These guided meditations are really helpful for feeling connected to others and the present. But as much as I like this style of 'thinking out loud meditation', nothing can top the silence that is always with us now. I feel happy and sad at the same time because I want to attend one of these gatherings, but I am also grateful to be able to see one at least to compare my own experience with the experiences of others. Then I realize that we are always in the right place at the right time if we abide by our true selves, the one and only reality we can experience, which we are essentially. Thanks, Rupert. Let us always remind each other to stay connected with everyone by staying connected to ourselves, by simply being empty vessels filled with love and peace, divested of all forms of separation. May everyone realize that love and peace are always within them, closer than their imagined selves.
Many of Rupert ideas reflect core principles of Sufi metaphysics that have been articulated for centuries by Sufi masters like Al-Halaj, Suhrawardi, Ibn Arabi, Rumi and many more. These teachings emphasize the unity of existence, where all forms and phenomena are seen as manifestations of the Divine. Ibn Arabi’s concept of Wahdat al-Wujud (Unity of Being) and Rumi’s poetry about the interconnectedness of all things both illustrate the idea that the Divine permeates every aspect of the universe. This perspective sees the ego as an illusion of separation, which must be transcended to realize the underlying unity. Spira’s discussions on non-duality and the nature of consciousness echo these timeless Sufi insights, showing a deep resonance with the metaphysical explorations of the Sufi tradition. However, the core difference lies in the interpretation of the world’s reality: Ajata Vada views it as an illusion, whereas Islamic mysticism/Sufism sees it as a real manifestation of the Divine.
...and the Sufis got it from somewhere else. These ideas are incredibly old and only vary in small details when expressed by the many branches of thought they spawned.
You are correct that many spiritual ideas are ancient and expressed in various traditions. However, Sufi teachings, are uniquely rooted in the divine revelations received by Prophet Muhammad, the greatest and the seal of the prophets (peace be upon him), and his twelve successors (the Imams), who are the greatest manifestations of the truth in all realms. These teachings confirm and aligns with the wisdom of earlier prophets like Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them), making them profound insights directly inspired by divine knowledge. While these concepts may appear similar across traditions, Sufi teachings are deeply connected to the prophetic tradition, providing a cohesive and unique understanding of spiritual truths.
The Rishis intuited this Truth thousands of years before the Sufis came along. But Islamists have to believe they have the "final prophet" and are the "final word" on Truth. That is a sign of clinging to an ego with limited understanding. True wisdom is the Universal One, revealing itself to any and all who are truly open.
The assertion that Rishis intuited this Truth thousands of years before the Sufis, and that belief in the “final prophet” is a sign of ego, demonstrates a misunderstanding of the nature of Islamic teachings and Sufism. While it is true that various traditions have their own profound insights, it is essential to recognize the distinct perspectives and foundations they are built upon. Islamic mysticism, or Sufism, is deeply rooted in the teachings of the holy Quran and the life of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The belief that he is the “final prophet” is not an expression of ego but a core tenet of Islamic faith, signifying the completeness and finality of the divine revelation given to humanity. The holy Quran states in Surah Al-Ahzab (33:40): • Arabic: مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًۭا • English: “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the seal of the prophets. And Allah has full knowledge of all things.” This concept is not about limiting the understanding of Truth but about recognizing the culmination of divine guidance through a line of prophets, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, peace be upon them all. Sufis recite and reflect on these teachings, understanding that their mystical experiences and insights are deeply intertwined with the revelations of the holy Quran. Islamic mysticism emphasizes that the divine reality is present in all things, and the apparent forms we perceive are manifestations of the divine attributes. The verse from the holy Quran (2:115) underlines this omnipresence, indicating that wherever one turns, there is the Face of Allah. True wisdom, as understood in Islamic mysticism, acknowledges the unity of existence and the divine origin of all knowledge. It does not negate the value of other traditions but places the finality of the prophetic mission within a context that enriches and completes the understanding of divine revelation. Therefore, the assertion that recognizing Prophet Muhammad as the final prophet is a sign of ego is fundamentally flawed. It overlooks the profound spiritual and theological framework of Islam, which emphasizes humility, submission to the divine will, and the recognition of the interconnectedness of all prophetic teachings.

