Those TRP Hy-Rd brakes are actually a hydraulic piston actuated by a standard cable. Perfect hydraulic option for travelling because you don't have to worry about kinking your hydraulic line or hydraulic fluid leaking all through your bike bag. I've got them set up on my cyclocross bike, can't fault them!
Would have loved to hear from Susie herself, and she was right there! Having the pros comment on their own equipment is a great added bonus, and makes for your best videos.
Global Triathlon Network How about flexibility in tilt, comfort over riding time, hip stability, maybe even which one matches uci/itu rules, personal recommandation (circumstance dependent?) Thank you
It would be nice if in the future you can get details as saddle height , drop to bars etc. and the weight of the bike, not that important but still nice to know.
Does anyone know where can i buy/replace the Smartpak inner compartment on the P5x? And is there any difference if you put the Basebar upward or downward position? I see in the video it's on upward position (Same as mine) but i also see other pictures on downward position.
For gearing, aren't the front/rear derailleurs the Shimano Dura Ace 9070? I thought only the TT shift levers were 9071 model because the 9070 is the road bike variant.
Do you have statistics for non-professional participants regarding type of bike and cycling time completion? I checked few videos (made in transit zones and on the roads) and noticed that the "age groups batch" is prone not to tackle fully aero on TT bikes. More other, those on road bikes in that "mere mortals" group look more "contained" both on drops or tackled aero on the hoods or aerobars. In other words, regardless of the outstanding endurance ability, why bother with an ultimate aero machines whilst not taking an advantage? For example, with predominant cross winds, riding on drops may give more speed just due to higher bike stability compared to riding on TT "shoulders up" and struggling for the bike stability.
A small suggestion: have you thought of changing your video timetable so it *doesn't* match with GCN's, so that those of us who follow both feel like there's more variety throughout the week? I really think it would make more sense as currently having both GTN/GCN shows or famous bikes on the same day is not that useful and entertaining!
Fair enough! Just wanted to share my thoughts in case other people felt the same. I guess if GTN ever want to think about it they'll do a poll or something :)
I'm curious if/how she can see her bike computer over her bar-mounted hydration. Wouldn't she need to be super aggressive in her set up so that her eyes are just in front of front axle?
This bike is the only one I consider as a upgade to my Spcialized Shiv. However I can't understand why they integrated everything exept of the hydration?! This gives me really headaches, they have so many space on, better in it and didn't come to the conclusion to integrate a bladder would make it eaven better?! I'm really disaponted.
Can you imagine having to clean out the sticky residue of a drink if you couldn't remove it from the bike though!? Pretty filddly and messy I reckon, so a removable 'normal' aero bottle is probably best.
That derailleur seems to be stretched out already and the chain isn't even halfway up the block on the back. I know those ceremicspeed jockey wheels tend to do that but this just looks like the chain is too short compared to other bikes with the same setup.
I was like *boy who saw presents under xmas tree with puppy eyes* ohh! nice bike! type Cervelo p5x price on google search website then shut my laptop and weep like there is no tomorrow.
I possess 20plus years experience designing and building aircraft tools. I've also been riding road bikes 50 plus years. I've designed a no hands shifting system for road bikes. Very aero extremely accurate and fast shifts. I seek interested persons to financially participate in the development of a fully functional prototype.
I like the bike but it's far too expensive. It's double the price of the Diamondback Andean which is the 'fastest triathlon bike in the world' so I got that bike instead of this.
How could that ever be an improvement?! Based on what I'm reading right now this hybrid set-up was designed to allow riders to switch from mechanical disc braked to this hybrid disc brake system without having to change the whole bike and lever hoods. But does a professional athlete really have this problem? Also, these came out in 2013 to ease the transition to hydraulic disc brakes. We are now 4 years later. I can't imagine that Cheetham / her team has such a small budget that they can't afford full hydraulic brakes. And, from what I am reading, the hybrid version is admittedly not as good as the full hydraulic version. So, aside from saving a tiny bit of money, what is the benefit here? This seems crazy. 2:22 Even that fly was like "Hmm, nice crank set."
housefly spotted 😁
I don't know if I'll ever get over the shock of the P5X's shape, but wow, that's a fierce looking bike.

Everybody watching this, has to give a thumbs up because you can not not like this bike. It is amazing!!
That's the same as my commuter bike
Mine too, i usually use it only for the crappy roads👍
Freehub sound???
I have the same front bottle, so pretty similar really, apart from the other quite expensive parts...
lol, you have an expensive one, i have a similar rear bottle :D and bike color, just that.
Would have loved to hear from Susie herself, and she was right there! Having the pros comment on their own equipment is a great added bonus, and makes for your best videos.
I use this for bmx tricks myself
How about a split-nose saddle vs regular TT vs regular street saddle review?
Would be great, thank you
Nice idea, what should we compare?

its not a bike. its a fighter jet.
the intro is like 2 fighter jet meet on the ramp.

