      Not quite. Rigging up traps that mame or kill should be illegal. This is just barbaric. Unless you can prove to me it kills every time without fail and it kills fast enough so no suffering. Even then, eh...
      Systems that shock, as long as the current is a safe amount, should be legal. It will wake you up, hurt like hell, but ultimately not do any lasting damage unless you have medical conditions.
      That said, my grandpa always says "you're life must not be worth the 17 cents it costs me to reload". And this, depending on the state, is totally legal.

      I don't really care if a criminal suffers. They choose to go out and destroy people's lives and livelihoods, just for us to catch them and then have to fund their imprisonment for years, jjust for them to come out and do the same stupid shit. A dead degenerate is the only good one.

      @@lucifer6966 See, and this is why people generally support shotgun traps. Those kill instantly and without the victim even having a chance to register that anything happened. Generally, people who set those up also set up clear warnings that let anyone approaching know what's about to happen, so at that point, it's on them if they proceed all the way to the trap. Unfortunately, the law still sees things differently...

    This happens because the police are to busy writing tickets instead of trying to stop thieves, they know that the tradesmen will have to buy new tools so it’s good for the economy right? Lol this makes me so mad when cops don’t even try to make a difference, we have been broken into 4 times in the last year and the police didn’t even come out, they just said come down to the station and fill out a report, and then they asked if we knew who was doing it, to which I said if I did I’d shoot the prick myself and save taxpayers dollars, but that’s not legal I guess 🤣

      @claytonwhitman1608 3 роки тому +1

      Hell I wish the cops around here would write more traffic tickets. It would put a dent in the retaliations (road rage). You can always post these clear pictures publicly, with a description of their actions. No one can stop you, it’s not slander or libel if it is factual. If you do that though, be prepared to lay in wait. They will come back for revenge for outing them to teach you a lesson. Shoot them up with an automatic paintball gun. Non-lethal defense of a felony in progress.
      Or, just wait for them to come back if they felt it was an easy score they will return. Kill em when they break in. Self defense and defense of your home is legal. End of problem.

    Love this get it up. I have had my tools stolen twice. Once the thieves had cut a hole through the side of my trailer. I lost about 25k in tools. Police said they could do nothing about it. Wouldn’t finger print or investigate. Best they could do is for me to go look in local pawn shops. I engrave my tools for insurance purposes. So I might be able identify my tools. Police were no help. Second time was in a box store parking lot. Cart boy would call his buddies that were staged in another parking lot. They would come and blitzkreig the trucks and trailers of builders. Take what they could in mere moments and leave. Store said they were not responsible for the parking lot. Eventually I had to go to the other stores and ask for surveillance camera to see if they could spot anything. They did thankfully. Then my insurance said they wouldn’t pay because it was the store’s responsibility. Long story short. I would love to shock the crap out of anyone who tries to take my tools again. Great job Ray!!

      As long as it is designed and intended to be non-lethal, clearly posted (which it is), and it will not harm innocent people, then how can they object?? If you added a chemical dispenser to it, especially inside a locked and alarmed door, that would be perfectly legal and acceptable as well.
      Me personally I believe that all tool thieves should be hung. Simple as that. If you choose to take away a person’s ability to provide themselves and their family a living, you are threatening their lives. Self defense doctrine. If you make the choice, you better know what the consequences are and can be.......... steal from me at your own peril. For those who say this is too harsh or draconian, you would do well to understand that people only obey laws because the punishments are deemed not worth the risks. The veneer of “civilization” is very thin indeed, and it is not voluntary at all.

Last week someone went into the shed and stole my grill. A 20 year old cast iron bucket on a stand to put charcoal in, not even a propane tank. Maybe you could wire up a hammer to knock them unconscious at the side of the van ready for the rozzas to take them away afterwards? This guy needs a medal

      Fine chance! Too busy handing out crime numbers and watching the clock go around until shift-end. Not necessarily their fault though, under funding has caused much of this......

    Stealing a man's tools is akin to stealing a man's tools back in the Wild West days in America! There was no lower than a horse thief. It was survival to have a horse.

    the rpoblem is, if a thief gets shocked, he'll just come back with a can of petrol and burn the van out of spite. Better to try and house the van indoors,behind decent doors.

      Or increase the amperage and just find a good place to dispose of the bodies - society wins.

      Agree - the return of the thief and his mates is a real risk. Also chucking petrol on your house. I never store tools in my vehicle. It’s a pain, but a lot safer.

      Honestly, if you're out looking for specifically tools it's because of the details of the operation. It's easy and hard to track, is what it looks like to me. Is it possible that they might come back and fuck with your house, other possessions? Yeah. But chances are, no. They would be trying to steal the entire truck, etc in that case. In fact they'd probably be breaking into your house as well, in the first place.
