Day 7 I completed 108 suryanamaskar.The slow correct and apt speed helped sync my respiration (inhalation/exhalation) with full and complete asanas involved in suryanamaskar.This doesnt cause injury or pain.The break at half point n the shavasans were really very good.Unlike other vdos on the subject who have converted this super suryanamaskaar into a total cardio stuff this video is pious, nice ,slow and steady . ऊँ

Hi, I am practicing Suriya Namaskar today by this video. Today is day 1. I couldn't do 108 first day..can you help me with how to do(count) daily practice and increase gradually to reach 108 count

We would suggest starting at a comfortable pace and doing at least 3 to 5 rounds (right and left side) hold that count till it becomes easy for you and your breathing is steady. At that point you can decide if you want to increase by 2 or 5 rounds (depending on your capability) Surya Namaskar while giving you a cardiovascular benefit, should still be done comfortably and you shouldn't be at a point of breathlessness as each breath is coordinated with a movement. same instruction makes it very monotonous for 108 rounds. better to minimise instructions after maybe 10 rounds by using just count (inhale up, exhale down, inhale right back, etc). this is the true traditional Surya Namaskar practice & its wonderful. After 108 SN perfect to perform cooling pranayama: sheetali & sitkaree and Nadi Shodhan to balance Ida & Pingala & activate Sushumna. Peace & Love Yogis
It is said excess of everything is bad. Some say 108 Suryanamaskar can have adverse effect on ur spine. SO should one actually do 108 Suryanamaskar on daily basis or no. Plz answer this
108 surya namaskars is not suitable for all. Only kapha people can do once in a week. Vaata 25 rounds is max. Pitta people 12 rounds is max. If you are not able tondo its OK.

no. Its not for daily practice. May be yearly 5 to 6 times is OK