Its like theyre there when i dont want to see them by the time i do it because its too late..as explained here im seperate from yhem when they are in the past haha.. amazing..
Thanks Mr. Spira.. I had one realisation which I wanted to share about being grateful.. Most of us have been grateful about what we have that other unfortunate person doesn't for eg. financial security, warm place to stay, health.. This is what have been taught by society but it is so wrong to be grateful in this way cuz it would justify someone's situation of not being able to afford basic amentities that we are grateful about.. We want someome to be unfortunate so that we can be grateful about how fortunate are we to have these basic amenities.. This makes me sad as these are the things taught by my own parents, this is not being grateful but to look dowm upon others in not so harsh way.. Gratefulness is quality of being, accepting every moment as it is, not wanting to change, run or suppress it is quality of being grateful..

@ 15:53 Right, I get that--yet if I am not the body why can I not stand apart from it over by the far wall and see it from there, except of course in an away from the body projection...
If we can see our bodies and our thoughts and understand that they are not us, that we are the ones inside observing the experiences, then why wouldn’t God be able to separate that as well? Why wouldn’t God have awareness of us and be able to see us and the plants and all the other physical things in the universe as we see our thoughts and bodies? I love your content!!! Ty for all that you share!
God loves every thought in his dream, in which he gives free rein to his divine imagination, in which he makes every cloud, sunset, existence, appear once, and in infinite variety of aspects endlessly reappears in his eternal dream, and experiences himself in loving unity. Just a thought

Rupert 🙏 Rupert If you mean the infinite , knows nothing of the finite ! That is why the infinite has invented dreaming , in order to experience itself in infinite diversity of aspects , in its own dream ! Yes and since there is only the One that is everything , it is of course so that every aspect thought ( Rupert the Master ) is thought within the One ! And who could think without the one knowing? Just a thought
The presence of consciousness, signified by the phrase "I AM," is the living God within every being, the essence of our shared divine nature. Thought gives rise to experience, while consciousness illuminates it, revealing the world and reality. When we close our eyes, reality dissolves, but upon opening them, all is illuminated through our gaze. God is witnessing itself unfold within itself, for there is no separation, only the unity of the "I" and the divine family of being. Thought is the veil that obscures the ever-present pure awareness, but transcending duality is possible by ceasing to believe in the unstable mind and embracing our natural self, the witness awareness. Liberation lies in recognizing and being aware of being aware, not through studying, but by surrendering the mind to grace, resulting in an unlearning, & returning attention to our true nature. The mind creates various paths and techniques to find itself, but it cannot discover the real eye, for it identifies itself as a person, obscuring the truth. By realizing this, we can transcend the limitations of the mind and behold the divine within and around us.
The voice that we hear does not describe the world in which we live, it IS the world in which we live, it may seem like the window is closing, yet is it more like the light no longer shines on a picture portrayed. Break off a branch and another may grow, cut out the root and the tree will wither, what is the root but the voice that I hear and the world it portrays, what is the real but that which remains, what remains ……
Ajātavāda denies the existence of both the world and its appearance, asserting that all distinctions-including the illusion of distinctions-are ultimately unreal. However, this radical dissolution creates a paradox: the very act of denying creation or appearance presupposes a platform-an awareness or consciousness-on which these concepts are recognized and negated. This implicit acknowledgment of consciousness as a witnessing presence destabilizes the claim of total negation. If there is nothing, not even an appearance, what remains to recognize this nothingness??? Ajātavāda’s denial of even the appearance of creation collapses the bridge between the Absolute and the experiential. This raises critical questions: 1. What is the function of realization? If there is no creation or appearance, then what role does realization play? What is there to be realized, and by whom? 2. What is the relationship between the Absolute and knowledge? If all is negated, the very possibility of knowledge-whether intellectual or direct-becomes untenable. The Islamic perspective resolves this by affirming that God’s essence is unknowable in its entirety, yet His attributes and actions manifest in creation as signs (ayat), enabling recognition and witnessing. The analogy, “You can’t have your cake and eat it,” reflects Ajātavāda’s insistence on choosing between Absolute Reality and the apparent world. This dichotomy assumes that the presence of appearance diminishes the Absolute. However, the Islamic understanding transcends this binary. Creation is neither an independent reality nor a complete illusion but a dependent manifestation (tajalli). It exists only through God’s will and points back to Him as its Source. You mention Meister Eckhart, whose insights resonate more closely with the Islamic understanding than with Ajātavāda. Eckhart’s concept of the ground of being emphasizes the inseparability of creation and Creator-not as a merging but as a relational oneness. Similarly, the Islamic paradigm recognizes that creation is the veil and simultaneously the revelation of God. It is through these veils that one ascends to knowledge of the Absolute. You can’t deny the cake and the act of eating it-because the very act of denying proves their appearance. In another word, Who is it that denies the cake and the eating of it? Isn’t the act of denial itself part of the very thing being denied?

