Stock ruck, I hit 38downhill before the rev limiter kicks in, 36mph flat. So people claiming 45 prolly weigh less than 100lbs cuz I’m no where near that.
I'll hit 45 on a slight downhill. Or 45 on a flat if I have enough time to hit the power band. 42 is what I can account for in normal traffic and is what some stock Rucks will run at. I'm 200lbs packed weight and have no problem hitting these speeds. Location and jetting is possibly impacting your speeds.
@@YourOwnAdventure stock ruckus, at sea level 240lb rider. Curious to see if a lighter rider would change outcome. Waiting for Polini variator and cdi box to come in to see if it will improve top speed.
It's definitely possible that it's slower. I had mixed results until I found the best combination for my top speed/acceleration. Your results may vary depending on weight/elevation/belt wear.
Just tried the 6.9 grams from the Polini kit, and they worked pretty well. I also swapped out my belt for a new one. I ordered the Dr. Pulley 5.5 sliders; they should arrive this weekend. I'm going to swap the rolls for the sliders, maybe they work better with a lower weight as sliders compared to rollers.
I think the dr pulley 5.6 gram rollers are the best, also the dr pulley performance drive face and spring and a cdi box to over ride rev limiter, but the cdi also renders your automatic ignition kill switch inoperable, you would have use key to turn off the bike

Cdi, 5 gram slider weights, polini variator installed, ignition coil tach installed 9500 rpm at 42/43mph if no headwind. 240lb rider, pleasantly surprised.
@@FerdiGaleon also did you crank up the PSI in your tires? I go slightly above rated. Good to hear the improvements worked.
i got the polini + the 5.6gram for my ruckus but i feel no difference it feels almost slower :/

What windshield is on your Ruckus? How do you like it?
Just a universal motorcycle windshield from Amazon/eBay
