So forgefiend seems to be a decent option for custodes. Stay 15 inches away, and when you charge use lethal and sustained. Use the forgefiend to soften them up so it's less likely they want to spend 2 cp also daemonprince with beserker glaive/ brazen ire is a good awnser
Hows a great unclean one 230 points, and a fkn daemon prince is 220 points. Just look at the difference and tell me this crap is balanced. Theres no balance to competitive play. A daemon prince should be 160 pts tops. WE overcosted now Unfortunately. I will still play my WE for fun and because I love the army. But im going to focus on painting all my stuff up in prep for them to get a big points drop when the dex comes or in a balance dataslate. I've been list building for weeks, and no matter what I do... the list is always lacking and seems weak and low model count. And Im always 10-20 pts short for building the list I really want to take. They need to drop in points, nerfing them was a massive mistake on GW's part.
Yea and I'm not even mad about the glaive nerf. they just need a slight points drop across the board. They should of made the rules adjustments but kept the points where they were. I lost about 100 points post dataslate. WE's were not THAT oppressive to warrant the changes IMO@@benhauser730
Look at Sean naydens WE list. The LoS is unironically a really viable and menacing model to build a list around. I see more events being won with a variation of that list. It's too bad though that there are only like 5 competitive data sheets in the entire index though.
The problem is our rules are insane, so they tax mediocre units like the daemon prince into being premium prices. They just don't really know how to balance our prices with our rules atm.
I disagree that our rules are insane. I feel they are mediocre at best. You see how WE did this weekend across all the tournies? 4-2 was best record. GW screwed us as customers by releasing 10th right after they gave us a brand new codex we waited 25 years for. I spent $60 to have a codex for 3 months. Now we arent even in the codex lineup preview for this year. We will be getting our codex in 2025 at the earliest...lmao. They threw together our rules for 10th, when the rules in our codex worked just fine they changed it in 3 effing months. Stu Black can literally kiss my ass. Hopefully they will adjust our points back to where they were pre-dataslate. Otherwise we will be getting the shaft for the unforseeable future. GW hates melee armies for some reason. @AllGodsDue

I tend to agree with you. For an army that had a reasonable win rate and a couple big wins, they got whacked pretty hard.
