The Titan Stealth Leg Press is a rack-mountable leg press that turns your squat rack into...a leg press. I've been using and abusing the Stealth Leg Press in workouts for a bit and now I want to give you a Titan Stealth Leg Press review so you can decide if you want to add it to your home gym.
In addition to a leg press, it can also be used as a sled and a dip station. There's a lot going on in this somewhat compact device and there are some surprising features. Let's review...

It’s a cool piece of gear, great review. If my home gym had enough room to store that, I’d consider buying an actual leg press machine instead. There’s a strong correlation between the amount of effort required to set up a piece of gear, and my avoidance of said piece of gear. I’d probably use it for a few weeks then rarely touch it.

Add some "wings" to your power rack, get some extra uprights and crossmembers, and build out your rack on either side, then you can add attachments to the rack and leave them on, problem solved

I’ve had mine for a few months now, gotta say that I really do like it and have found it to be versatile. It took me a while to come up with a way for my bench to stop moving backwards during use with heavy weights but once I figured that out it’s been golden. I definitely agree Titan has been stepping it up recently in quality

I have another brand of Stealth Leg press for my rack. The minor inconvenience of hooking it up to the rack is so worth it on leg day. You can easily detach the loading pins from the back of the leg press with quick hitch pins so it’ll be basically a flat storage option against the wall, and not so obtuse to move around. All in all, $600 is a stellar price, and Titan has been creeping up the quality control ladder steadily the last few years, and their prices with free shipping makes them hard to pass up. Also, to prevent the bench from moving backwards with increasing weight, simply chain the front feet of the bench to the front supports of your rack.

I bought one of these, and i Agree with your comments. This definitely has its quirks.
The one thing i havent seen mentioned, but this things does ok for calves as well. And if you have long bands, you can place the barbell in the feet for the sled and do banded leg press which is actually a nice addition to the home gym. If youre taking the time to put this thing up, youve really got to use it in that days workout.
Also, i use some soft loops to attach handles on the back side (with the weights) and than have something additional for back as well.

I enjoyed watching Coop play "horseshoes" with a bumper plate in sled mode. Cool piece of equipment but I'm not sure I'd spend $600 on it. I'll have to think about this one over the winter. Still hoping for that review of the Rogue "Cave." (I'll never be able to justify the expense of buying my own cave but with its al a carte menu in the build it would be interesting to see the final price tag when Coop gets down reviewing his personal version of it. I'm thinking it will be more expensive than many peoples cars.)

I recently got one of these and what i will say is this: use the hooks in the rear and place a barbell across a set of them… then load ur weights onto the bar from the side… i dont use the long bars in the rear it came with… and i leave it connected and never have to remove it from my rack… this open up the cent of the rack for pull ups and other stuff. If u remove the bar that u put thru the hooks u can then lock this sled to the front of ur rack and perform squats inside, or rack pulls and all sorts of stuff… no need to even remove this thing
I havent tried it as a sled but might now that i see how it works…

*These have actually been around for quite a few years and I built my own from 4x4's a few years ago.* As with all pirated and cannibalized inventions as times goes on, there's always room for improvement.
*Ultimately, it's in a power rack so no matter how good of a design, unless you have a tremendously strong and stationary rack, you won't be putting a thousand pounds on one.* This one is rated for 500 lbs, and while my rack like many is rated for 1,000 lbs, it's not designed for even half of that to be pendulum stress shifting broadly and constantly at an angle. *I had cut some steel plate at one point to add angle braces all over my rack to overcome it shifting in balance, and make it all around much more stable and durable.*
*I must close by pointing out majority of us are not powerlifters or strongmen, and if you are a bodybuilder even competitive, some of us can still get 1st place competition legs by maxing one of these out.*

I always enjoy your Titan reviews, because time and again I buy their stuff for the non-essential quality things in a home gym. You wants and arguably need quality barbells. Don't skimp there. You want a quality platform/surface to lift off of. You want a good, solid bench. But their T3 rack is about perfect for a home gym from a value point of view. All the plates are made in the same place, and there's tend to be amongst the cheapest. And overall, I just find providers like Rogue and Sorinex and whatnot are just overkill for what I want and need out in the garage (not that it's wrong to get them or anything).

I've been using this with myself and the friends I train at my gym for 2 months now (I bought it basically immediately)
Love it, but a couple things:
-It says it has a 500lb weight limit, and all of us were able to do that for high reps immediately, so I dont think this will ever be useful as a double-leg leg press, and besides with that much weight it pushes back the bench we sit on even with someone sitting on the back.
-As a one-leg leg press, this thing is elite. It's more like a level(lever*) squat really in terms of mechanics but that's awesome so whatever. Be careful of hanging on the thing to lift yourself out if you have high weight on the bar, because me having 400+ on there plus my bodyweight for a second put a small bend in the upper right bar
-It's pretty hard to move around alone without hurting your shins, but there's a couple ways you'll figure out
-Would have been shitloads better if there was a solid-steel and maybe even properly-tensiled bar all the way through the top, and then the aparatus was attached to that. It would have a way higher weight capacity and I'd feel much better
That said, we use it twice a week or more and it's wonderful.

I don't use it on that rack because it's a half rack but as storage it works great. Now for chest it is perfect for like a push-up simulator but you can go way heavier. Plus you can hit your chest from different angles. It also works great for glutes but that isn't really a reason I would buy this. I agree on the sled review. It works I'm sure but I have never used it for that. I'm holding out to buy a M1 Tank for that. Now for leg press options it works perfectly. I get a great workout from it every time. I am looking into coming up with a way to extend the stopper handles back towards the body so you don't have to lean forward to do it. I do recommend this to anyone thinking about it.

So long as it performs a similar function to a machine leg press, then I'd say it's a great idea for most home gym owners. Whilst it may not be as a good as a dedicated leg press machine, sled, kickback machine etc., the fact it can be used for all of those, without taking up as much space, and for significantly cheaper than buying all those implements separately, makes it a great tool. I would still prefer a proper leg press machine, sled etc, but I'd also need a lot more money and a bigger garage, so something like this would be a great alternative.

What was the Max rating for weight on it, and does say 500 lbs on this feel close to 500 lbs on a regular 45 deg one? Personally its intriguing, but not sure all that setup plus the time it takes to load much more plates than say a squat would take would be worth it. I fabricated a pretty great rack mounted reverse hyper and it seems to be a lot less setup than this and its pretty much a wall ornament at this point!

Seems like the action of this leg press is going to behave more like a light leg press with bands due to the pendulum motion. Probably going to need a bazillion pounds on this thing to make the hole shot feel like there is anything there and then the full extension is going to feel like pressing mount everest. (depending on how long your legs are)

If you use a reverse band set up, it might help to lift the behemoth into the rack. Not sure lol

You can also use bands to keep the resistance strong. I’d rather buy a leg press hack squat combo for $2k in the future when I have the room. Great review Coop 👌

+1 for leg press machine. I’m getting a leg ext / curl attachment for my bench instead of a separate machine to save space for the leg press.
I do calf raises on leg press machine as well.

Any issue with it saying it has a 500# weight limit? I’ve used the hammer version before and know I could get well above that and can on a squat press which is a similar arc to this but inverted. Really want one but the weight restrictions concerns me

Trying to set this up after doing squats would be discouraging enough to probably not bother. or even taking it off after to use the rack after. for me, I try to keep my transitions seamless. it's hard enough to be smooth at home especially if you like supersets or circuits.

Force usa machines have the best leg press thats built into a all in one i came across. Its a simple efficient solid modular design. And completely vertical so you get the full weight. Though the force usa quality is mediocre for the price. I own the g12.
