Thank you for all the support you have shown my clothing line. I'm excited to announce you can shop my FINAL collection now: annabeyshop.com/collections/all
How do we figure out which size fits us?
I was hoping for silk and cashmere collections 😥❤
The sleeveless white dress is a dream! 🥰
Anna, you've really grown and changed over the last few years. Your priorities are admirable, and you seem happier. I'm so happy for you.
Anna. You are a boss. You have created a brand, an online presence, and now a shop! Kudos. You are an inspiration.
I’m from the older generation. I’m 68 retired so I wear very nice but casual clothes. I live in a California desert where it’s always extremely hot when it gets that way I move up to the mountains. I have a completely different wardrobe in the mountains if I wear my desert clothes in the mountains, people think I look weird, they’re dressy and really nice. My mountain clothes are very casual but still nice just different. I don’t have a big wardrobe but the clothes I have I wear. I only have a few bags and only one designer I don’t feel I need them. I think $300 for a bag is a lot. My advice is save your money and when you get to my age then you can have two houses if you don’t spend all your money on expensive bags.😮
🌸🌸🌸
Sage advice ❤
Good advice. Though if I were to spend $300 on a bag, it would have to be good quality leather, and I'd take care of it so it'd last for decades. Expensive things are often better quality, not always, so sometimes it's a good investment to spend that bit more up front so you'll save in the long run.
PS your shirt dress is lovely, all forms!
That’s what my husband and I did. Must say though, that I have a ton of clothes (not fast fashion) which I wear on and off depending on the mood I’m in. In the Okanagan Valley where I mostly live, people don’t dress up at all. That’s never bothered me, I wear what makes me happy.
My mother was a fashion consultant for a Quebec Premier (Governor in the US, I think 😊). She passed the fashion bug down the line to me, the youngest. Even when I dress casually, looking polished is important. This means wearing costume jewelry, nice, comfortable but fashionable shoes, and hair that’s not flying all over the place.
Don’t spend much money on clothing. Filled my wardrobe with quality materials long ago that have stood the test of time. They’ve been altered multiple times to conform with trends and body changes, yet still look new.
My advice is to buy quality materials, take care of it, find a good seamstress or tailor. Exposing clothing to sunlight when not in use is not a good idea. Shoes should be kept in their original boxes, cleaned and treated after each wear.
Dust and sunlight are the enemy.
ANNA I NEVER GET SICK OF YOUR CLOTHING VIDEOS!!!!
I've been loving the more grounded direction of Anna's content, but I'll always love her fashion videos!
Some here, so I love her video, I've learned a lot❤
This has been happening to me over the past several years. My style used to be “clearance”. 😳 I had so many ill fitting pieces that I didn’t truly love. I’ve become much more picky and intentional about clothing purchases. A little example is that I used to buy whatever cheap t shirts I could find, because I wear them for work almost every day. Instead of buying graphic tees or Old Navy tees, I now buy plain, darker colored ones from Loft or Banana Republic, etc. that fit very well. Just a little step up but it’s been great.
Just supporting that this advice applies to any budget. 😊
COS has great things too
Red colour brightens you ❤👌🏾
Yes. And blue 👌🏻
This makes me realize I need to clean out my closet again - it’s been 2 1/2 years. Thanks Anna!
I'm glad you mentioned the importance of considering our lifestyle (the real one, not our "fantasy life-style!) when building our wardrobe. I used to live in the city and teach in-person classes at the university daily. Then we moved to the country (I now have chickens, rabbits, several big dog, and horses) and I now teach mostly online. Drastic change, right? Yet, I kept buying my regular "city" clothes and never wearing them because they are completely impractical for my new lifestyle. After a while, I did the exact opposite and I found myself with only casual, practical clothes, and nothing to wear on the occasional night out, concert, or professional activity. My gosh! Life can be complicated! 😁
I love that you said we can create our own way of making minimalism work for you! As long as you wear what's in your wardrobe, that's what matters❤. I no longer need a lot of formal business attire since I'm working from home, so I'm revamping my style to a more casual elevated look that I can wear anytime and look put together. Also results in me buying less clothes but better quality.
