Congratulations. Gonna pick my Roscoe 7 at noon today. Almost ordered the Marlin 7 Gen 2 with upgrading to tubeless & dropper post so with this one no need. Nice video.
Great video.!I am looking at picking up a Roscoe 7 too.I have been doing a lot of research.I have been out of mountain biking for abiut 15 years or so.Going to get back into it.Mostly will be doing light trail riding though. My butt is going to hurt.I remember that feeling!Your video makes me miss Arkansas so much.I have been out here in this Colorado mess for many years.
The Roscoe has been super fun for me! I also took a long break from mountain biking, about 13 years. I've been going twice a week for a month now, and I'm already in better shape, and my butt doesn't hurt anymore, lol. You will have a blast on the Roscoe! I wish I was closer to Colorado. I love biking and climbing there. I tried to move there a few years back, but the cost of living is just crazy high. I love being close to Arkansas. Not quite Colorado but it's definitely got its perks
Thanks for the video! Ordered my Roscoe 7 from a nearby Trek store a week ago and am very anxiously awaiting the call that it is ready. Initially was looking at the Marlin 8 Gen 3 but right now the Roscoe 7 was only $100 more so the salesman sort of upsold me to it. I’m pretty late to the mountain bike game as I’m in my early 50’s so didn’t want anything too hardcore. Looks like this will be a good all a rounder for an oldie newbie, can’t wait to get it and get on the (easy) trails! Will be looking for gloves now too 😊. Seems like I always wait until my hand is injured to realize I should’ve worn gloves, your video will help me be proactive in this endeavor.
I think you made a good purchase, it's a great bike, not only for beginners but for all skill levels. Thru Axles, air fork, excellent frame, boost etc ect All these are markings of a serious mountain bike. Anybody who tells you otherwise is an elitist mtb snob. I have a Roscoe 9 but Roscoe 7 is also an excellent bike.
@@rca3rd judging others based on their bank account is dumb. I try to just have fun spread positivity and be happy with what i have! Enjoy your roscoe!
a good pair of gloves can enhance your ride, and protect your hands. As a beginner your gunna take a few falls. natural to put your hands out to break the fall so ...great vid and personally you cant go wrong with the roscoe 7 especially if your fairly new to the sport. its a good solid mountain bike to learn and gain confidence on.
So I think cruising through trails is decrease chances of injury but if you want to go fast and push it than wear more personal protection than just a helmet. Gloves, shoulder, elbow, and knee pads, and full face helmet like the pros that is under their clothing. ligaments and tendon tears takes months to heal like shoulder and wrist. Lower tire pressure for more traction and adjust fork psi for stability in turns and jumps if needed.
Oh wow! Very nice color. I didn't see that they had the 24 models. I just purchased my 8 for sale @1600 and wada steal. I'm currently breaking in the miles for my first time up from my lbs. a@@colby_rogers
I was also torn between the two. I'm happy with my decision. They both have the same frame. After I do upgrades, it will be the same bike, no matter if it is the 7 or 8. Enjoy your new ride! Thanks for watching!
@@colby_rogers I got the 7 🚴♂️ I felt the same way, Upgrade when I need to but I have to return it and get a smaller one, I'm 180 cm and got the L but it feels to big and clunky for some reason. It should fit me but it doesn't. I might go for the M or m/l 🤔
@Fishplants hmm interesting 🤔. I am 6 ft, and I like how the large fits me. My brother has a medium, and it feels too small, in my opinion . Hope you end up getting the right one. It's quite the investment but will last many years
@@colby_rogers Does it feel small for your arms or legs ? I think the L fits me for my legs but the reach gets a bit to long 🤔 I'm gonna measure RAD today to see what bike would fit me better
@Fishplants sorry for the delay response. I find the reach to be about perfect for me. Maybe some riser bars would shorten that distance for you. I do get some should pain after long rides. Not sure if it's the long reach or I'm just getting old haha
POS.... I GOT MINE FOR FREE IN PERFECT CONDITION, ABANDONED, EXCEPT SHIFTER WAS BROKE SO, UPGRADED TO NEW SHIFTER WITH SIGHT GLASS, CUSTOM COMFORTABLE LEATHER SEAT, CUSTOM DECALS, CUSTOM ALUMINUM PEDDLES, H-D KICK STAND, TOURING GRIPS, $140 BUCKS.....TASTEFULLY DONE. NOW I SHOULD RIDE IT ...OH YEAH....ITS A MONSTER TRACTOR
🔥You have probably realized by now that you made an excellent decision to purchase these wheels. There sick ! Congrats 👍
Great video. Welcome to the Roscoe family! Enjoy and be safe.
Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Got my Roscoe 7 and your video helped me getting it. Safe travels.

For sure.Whole lot of those elitist mtb snobs out here in Golden Colorado.I am getting the Roscoe 7 soon. They can all look down their noses at me.

That is a Roscoe 8 btw, I have that same bike love it so far
It's a 7, New generation colour. Probably 2024 Model
I am getting the same bike, but hey those are pretty hardcore trails for a beginner.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy your new Roscoe!
What cam/phone were you using while riding?
gopro 9! Looking at a 360 camera for my next investment

@synergytech7323 thanks for the tips! I'm getting too old for injuries. I've had plenty in my days, haha!
Great video. I really like your helmet. Please tell me what the model is. Thank you!!!
It is the smith engage mips. Great helmet!

Isn't that an 8? Based on the color way and rockshox35. I just got my 8 and the blue was the only other color available. Nonetheless, a solid hardtail
It's the 2024 roscoe 7 in dark aquatic. The 8 is a different shade of blue. Same frame, very similar specs. Thanks for watching!

What size did you end up going with and how tall are you ?
Size large, and I am 6 ft. I think it's a perfect fit, but I obviously don't have much to judge off of since this is my first bike
This or the 8, it's been 2 weeks and i cant make up my damn mind lol
Im a beginner to and the 8 version is 1699 and the 7 1270