Rupert’s comments about seeing relate directly to The Headless Way …Douglas Herding .. practical experiments that bring these teaching home as experience
No words. ♥️
Thank you Rupert
I contain multitudes--which is great because love can only exist in relation to an other.
Rupert nice explanation dude Daniel Kahneman talks about the Experiencing Self AND the Remembering Self
Thank you so much!
Woww we cannot know something and be that thing at the same time❤🎉
"knowing" not equals "being"
you can't know something and be it simultaneously.
Sí, jo soc Això tal com soc ara aquí. No puc conèixer Això del tot perquè ho soc però sí ser disfrutar la seva base i fons amor pau felicitat

Oh!!!
A Brilliant Man.
39:45 love is not an experience a person has, it is the end of the person we seem to be… ❤❤❤
❤ yes ❤ so radically True. Thank you, so much, for sharing. Somehow I had to cry.

“On the arising of ego and the perception of forms & objects know that it is unreal”
No words ❤
God loves every thought in his dream, in which he gives free rein to his divine imagination, in which he makes every cloud, sunset, existence, appear once, and in infinite variety of aspects endlessly reappears in his eternal dream, and experiences himself in loving unity.
Just a thought
This is why the sages say " you spit the pearl out of your mouth everytime a mere utterance occurs." At that point you are doing out of speaking rather than being out of the silence.
You only know something in terms of it being other than yourself. Makes sense
Who is there eating cake? Who is there saving the cake? You are the cake 😊 You are That The cake is That. That is all there is. Apperantly ❤
Duels i,e, duals are normally fought at dawn. Why?? Light bends or reflects more intuitively.
What about Schrodinger's cake? :)
Your both knowing and being something.
In a curious box, a treat does reside,
Both whole and eaten, in paradox it hides.
Unseen by eyes, it’s fresh and grand,
But once revealed, it slips from your hand.
To have it and taste it, a choice you must make,
For once it's devoured, it's no longer at stake.
This puzzle perplexes, a quantum-like take,
The enigma known as Schrödinger's cake.
This rich experience of a spoken philosophical meditation seems to align with many aspects of radical non dualism as shared by some others…….

If you mean the infinite , knows nothing of the finite !
Blessed are the audience!

Amazing Rupert once again. Greetings from Greece to everyone! (Or to whatever appears as everyone 😅)

Is he channeling, or are these his own intellectual thoughts. Insightful either way just wanted clarity.
30:16 So the term "infinite consciousness" is ultimately misleading. ❤

What if you have two pieces of cake?
as David Carse says....there is nobody home>
This raises critical questions:
All I want is to abide in this in myself and in the presence of other humans. Does anyone know of a place where people abide like this together?