I am retired, i had to dress when i worked and i never leave the house without make-up, matching handbag, etc. My mother was very beautiful and classy and she made sure she taught those traits to me. I love handbags, but like i said, being retired we don't go very much, church on Sunday and out to eat. In my mind i am not 66, but retirement says i am. Tips for older women, without looking frumpy would be appreciated❤
Yes, that would be great!!
I don’t have kids or a family but I strive for an elegant yet young look
Thumbs up. Simply for how great you look in red! ❤
Vionic brand shoes esp the ballet flats are the number one most comfy cute shoes I own!
Loving this new Anna! She's getting wiser and wiser by the minute!
The shirt dresses are lovely! And I love sneakers too! My favorites are Superga! Perfectly perfect. Princess Diana wore them, as does Princess Catherine and sis Pippa! ❤😉👟👟
OoOoOo thank you for that! Those are cute 💞
Vintage heels are very comfy. They are built entirely differently to modern shoes. I have a few pairs which I can wear all day long.
Growing up in Texas we always would dress nicely, with makeup. I remember my mom and her friends always dressing nicely. At that time people didn’t wear sloppy clothes with sneakers. So every thing you’re saying, people use to do. Also living in Europe in the 60s and some 70s people didn’t wear sneakers and jeans . I wish we could all adopt what you’re saying and actually do it. I would like for you to check SAS shoes. They are so comfortable. Made out of leather. I wear the style Maria’s and can walk all day sightseeing.
Thank you Anna
Much love from Cameroon Africa
Your content has been helping me throughout my level up journey ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You have changed my life Anna... You represent Venus in true sense ❤
I am at the "retired" age LOL! Though never retired from living my life. In earlier days, I dressed up, it was nice dresses, heels, or nice pants and blouses. At that time, one would enter an office, and the women dressed beautifully, nice hair and makeup. Today, I still wear eye makeup and lipstick on most days, I prefer comfortable beautiful dresses, Earrings and a cute necklace, or chain, always make me feel "finished". For shoes in the winter, I prefer knee boots, or booties, loafers or my black new balance sneakers, or sandals in the summer. Please think about making a video for us in "retirement" age. My life is very different as we go to the movies, restaurants, not too many dressy type places. A fav for me is hiking or renting a horse for a couple of hours! So I am very casual but want to look my best. Thank You for all your great videos!!
Thanks 🙏🏼 I have an active lifestyle in a rural small town. I don’t dress in sweats and leggings instead jeans/overalls with button downs or blouse and flats. Right now I’m stuck on which coats will look well with my style. For now I have one coat, my super warm ski jacket.
They look lovely. Fabric with a little stretch even better
The shirt dresses is gorgeous!
I love block heels at least 3 cm to a max of 10. I try to stay at 5 cm for everyday wear (office). Thank you for this update capsule wardrobe ❤
Hello, Anna, hello everyone, dear ladies. Anna, I enjoy your advices ,but also your stories where you share with us , showing your personality without fakeness ,and you are inspiring to me , personally! 🌈🙂🌷There's some good balance between your fun and serious side, I like it❤
Ladies, we don't have to buy expensive clothes and shoes. No one forces us, one can always choose less expensive versions. I enjoy watching sometimes , without obligation, which is also good, as I am living pretty modest life style. The huge point is to find what is comfortable and flattering to/on us . Let our inner beauty shine ✨ thanks, again, dear, beautiful and authentic Anna 🌹😊
I missed these types of fashion videos from you Anna ❤
Annaaaa changing my life out here with clothes!!! I finally found my style!! My bf gave me some money to go shopping and I’m redoing my ENTIRE wardrobe I’m so excited.
