You had to reprime to restart.....isn't it obvious you have a air leak at a fuel connection....hose bulb will stay firm during correct operating conditions
but yes sometimes a air leak will do the same I'm not disagreeing it just wasn't the case for this motor it didnt mater what tank hose or anything that was hooked to it replaced fuel lines everything and still was doing the same adjusted the float back to level problem was fixed still fixed today
all idle mix are the same, back out to max idle rpm and then a bit more, adjust for good throttle drop and accel from there. you can usually start from around 2 turns out on most carbs
@@michaeldinu7684 the idle mixture adjustment screw is the one on the top. You slowly open that up till no more RPM increase and you get a good throttle drop. You might not have a high enough float level but sounds like you need to just clean it and do a carb kit. I found you don't need the accelerator pump, you can just put a gasket in there to cover, it works fine.
Mine start first time for like ten second then i I try to start again it start then shuts off as quickly as I light my hand off key I spent a lot of money on this motor Simone lmk 😊
i have the exact same fault tryed everything ordered a new pump, going to look at the carb float next thank you
What. Did you use to remove and install those doors carb nuts. Such a pain in the ass

Weird it's still running today same connections and all I checked for air leaks obviously that was first

I have a problem with a carburetor like that, can you help me, or how can I contact you?
What size wrench do you need to take the nuts off the carb?

I have the same engine. Do you know the factory mixture screw setting? Google is being of no help at all. Thanks

@@FourthWayRanch which carb adjustment screws are which? I get a super high rev in neutral, but in gear…I’m plowing…not enough rpms.

why is there a screw blocking the idle air intake on the top? There is supposed to be a little screen in there to let air flow for idle
this motor has a mixture screw u adjust the screw for how much air it needs the older engines had them the newer have a jet like style
Nice little bug in there

Is that how high these engines should idle I have a Johnson 15 same exact motor that’s why I’m asking
It should not idle that fast ever. He most likely has the throttle open
Our Evinrude runs about 15 min then stalls. Carburetor was overhauled. Do you think its overheating?
it was a bad powerpack causing that on mine I discovered.
