@@Jay.Kellett it's because everyone wants to blame everything on the president when they should be looking at thier city and local government. Having these different levels of government is fundamental to our system, yet most people don't vote in these elections. They would rather use disfunction as fodder to try to get thier guy in the Whitehouse when in reality who ever is in the whitehouse has very little impact on people's lives in the short term.
We are just as much to blame as our government for buying into this red vs blue crap and generally being apathetic to our local elections that matter the most. We also have started voting based on our emotions and not a logical analysis of candidates platforms which has in turn, turned campaigns and debates into reality TV and not the serious matter it should be.

There are lots of comments here over the past year saying things to this effect. All of them are unjustified. In fact, we *do not know what the Commissioner wanted*, because (according to M. Taylor xyrself in a comment at watch?v=KDlXyQI1qlk&lc=Ugyyp20-D5bzrIFL-2x4AaABAg.9IP26bVzLxe9IsEAqn4e3D ) the then Commissioner never arranged that meeting. Given that the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner is an elected office and not a policeman, and that back in 2019 the election was scheduled for 2020, I suspect that a politician was thinking of trying to look tough on crime by association for an election campaign rather than that a policeman was trying to stop M. Taylor. We also know from watch?v=KDlXyQI1qlk that M. Taylor turned this shock system into a business back in 2020. The PCC election was deferred from 2020 to 2021 because of COVID-19 (www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/your-council/elections-and-voting/police-and-crime-commissioner-2021-election).

Many years ago my friend, a shop owner, had so many robberies he resorted to a similar strategy. Robbers would come in from from the attic crawl spaces like rats so he had a gauntlet of energized wire, then razor wire, then there was a final ledge that he placed razor blades in a blind spot that had to be grabbed by hands. Eventually the rats figured out the first two obstacles, but the razor blades seemed to be the one that got them every time and they never got past. It was satisfying for him to show me the blood dripping down from the ceiling. I have to admit that it did bring a smile to my face too. Kudos to this man for protecting his van.

My father hired a private tanker to deliver water to our home, so we washed mountains of clothes and in the evening we put them in on lines in the long wrap around colonial style corridors in the house. In the night, a chap cut through the wire mesh, bent the window bars and began to hook the clothes out into a bag held by his pal. My father got up, watched them for a while and shot one of them in the heel. He let the other escape, he was in the armed forces and could have sent them to eternity if he wanted. But, it wasn't any use. Put up a camera. Identified one "visitor". Police told them to stop but didn't charge them. So.......I got my angle grinder and welder fired up, and scattered a few sharp objects on the track. Eventually caught the culprits redhanded, and was surprised to find out it was my neighbours (among others) poaching feral goats. They complained to police about their tyres being ruined. Local cop said he was on his day off, and told them to piss off. Word got around, and my problem has disappeared. No signs. No cameras. Not even a closed gate. And, NO tresspassers either!

Years ago when CB radios were the "hot" items, my sister's CB was stolen from her car; the thieves simply grabbed it and wrenched it from under the dash while the car was at Woodfield Shopping Mall in Schaumburg, IL. The police were useless at that time too. So I installed a new radio under the dash for her, this time screwing razor blades into the sides of the radio near the back. Three weeks later she came out to find "DNA" samples all over the front carpet in blood, as the guy had severed his fingertips when he grabbed the new radio and tried to twist it off the mounts. Look for a guy missing at least two fingertips on his left hand, and one tip from his right hand. But the radio remained in place!

I had them on a lowered 1956 red and cream Fairlane 500 Crown Victoria and (naturally) had, according to the DMV, illegal mufflers - dual glass packs. But these cruiser skirts were beautiful! Alas, some members of Midnight Auto Parts tried to remove them and met with severely sliced and lacerated fingers thanks to a ring of hidden Schick Injector razorblades that some friends and I tack welded on the inside of the fender skirts. No DNA at the time, but bandaged fingers sufficed to identify the suspeced thieves. Back then, teen-age peer justice was a bitch.

They beat him severely, including repeated strikes to his hands with hammers to permanently render them useless. I had to list everything I could remember for the insurance company and have a written affidavit from someone that could speak for my character. Though the insurance paid for my loss it was an awful bother shopping for the same things I'd had and it was impossible to replace custom tools that I'd hand made, and vintage tools that I was gifted from older guys in my field. In this hellhole (central Florida), when you report a theft (out of a locked vehicle or whatever), the pigs tell you "That's what insurance is for" and they refuse to help. (That is, unless you're rich and live in one of 'those' places, then they go over backwards to solve the crime and get your stuff back.) You have someone hacking into your internet (via the cable connection at that) and taking it over (for whatever reason), and you report that - their response is "unless you can prove that they're breaking the law like downloading kiddie porn, there is nothing we can do!" (QUOTE) and when a hacker takes over your elderly folks computer and extorts a lot of money out of them, again "There is nothing we can do!!!". Yet if you call them because it looks like a firework factory or market exploding down the road... what do they do? They come to your house and ream you out for 'bothering them' (the pig finally admitted he could hear the explosions - which cracked two of our windows - more than a mile and a half away, inside his cruiser with the windows closed and AC on)!
Three out of four times we've been stopped were for bogus reasons - a "broken tail-light" that wasn't, having an "illegal scanner" (licensed two-way radio), and so on (they even admitted to profiling us with the "broken tail light" stop and dropped the fines). The other legitimate times - were for things like forgetting to renew the registration before the deadline, and things like that (and not often, even though we have always battled poverty here).
Yet we're supposed to respect and trust and especially OBEY the pigs. Nope, never going to happen unless I can see a good reason for it - and trying to keep us from being a witness to police brutality and abuse of power is not a good reason.

