Your 150 has a 107mm variator in stock form. It is the same thing but the larger variator is 115mm. I have videos on all that. I have a 150 with a cam that it slowed down. But the 115 variator gained a lot of top speed on my 171 kit one. Your rollers are around 14 grams on the 150 also.
I have been going through just this lol. Installed the taida bbk 171cc and can't get the belt to travel up the variator. I had 10g rollers in and it was screaming doing 68.

I put an 842-20-30 belt on with a 115mm variator inner since the face is already 115. The new belt appears to be just slightly wider than the older 835, im guessing due to wear. It is far less quick with the 842 belt. The new belt doesn't sit all the way down into the variator and doesn't go all the way to the outside of the rear clutch pulley. This causes it to feel as if its starting out in a higher gear and not in first gear so to speak. The old belt is in good condition and simply appears worn slightly making it look less wide than the new one. Is this normal? Does a new belt have to break in to be able to sit all the way down into the variator?
@@DakotaWarboys the 842 may not be going all the way to the top of the variator if the bike does not have the power to get it there. Even when the belt goes all the way down in the clutch, with the 115 variator, I don't think the belt will go all the way to the top, but it comes close. You may be faster with a new 835 belt. The new one should be 20mm wide again. They will wear thinner over time.
@@GhettoWrench The issue is just at take off, not top speed. The 835 sits all the way down into the variator. The longer 842 seems wider, possibly from not being worn. The 842 doesn't go all the way down into the variator and doesn't sit all the way at the top of the clutch. This is at idle and take off. It feels like a car taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear. It may just need to be broken in.
@DakotaWarboys I have one maddog that foes that. Idk why, but it is always faster with the 835 belt. It is not a 171 tho... it is still a 150. Maybe not enough power for the gear up 942 belt. Have u tried lighter rollers?
@@GhettoWrench It had 13g rollers in it when I got it. I took 3 out leaving 3 and it hardly moved. Lol. I intend to try all of them down to 9 or 10 just to determine the difference. The issue isn't at all with taking off with the worm 835 belt. It's taking off with the 842 belt that is new. The old worn belt sits all the way down in the variator even though it's shorter in length it's worn so much that the belt is noticeably thinner so it makes it all the way to the base of the variator which gives a very nice take off. I'm probably going to put the 842 back on and let it wear in. I only rode it around the block and took it off. Is there any belt slightly larger than 842? 850 maybe? I'm trying to find that size or near it.
@DakotaWarboys I looked for one awhile back and never found one. I like the feel of heavier rollers, but lighter ones seem to perform better. I just don't like the annoying RPMs for cruising around. After hitting my top speed for bragging rights, I usually go heavier rollers.

Would it be possible for you to get 4 valve head and cam piston it should fly past 50mph
I don't know if they make a 4 valve head. I have "bigger" valve head and a 52.4mm piston and cylinder (89cc) for it. Already has the NCY Cam in it. I will be putting those in soon.
My goal isn’t too speed, what RPM should I be shooting for? I’m around 8k now.
All personal preference. 8k is great RPM. That's where the power comes on strong.
It's a shame there not 2 stroke lot more easily done for more speed
Ikr. Was just looking at old 2 stroke long case engines from some overseas honda. So much more power. The roughhouse is a 2 stroke, but 50cc.
hello, do you know how i can tune my scooter with a gy6 and the newest injektion technology? Its a peugeot kisbee
Rolling wrench makes a GY6 fuel injection kit now. It seems pretty nice but $$ $
@@GhettoWrench no, I mean my scooter has the newest injection and do you know how i can change the fuelling for a sport air filter
@user-gz4gi8qu6o if you have an o2 sensor on the exhaust.... you will see a wire going to something that screws in the pipe, then the computer should automatically adjust the fuel for you when you change filters to a better flowing one.
@@GhettoWrench i have it but when i changed the air filter the scooter was not faster and the spark plug got black at the end
@@DavidMeling oh dang... then I have no idea. Those black boxes are pure magic.
Polini Variators are heavier then there’s supposed to be
@johnyee8888 it IS heavy. I put a DIO NCY 95mm variaror on another 50. I had to modify it, but it seems to be better and lighter.
Not related to this video but what shock are you running?
Tje one in this video from Ali Express. It is too soft sprung for me at 200lbs. My wife rides thus 50. My kid weighs 165 and has tye red bike and lives the shock.

@@GhettoWrench Ali express is legit? I have a John way agility 50 with a 90cc high compression and bigger cam with bigger carb runs good just wanted to upgrade rear shock and can’t find one that’s not crazy expensive and I’m also 280lbs
@@AdamArsenault-lz4qd AliExpress is hit or miss. That shock is nice
@@GhettoWrench thank you!
Time got a 50mm piston?
Ya it's still 49cc
I just want my 139qmb to do 50-55
Me too. LOL
@@GhettoWrench on a related note though, I'm glad you posted this. I'm basically just buying the rolling wrench kits to get mine better suited for daily use. They have a CVT kit I wanted to try once I got the 72cc bbk and the PWK carb kit they offer for the 139qmb. What's your opinion on rolling wrench anyway?
@hesperidesbell4643 He is a great guy. He only sells quality stuff. If he sells it then it works good. His prices are actually good also. Did you get his big bore kit? Did you see the video of the 50 I have doing 54mph with the big bore kit, Cam, 95mm variator and 21mm PWK? I will get this one there soon enough.
@@GhettoWrench I ordered the BBK just yesterday, I'm super excited! I've been watching through your 139qmb playlist but I've been following the maddog build closest due to it being a fresh from stock build. I currently have a vitacci Ryker 50cc I bought a couple weeks ago.
@@hesperidesbell4643 OH cool. That Ryker looks sweet.
Take that air filter off watch it hit 43 45
Might have to go up 1 number on the jet
@workhard6445 well I'm doing 53 now. I have lost air filters before on rides and the bike runs like crap. I would need to tune it for that. Kinda scary running no filter with the tire tossing sand in the intake. Maybe just a thin piece of something like panty hose zip tied around it could work.
Oh I thought it had the plastic shield in front of the tire. 53 jeez that's awesome. My Riva 125 does 60
@workhard6445 my plastic shield keeps blowing our of the way. LOL. Worst design ever. I thought I was on to something till I got it up to speed. 😆
😆
Ps and a small rad
I have an 80cc big bore kit on my peace sports scooter. It also has a pod filter, straight pipe exhaust and a size 90 main jet in the carb. Would I have enough power to use the Polini 95mm Variator?
I would think so. But if you want to be sure, NCY makes a 89mm Variator and honestly it seems to work just as good. You can buy just the variator and spend less also. It is their "Performance" Variator for the 139QMB. I may actually go back to that even with the 90cc kit.