Ooh have fun! I love when my boyfriend gives me some spending money too it’s a very sweet gesture ❤
That’s so loving 🥹 I hope you enjoy yourself !! 🌷🌷
I wish I too had a bf who would help me change my wardrobe😂, I guess I have to ask my mom for the help
that’s so sweet 🤍 wish us all such kind gentleman gestures 🥰
so demeaning to have a man give you money to buy clothes
I love your collection, I wish it was more affordable but I understand that it’s of great quality. I love that rose dress. 🌸
I don’t buy many designer items, but for me the principal criteria for my wardrobe choices are: only natural-fibers and materials; and quality construction. I also stick to my preferred color palette, mostly light, cool colors and light neutrals. I love wearing shirts/shirt dresses, too, with classic pointed collars that frame the face and the flattering, open V-neckline. I prefer wearing dresses and skirt outfits, by far, over wearing trousers; a “draped bottom” is simply 10 times more comfortable. They are also much more feminine, an important aspect of my wardrobe. Like you, I couldn’t be a minimalist, I love having lots of selection in my wardrobe. Thanks for your tips, Anna❤
When it comes to shoes, I have always had good experiences with the Danish brand Ecco. They are comfortable and made of good quality. And some of them look rather chic too (their current selection is pretty large).
They are a good line of shoes.
I don’t carry any bags that hurt my shoulders, so all my nice bags are light and small. If i do have any bigger bags, they are just canvas shopping type bags, not designer bags.
The Michael Kors Manhattan bag is AMAZING! I bought the black and neon one while it was on sale for 120 dollars. It is damn good quality and I've never seen a bag like it. It is the perfect size to hold a bottle of water, a small first aid kit for me and my service dog, and my inhaler. It can hold more than that but I don't need to put anything else in it. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it too. It comes with a shoulder strap but I do not use it, I have fibromyalgia and my shoulders are very tender. The bag is absolutely amazing, I love the rainbow hardware, the different neon colours around the edges, and the shape of the bag. It has flat spikes on the side which is pretty fucking amazing. I'm an emo guy and I've been searching for a bag that I like for years, this is the only one I've ever liked, it's made from real leather and it will last a life time if you care for it properly.
@@mobstercrow7515 I just looked this bag up and it's exactly what i have been looking for. Just ordered the black one.
I pretty much only buy what I need or can't live without. Deciding something is what I can't live without isn't an impulsive thing either. I go home, think about it carefully and if i still love it that much, I'll buy it the next day. Mostly avoiding impulse buys helps me get a wardrobe where i love almost every article in it. I would also gladly pay more for good quality items like a good leather bag than a cheap plastic one. I know that if i take care of it well, it'll last me for decades. I'm on year 12 on a $100 leather bag that i use for work everyday. I'm planning on using it for another 15 at least. Sometimes spending that little more up front is a good investment on quality that makes me save in the long run. I also only wear organic fabrics; cotton, wool, silk, rayon etc. I'm still wearing cotton t-shirts from my teenage years because i was taught to go for fewer good quality things as a kid than the cheap polyester crap. Though there is a downside to my meticulous culturing of my wardrobe. My summer wardrobe is miniscule because i can't find anything i love thats not polyester and at the right price. Thank goddess for hand me down silk dresses from my mother thats decades old.
Always looking for a quality a-line shirt dress. So glad that you designed an amazing line of clothing w/ the most wonderful concept. Brilliant! 🥇
I recommend a smaller chique backpack as well out of leather. Amazing for day time trips if you want to keeps the hands free !
People who wear them often have no consideration for others when they are in compact spaces. Not for those of us who want to look smart.
Agreed. I love having a small, chic leather backpack for shopping or walking around town. I struggle with back pain and even a small crossbody purse can hurt because the weight isn’t distributed equally.
i love the point about comfort, it makes me feel at ease id im bloated etc, to have clothes that are gorgeous and comfortable not freak out or only look good having a thin stomach etc
if*
Oh, I have been looking for so long for your type of shirt dresses, but right now they’re a little bit out of my price range… I like the way you’ve cut them, so I will start saving!
Please do a glow up version for moms!!! I've been waiting and waiting for this and its the first time motherhood has been mentioned from what I recall. I feel like it is a different beast
I love your videos about how to build minimalistic luxury collections!!