I wonder how many they actually sell, the in store price is like 10Gs stock, and none of those builds are the stock builds either.
AMAZING!
Wow I want a bike like this does Walmart carry them?
Can I but a replacement battery?

Some people may like getting all the same stuff between GMBN, GTN, GCN at the same time
doesn't bother me
Dont see the problem
I agree, I don't see the problem with changing it as you still get all the items, but I for one get quite bored of pro bikes at the weekend!
Fair enough! Just wanted to share my thoughts in case other people felt the same. I guess if GTN ever want to think about it they'll do a poll or something :)
Hello, wonder to know if she uses Tubular or Clincher tires?
Y not use a disc at the back and a deeper front? That would make the airflow sooooo smooth with that frame
Calvin Pessl Kona set-up perhaps? No discs
Paul Fitzpatrick i forgot O.o
But what about a zipp 1080 or so? Very nice at a yaw angle of 8-10
this bike looks like its about to fly!@@!! man i love this bike
I would like to buy such a bike, is there a version with wider tires and a higher tire profile. In our country there are poor quality roads
With the p3x, you can install fatter tyres . The front and rear have a bigger gap for bigger tyres
You meant to say that on her front Q-rings she has a custom chosen house fly
Bike muito toppp
Great bike ;-;
Cable, not hydraulic disc brakes?
It's missing a stock hydration system, they're building a fast endurance bike...seems only a few manufacturers are integration hydration.
What about suspension?
OK so let's see the Omni tri rig next.
More Susie time!
I'm curious if/how she can see her bike computer over her bar-mounted hydration. Wouldn't she need to be super aggressive in her set up so that her eyes are just in front of front axle?
This bike is $16,000 😱😵
Thumbs up here.

That's why I talked about a bladder like Specialized did it. No problem at all. In my case I do use it only for water, so not a problem.
mechanical disc brake?
they are cable actuated yes, but are semi hydraulic. the pistons are moved by oil
That derailleur seems to be stretched out already and the chain isn't even halfway up the block on the back. I know those ceremicspeed jockey wheels tend to do that but this just looks like the chain is too short compared to other bikes with the same setup.
I'm surprised youtube does not yet flag this as porn
No weight?
My P5X XL is 10.9kg with HED Jet 6 and 9
I’m been totally honest I would be scared to sit on it doesn’t look right without the seat tube lol
That intro had me laughing out loud...
That's because you're a simpleton.
Wow, woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Have a nice Sunday...
Very original name. Wonder if u watch gcn
this bike...
is not for mortals..

Dann that I call a clean cassette
Its me that was exactly my thought, it looks brand new
I know for a fact that she put's them in her dishwasher ;-)
I don't think my cassette was that clean new. That is certainly not a colour i've ever seen before

Gmbn gcn gtn what more?
And on the Qrings, there is a bug
2inpower= twinpower
Gels are nasty. Dates and bannana smoothies ftw
Is it an optical illusion or are those elliptical chain rings that he never even mentioned?
He mentions the Rotor Q-Rings at 2:26. He should have mentioned the weight though.
of course they are... it's printed in big letters on the chainrings: "Q-rings"
he mentioned them
I like the bike but it's far too expensive. It's double the price of the Diamondback Andean which is the 'fastest triathlon bike in the world' so I got that bike instead of this.
Has the Diamondback won any important races?
MECHANICAL DISC BRAKES?!!?!?!?!?
Alan Taylor Farnes 😵
Alan Taylor Farnes they're actually hydraulic, actuated by a cable. It's a hybrid set up.
How could that ever be an improvement?! Based on what I'm reading right now this hybrid set-up was designed to allow riders to switch from mechanical disc braked to this hybrid disc brake system without having to change the whole bike and lever hoods. Alan Taylor Farnes it wasn’t actually available when the bikes were first released. They are all getting switched now :)

OH HI TheCommieBoy
It's a 12,000 dollar bike

I need your bicycle
I thought it was an e-bike lol

Bike packing triathlon bike? So much storage in the frame and an extra frame bag it would be perfect
A small suggestion: cut the accent down bout 40%.,,,, It's getting old guys. Cer' ram mick chain. Her, only in a split second of the video?
No free hub test = doesn't count.
No freehub test = no like
