SE 2019 without the JBL system. I want to do a speaker replacement and I’m interested in the Focal integration you guys did. It’s it available for the Camry ? if so, where can I buy them from.
If I have a Pioneer AVIC-W8400NEX along with A iDatalink Maestro installed in a 2017 non JBL Tundra will I be able to retain the small screen between speedo and tach that shows average and instant fuel economy? Thank You
Just installed a Maestro RR and Kenwood DNX893S using the same harness as you did. Only problem is the factory microphone is not working. Any suggestions?
Awesome video. I was thinking about upgrading my Tundra....now I think id rather just set myself on fire instead