Last year I had to move out and in for 3 times following my husband and I did a massive cleaning up of my shoes and clothes. now i only have 8 pairs of shoes but they’re all high quality and my favorite. it feels great to have the bests in my closet.
VIVAIA - best shoes I've ever tried and they look great with my skirts and dresses.
😘
Also for wide feet which I have
Love your videos can never get enough of your elegance. I have learned so much over the years. I am 53 years old and love clothes that are elegant.🍷❤️
About the shoes, I completely agree. I mean I love heels, but because of my life and my feet (I have a born condition) I wear more sneakers than anything, now I have seen that vintage shoes are of my like so Im looking for vintage flats to rock
The Queen always wore "kitten "" heels -elegant and just enough
I’ve been watching Ms. Bey for years now and she also helped me find my style. I’ve been buying the sac de jour prior to her mentioning it a long time ago. This video is very informative and helpful!
Your signature dresses and STUNNING! I’m going to have to get a couple 😅
Vivaia have nice and affordable shoes with style 😊 I loved them
As long as I don’t have to wear jeans I’m happy! They’re so uncomfortable and complicated to buy. I’m over it 😊
Me2!! Jeans are uncomfortable to me
I couldn't agree more.
Yikes, I really do not like jeans.
I’ve always hated wearing them, too! For one thing, I never found a decent fit in more than 50 years of trying. But also, I dislike denim in general, it’s hot, stiff and rough, I just don’t understand why people claim it’s “comfortable”. It’s not!🙂
@@kimberlyperrotis8962 I know right?! I recently ordered lots of styles
And sizes to try at home and got so frustrated. They are THE most difficult thing to buy. So I’ve given up completely now and will never buy them again.
I love shirt- dresses and suggest them to many of clients. For handbags, I would add a big morning bag, a cross-body bag that doubles as a shoulder bag, and an evening clutch bag.
I love Loro Piana dot sole and summer walk loafers, they are even more comfortable then any sneakers I own. I recommend them to anyone who is on their feet all day.
Hello Anna , I'm French , I'm 68 and I live in France and I go for Spanish queen Letizia style, kind greetings from Brittany - France 💐
Thank you so much for what you do. The tips are wonderful, but more than that, I'm empowered to do what works for me. As I start this elegance journey, I had been thinking I'd have to get an entirely new wardrobe...when I already have several things I can start building off of.
Im decently minmal myself. find I love my water proof ankle Chelsea boots for fall and spring , for summer its leather strappy sandals and if I'm up north were the morning is cold in summer I wear canvas Sperry's or leather Birchberry Bramford leather sneakers if I'm dressing it up. those are my everyday shoes. Then there are 2 pair hiking boots for summer and winter and my dress boots for winter. I own 3 pairs of dress shoes for church/ special occasions as for purses I've 6 or 7 . 3-4 top handle hand bags that have cross body straps , one tote bag as a catchall purse , one brief case , and one clutch/ crossbody I cycle through . I am planning on selling two of my Dooney and Burke bags because I don't use them so I can purchase one medium catch all purse I've been eyeing - the Dooney and Burke Alto Camilla
Hi dear Anna, your videos are always motivating.
My favourite shoes for the every day life are Roger Vivier, the kind ,more or less, Catherine Deneuve wore in Belle de Jour...classic ...comfortablle and timeless😊.Thanks for being always so nice and elegant and caring !❤
It IS the perfect dress! Just wish I had the legs to wear one. Your tips are on point and very appreciated.
I just can’t bring myself to wearing sneakers with pretty dresses. A tennis or polo dress absolutely, but never with a nice dress.
Awesome idea to create the collection of dresses!congratulations 🎉They are beautiful and seem very comfortable! Very grateful for your thoughtfulness about the quality and other details. In Switzerland it is not easy to find beautiful dresses, now we have it😊 Much love❤❤❤
Wow I’ve learned a lot from your style and your new collection cotton is awesome ❤
Excellent video Anna. Thank you so much!
