My friend and I had a deep conversation about budgeting to reach goals & this channel was the first one recommended to her b/c you make it fun to save, and you show that some categories may not get satisfied but it is not the end of the world. When I began my budgeting journey at the beginning of the year, I was BURNT OUTTT by May. I wasn't making it fun for myself; however, I decided to start over again and make it FUN & COLORFUL with the addition of a "Fun" envelope as a reminder that it is okay to ENJOY Yourself while budgeting. 📝💕

This is really interesting… It’s all about the cute binders. I want to know how to get started with cash budgeting. Period it is overwhelming to see all the cute stuff and only makes me overwhelmed because I want to buy buy and that’s what I’m trying to get away from. The putting it all together section was where I wanted to start but by the time the video got there I was panicking over not having the cute stuff lol😅

Currently I’m only running two challenges and just put it in my sinking fund binder. But once those are done, I’m definitely going to transition to a separate binder. Makes so much sense!

I just use regular envelopes. Nothing fancy. I am more concerned with sinking funds for next year. Pet liscence, Pet vaccinations, car plates, renters insurance, Yearly zoo pass. Then when those known expenses are completed, I move to things like grandkids birthdays, Eating out, gas money, etc. It helps me to see a goal and save better than just tossing money into a savings account which is easy NOT to do. It is surprising how fast those envelope categories get filled up when you painlessly throw in 5 or 10.00 each pay period.

Wow, that was so helpful. I have my sinking funds started but I still struggle with the budgeting. I purchased about 3 of your books, I am going to see if you have a bi-weekly budgeting book. I save but I only pull out the money for our envelope challenge, my 1000+ scratch savings I got from you and whatever else I want to stuff. I still have money in my account. Thus, the constant buying still. I think if I take out everything and leave that buffer. I will be better off. Eliminating the extra spending. This video was helpful. Thanks 📝

That made a few things clearer!! I’ve been doing this for several months but hadn’t thought about the organization tips - like the annual sinking funds binder: I have those funds but not in a separate binder. I have three binders and I keep getting confused with where things are. Keeping the sinking funds in one, monthly expenses in another, and challenges in a third makes sense (I did have the challenges all in one, at least). 📝

Personally I prefer the bigger envelope set up that allows you to put the bills in the envelopes without having to fold them. I find the bigger ones to be less tedious working with LOL
I need to budget better. I am trying to find a part-time job. I do have some monthly income. I do volunteer work too. I am saving for a used vehicle to get around with. I recently got my probationary license a few months ago. My biggest purchase will be used vehicle shopping.
Ok, this might be a dumb question, maybe it was answered. What happens when you go to the store and you buy things from different categories? Beauty, clothing, groceries.. how do you determine what envelope to pull from? Or do you pay separately?
I would love to use the cash stuffing method, but in Sweden we don't really use cash (and most stores do not accept cash). It's really difficult to follow-up on your budget when everything is paid with a debit card... Love the cash stuffing content though!!! And your nails are gorgeous 🥰