When I was a kid, I had a friend that had started a auto and equipment repair business. Someone broke into his garage and stole the few tools he had at that time. He put a big sign on the garage door stating that any attempt to break in would result in severe electrical shock. He had a neon sign transformer hooked to all the door hardware and window frame (which was steel) that put out 20,000 volts. He heated the garage with fuel oil, and had the tank grounded to prevent electrical shocks from starting a fire. The window was above the tank. One morning there was a big imprint in the snow where someone had crawled up onto the tank and touched the window trying to break in. The shock had knocked him off the tank and back into the snow. No further attempts were made to enter the building.

He show us the piece and said do not touch this piece of wood. A couple of nights later we were about to hit the hay when we heard this muffled bang and we all ran to the window and saw sparks flying out of their chimney and we all laughed like hell and never missed anymore. My Jeep has a Sentry Key fob but I still have an alarm system with an interior radar system that chirps whenever the Jeep is approached. The hood is padlocked down with my own system and I have a under hood switch to kill all power to the starter. I add air horns to the alarm systems that will wake the dead and me at night; the sounds are unique to my vehicles so I know which vehicle is being messed with. My Isuzu Trooper has a fused MSD ignition system and fuse removal will totally disable the ignition. Trick: install a switch up side down where down is ON and up is OFF so that is the last switch to be checked by a thief.

A friend of mine kept having his van broken into so he got a bunch of photo-flash capacitors and connected them to two foil strips glued onto the rear of the steering wheel. Every night he would re-attach the crocodile clips and re-charge the caps. One morning he came back to his van and there was carnage - Blood on the steering wheel, a tooth embedded in it and unidentified filth on the seat. Someone got a surprise.

After 25+ years as a diesel mechanic, my dad retired. With no room in his house he kept majority of his tools in his work van and worked as a freelance mechanic. The night his van was ransacked, his girlfriend called me and told me that he was on his knees, devastated, demoralized. I know and seen the years of hard work he has put in to earn those things. It was hard for me to approach and console him the next morning. He has no plans of wrenching no more.

Stealing somebody’s tools is indeed the lowest form of theft. Taking away somebody’s means to make a living is just the lowest kind of stealing. When and if the so called police in his area ever decide to actually do their job and catch these scum bags, the fact that they’re knowingly stealing tools should factor into the severity of their punishment.

neighbour caught a hood burglaring his house, kicked the shit out of him........that night, knock at door, peelers...."report of an incident here earlier today sir........person assaulted" " No constable, I've been here all day with the missus, nothing like that happened here"
Peeler clapped him on shoulder, and said "Right answer, sir, sorry to have bothered you "
    That's policing.

      timber mighty translation
The. Police were called by the thief that burgled his house because the homeowner had taken his own form of vigilante justice on him, the officer responding to the assault charge had to respond to the assault charge by visiting the homeowner, and his wife but that is all he did, he visited the homeowner and his wife basically just going through the motions, finally leaving with a wink, meaning the officer thought the burglar got what he deserved .a good beating. Burglars in the uk , even when caught red handed just walk away with community service or probation

My old man got his tools nicked from his van, some of the tools were specialist tools that he had owned for 20 plus years and could no longer be bought in shops, they were almost like old friends to him. I always remember the look on his face when he came in the door and said someone had nicked his tools. Just like this guy in this video is saying, sometimes old tools are practically irreplaceable. I remember my old man saying he could lose his job because he had lost his tools, fortunately he had a lot of mates who lent their tools to him until he could get by with new tools. I would cut thieves hands off. I really would.

You would love it over here in the Occupied North of Ireland as they get Shot and you know what the War was like over here friend and if you are a Loyalist the Cop's would turn their backs while they get Shot as they are Pro-British and we are not but don't take that the wrong way as we just want our Country back! I know the look on your Father's face sad to say but once they have be found out they get Shot in different ways, a Bullet through each hand upto a Bullet in the back (spine) as that gives them a 50/50 meaning you were going to be paralysed or dead and the Cop's don't care about hard working men as the Cop's here are used to informer's instead of doing real Police work! If the Copper's make remove the deterrents on this man's van then they better start proper Police work friend as they sell Drug's over here now instead of stealing as there is less risk believe it or not!

Had my van done four times. Once outside my house with a Police Sargent living next door.
He told me off the record that I would never see my tools again, the police just don't have the manpower to deal with van thefts. We are on our own guys.
He also told me that there are firms that do this, they will hit a town and then move on to the next town. All they do is trademen's vans. It is massive criminal business.
Your tools will be shipped out to eastern Europe to be sold.
Be very careful if you work away from home too. Hotel car parks are a real target. Holiday Inn at Heathrow is being hit all the time, the Hotel aren't interested in helping.
Well done to this Electrician. It shouldn't have come to this but we are on our own now. No police to help us so just electrocute them. If 25% of the trades vans in the country had this system, the problem would just go away.
