I agree with you on the decision by apple to not allow the user to have a way to toggle the backlight on or off depending on their own level of vision level. Being a senior citizen, my eyesight is not what it once was. I suspect Apple doesn't have many senior citizens on their engineering staff.
I think you gotta turn off the automatic screen brightness to solve that as it uses the iPad’s ambient light sensor for both the screen and the keyboard. Would’ve liked to just have backlight control keys also tbh instead of doing it in control center
I just wish they would have made it backwards cmpanitble.. they keep saying they care about the environment but you have to buy EVERYTHING new every generation.. it’s kinda hypocritical they don’t include stickers.. because climate.. but you have to throw away all your old stuff now
Apple doesn’t care about the environment, all of that is just so they look good to the main public. They will go “green” just as far as their profit motive lets them.