I love wearing 2-inch or so, block, heeled leather shoes for everyday. My current favorites are Sezane’s Paula Babies sling-backs. They are comfortable, walkable, but give me that extra bit of height and polish that I crave. Of course, nothing is as comfortable as good sneakers.
I've been learning a lot with your assertive videos, Anna!! Keep up doing this great job
White Superga are my favourite casual shoe. They look nice with dresses
I find espadrilles to be a flattering and comfortable casual every day shoe. I do black in the fall/winter and white in spring/summer. For super cold days obviously I go for boots.
For heels I do espadrilles wedges and they’re very comfortable too.
I love the way you speak
Dear Anna, I like your reccomendations. 😊 My favourite comfortable shoes are driver moccasins. There is better air circulation (which I really need), they are easy to step in and out and once they got soft they are like walking on cloud (some are soft already when you buy them, some need little bit extra care to soften them, but it really pays off ❤). I am even thinking about replacing my white sneakers for white moccasins. I do like look of my sneakers, but even ones with perforation still don't offer enough air circulation, which might be crucial in warmer weather/environment. I am looking forward another video, we will see there! Love, Veronika.
Adidas Stan Smith’s !! Comfortable, Stylish & affordable 🙌 love mine
I used to love the white on white style - especially because they fit my slightly wide foot. Supergas and others are too narrow. But they changed the Stan Smith from leather to some vegan material and they’re far less comfortable and don’t look as nice. Have you noticed a difference?
Thank you for sharing. BTW Love your collection. I hope too see more colors and clothes. The LONG PLEATED DRESS needs light/pastle shades
This video comes just in time for spring cleaning! Just starting with my wardrobe. It was so helpful Ana, thank you! ❤ Can you please do a video with advice on colouring for curvy girls with bellies?
Hi Anna:) i wonder if you did color analysis? I remember you saying red is not your colour, but have seen you started wearing more and more of it lately. Happy to see it because i always thought red would be so flattering on you - and indeed is :)😊
Love your clothing collection! ❤❤
I like the Chanel espadrilles
I agree with you that dresses are more comfortable than pants. Dresses allow your body to breathe whereas jeans and certain pants prevent ventilation. You have chic and excellent taste. I am short 153cm and thin 41kg so I have my dresses tailored and the fit is better.
Like you, i too am reeeeeally really a big fan of shirts (button down clothes) rather than a plan Tshirt 😁. So,, to be honest.. every time i watch you wearing shirts, that's always catch my eyes Very sharply!! 😃😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍
Anna, thank you so much for the education you provide and for creating a quality dress collection. Would love to see the dress available in navy blue and also an army/khaki green.
Hi Anna ! You recently shared that you'll have big news for Monday. Like everytime you tell us you have some great news we could see the comment section full of pregnancy predictions which is crazy in my opinion. That reminded me of the current situation with Princess Catherine where too many people felt it was normal to make speculations on her despite the fact that she explains she was resting from a surgery. But stil it was not enough. People needed to know more... they needed to know what's going on in her private life..
I wonder if you could make a video about topic and speculations that should not be raised towards women. Or maybe a specific video on that topic "pregnancy speculations" since it is something I see SOOOOOO often and find very disturbing. I see it from women towards women they know or think they know but also towards women they barely know or don't know at all. In all scenarios I think it's extremely rude for obvious reasons. First not every married women want kids, even women who want kids would not share their big news until it's safe and would not appreciate speculations that could force them to share the news too soon, not every women want sto share their big news or the fact that they never want to be pregnant or the fact that they can't be pregnant or the fact that they were pregnant but got a miscarriage. All scenarios point to the fact that it's just so impolite.
It's commun sense to me and to many that what happens to our uterus should be private until we choose to share the news and until then no speculations should be done. You can't prevent people from thinking obviously but having a thought does not mean you should speak on it....
