- In this challenge run we will be playing a Githyanki Way of the open hand Monk. Roleplaying as a member of Orpheus’s bodyguard, we move to make our way to Baldur’s gate in order to get the orphic hammer, freeing our ruler and putting an end to the Ghaik infestation. And we'll be doing it all alone, lonewolf.
We're playing on tactician, the hardest difficulty so this solo run will test our mettle. We’ve got plenty of footage this run so I’m breaking it up into multiple parts, that being said this video we will take on the Aunt Ethel, the inquisitor, and Grym before headed to act 2.

great stuff; small detail: you actually can take the mountain pass to the shadowlands without siding with the absolute. I sneak past the conversation where you would play the lyre for the drider to come, and sneak to the house where the harpers would ambush, but instead, if you do it like that, there are no harpers, and instead you can intercept the drider party with a cutscene, coughing to make your presence known, and get a moonlantern and send them off into the shadowlands without it. Disguising as a drow helps, I believe, but I dont think it is essential. That is how I start off the shadowlands in all of my runs.
really been enjoying your videos and streams, bg3 is such a fun game for challenge runs. i was wondering if you upload your previous streams somewhere? i missed the climax of act 2 and would like to watch it! also looking forward to your next video 👍

Honestly better editing than most other videos, really like the house of hope cut in your first video. Hope we have some more of that. Audio quality could be better but hell it's good enough for me

So the trend's now the lonewulf fists only, wich isn't even that hard since Monk is broken and punching ppl feels like having cinderblocks for hands.
Just buy a bunch of Hill Giant Elixirs from the dwarf lady in the Mycanoid colony and abuse Cull the weak, it's litterally as ez as whiping your ass if you allow reloads.

I like your editing style but the audio balancing could use some work, it's hard to make out what you're saying.
I appreciate it! I do need some work on audio balancing lol, it'll take some trial an error, though to that and I also need a better mic hopefully soon!
with all the githyanki-themed gear I this game there is probably a good "challenge" run in there somewhere. you do it b/c I refuse to play as gith, lol
But the Githyanki gear is all so good! I'll definitely think about doing a themed run but Im not sure if it'll be challenging lol

so where did you put the rest of your points 14 in str and 15 in dex got 15 points extra do i just put the rest into con?
You honestly have a lot of points to work with if you Drink elixers of strength (You can buy some from auntie daily). If you've got max wisdom just put it in Con, you can always go to withers and respec your stats if you need to for 100 gold.
why is almost everyone I see stealing the blood rather than doing the quest to get it. its free xp.
I thought it'd be fun to blow it up lol, by the end of my last run I was level 12 with a massive excess of XP so im not too concerned about it

Because I was level 5! I was going to mention I grinded to 5 originally in the script, but it didn't flow well.

@@Pheeon quick question. Can you tell me if you cross class or if would do a full run what you’d pick?
@@zt_apatight9831 I was originally just pure monk, though I eventually needed in act 2 to multiclass into rogue, going for their at level 3 as you get an extra bonus action. You can most likely do pure monk though I wanted to optimize a bit
@@Pheeon open fist or ??? Also what lvls did you class and switch at?
@@zt_apatight9831 Yup! open fist, i believe level 8 I swapped so I can keep the multi attack from level 5 monk, that way you can do four unarmed attacks without any ki points, Make sure you stay up to date on equipment! The shop keeper in the mountain pass has a very good torso and gloves slot.

Sure! I haven't written the script for the last part, so I'll be sure to address some points
I think it would be cooler if you didn't use monk for this challenge, just base fist.
Don't think I wasn't thinking about it! I ultimately figured it would be less interesting (and more excruciating)
Who needs weapons when you've got fists of fury like our monk here? Baldur's Gate better watch out, Orpheus's bodyguard is coming for the Ghaik infestation...one punch at a time! 💥