She’s said in previous videos that it’s all about not wanting to make people feel uncomfortable. Definitely relates to this topic 😬
I am also a big fan of shirt dresses because they are really simple & elengent, stylist. ❤
I love loafers 🤩
Hey Anna you always look so good, but i want to tell that you look so pretty here😘. Your hair and and this dress looks so good on you❤..
"Comfortable shoe" is for the weak 😝🤣 today we did a full day at Skansen, in high heel boots, same have taken me through snowstorms here (well you know Sweden...), and a sneaker will never look as good with a dress 🤷🏻♀️
YEEESSSS I love your styling videos :)
Clarks = my go-to shoe brand for absolutely everything
You would look great if you cut your hair to shoulder length, trending now. Even a chin length bob. But start slightly longer and work your way up to shorter. That is how I found the perfect length for my thin, fine hair. The long, cocker spaniel ears style is so yesterday.
Never! Her hair is gorgeous ! Long hair is always best 🌹
wonderful Anna, i tend to look for dressy but cushioned flats - more pointed in the toe - or also white sneakers - as i am on my feet for hrs a day in a retail setting
Anna, can I get the left overs from your closet or what you’re throwing out? 😊
I love the red on you Anna🥰
for me, comfort is utmost importance so i go for lacoste/new balance dad shoes for active days. otherwise penny loafers, western boots, and kitten heels
You always bring good insight. Thank you!❤️
Penny loafers with a soft kid leather interior lining and a good arch support are my fav go-to shoe (Marc Joseph or Driver). They look good with dresses or slacks. Plus this is a classic upgrade from wearing sneakers with dresses, right?
Now that I’m a mom, I find that I need a new wardrobe. I’m only wearing a few things because I still haven’t parted with my single girl clothes that just don’t work for my everyday life anymore.
Thanks Ann bey
Like with everything, somewhere in the middle is usually good. Not minimal, not maximal but practical. I love wearing different items and styling things - I also care for quality, but I prefer to buy what I KNOW I'll reach out for and what I KNOW I'd be excited to wear each time. I've been building a relatively small, exciting and practical wardrobe for myself. Some are high quality boutique pieces, some are designer pieces but I go for quality, style and practicality most of all. I don't mind splurging a little on designer or luxury if I know I will use TF out of them and love it.
I agree. Stylish, comfortable and beautiful shoes for women have not yet been created. Although I also wear white sneakers almost every day. Of course: my shoes are always clean and neat. ⚪❕
Love the dresses!!
Sperry boat shoes. I have a white canvas pair with brown trim that are my back up for if my heels start to bother me. Boat shoes are casual, but they give that preppy summer vibe.
I'd like to try the premier low top sneaker by Thursday Boots.
Ever since going down a rabbit hole about microplastics and how they even leach from synthetic clothing. I've taken away all items containing polyester and elastics and such and now will only buy 100% natural biodegradable clothing items (most items in my life, really). The ourge feels great and now I'm more conscious when buying new and when you eliminate synthetics that's already a huge upgrade because natural fibers look and feel and last better anyways.
I wear my sneakers, loafers, and boat shoes all the time! I find ballet flats don't suit my style very well, and have yet to find other styles of flats that I really love!
I love button shirts also because a V necklace looks best on me. I am lucky to have learned early enough (in my early thirties) to use sunscreen on my neck and chest/decollete. Now I am a mature woman and enjoy wearing V necks because I have taken good care of my skin.
Love you❤
Anna, have you had your color analysis done? Im a true autumn.
Be the Happy Medium!!
Surprisingly my most comfortable shoes are Vejas V12 since you recommended this brand before.
I brought Ons to wear in Paris but ended up hurting my feet after walking one day.
I believe my feet have molded well in the Veja shoes, I need more pairs!!
I am in search of comfortable flats now! Looking for any recommendations.
Beautiful dresses; it would be very helpful to provide a more comprehensive, international sizing guide than the one currently available on your site. Thank you.
What would you do if there was a foot injury and heels aren't an option any longer particularly with dresses . Not all women are tall amd thin and can pull off sneakers with a dress ..
Karen here ballet flats or tiny kitten heels
