Guided Meditation: We Are the Eyes and Ears of God

- In this guided meditation on God, Rupert explores the concepts of desire, prayer and meditation and how they relate to finding peace and joy.
Desire, expectation or hope implies the absence of that which is expected. It may at some point in the future appear or happen, but even if it did, it would by definition disappear at some point. Therefore it could not possibly lead to lasting peace or happiness. But when our expectation is divested of its object, it is revealed as peace.
Consider the possibility that reality is a single, infinite and indivisible whole, whose nature is consciousness which localises itself within itself in the form of each of us through whom it perceives its own activity as the world. Feel that we are literally the eyes and ears of God through which God perceives itself in form.
There are no objects, there are no selves - just one infinite, indivisible, but utterly intimate whole. In other words, the subject-object relationship is not inherent in reality, it is simply the mechanism by which the unmanifest appears as the manifest without ever ceasing to be itself.
And in this process, pure knowing appears as thoughts, pure love appears as friendship and pure beauty appears as objects.

Nisargadatta Maharaj used to say that crying while meditating meant nothing and that we only told ourselves crying meant something but in reality it has nothing to do with the real and it isn't something to be proud or happy about. Although I understand you just made a comment, I just thought I'd share this since Rupert has followed his teachings as well.

@@TheParakeet1999 Crying or feeling like crying is nothing to do with the real as Nisargadatta said. However, crying is the release of deeper locked energies within the mind/body of the individual, so it's actually a sign of inner healing or clearing away of inner tension, so is something to be happy about.
Why compare crying to something "someone" once said? Can't we just cry?
this meditation made me attain enlightenment
God is the Light and The Truth, all beautiful names belongs to God, He is the Most Great and Most Good, and He is Absolute Love and Absolute Consciousness.
God created the Soul and the demons and the spirits and the celestials, then He let whoever He Wills see them, then He tells whoever He Wills that they exists.
And surely, God vanishes falsehood, like materialism, and He is The Truth Who gives Truth.
And the birds praise Him daily and constantly, and the trees prostrate, for those who know. And God gives the glorious vision of Himself to whoever He Wills. And God is the One who makes prayers reality.
Praise be to God, the Most High and Divine, there is no god but Him!

Free agency takes the one unified flow of action (Shakti aka Tao) and kinks it to make it look like there's a separate actor inside the one course and then the ego crops up and goes, "Here I am! I am in charge of my destiny! I AM SEPARATE FROM YOU!"

Why would the activity of knowing allow for activities that push love into the background and allow the activities of not-love persist. We have Ukraine and other wars happening.

Well obviously I’m not Rupert, but human beings started this war, as all wars have been started. You already answered your own question. Why is the idea of ego being the culprit unsatisfactory?
@@stevej.7926 If we are the eyes and ears of source/God. Then these activities are in the Being of Being, they occur in Being and Being will know they occur. Love is our true Nature, then why is murder and other atrocities allowed? I know that activities don't effect the screen that they occur on, yet these atrocities occur between Beings of Love. Is source OK that these activities occur?
@@zoomby4380 source accepts it as a malfunction in lack of awareness. Source is not a dictator or a “ruler” of any kind. Humans are free within the bounds of our limitations to either embrace love or turn our backs to it, and there is a wide spectrum of how people relate, or don’t relate to Love.

Many wonder about the problem of evil but not so much about the problem of good 😅 one could not exist without the other. You don’t find it unacceptable to fall in love or see your baby smile into your eyes. But war and suffering are not ok. Of course i also prefer the former but it doesn’t make sense to exclude. Nothing can be what it is without its lack also being a possibility. For love to be love there must also exist the chance of absence of love. But on the absolute level the war still exists in the all-pervading place of unconditional love.
God does not need "eyes and ears".
by this logic couldn't you loose your sense of ego this much or see through its illusion that you literally are just this being 'god'?
+ wouldn't it be purely by gods force itself that you have the right thoughts and actions to see through his self enforced illusion?

I would say correct. But remove “you” and add creation, as in Gods creation. There is only Gods creation and part of that are thoughts that have an inner dimension to them where the ego lives. (Disclaimer; I’m not certain this is how it is, but this is were I am in life)

Well yes because only God/Awareness acts or does anything. There is no one else here. Same if an apparent body/mind complex is "asleep" or "awake"... there is always only awareness.
Still, the play goes on and the roles continue within it.

This is very confusing. In this mediation Rupert says " Everything that is known is real, but it's reality cannot be known as an object or a fragment. It cannot be an object of knowing." However, in earlier mediations he say that " There is the knowing element of mind. Mind is knowing, or is aware of the OBJECTS flowing within it.
So, there are two elements to mind, thoughts and the knowing of the thoughts.....Knowing is all that is ever known. And this knowing, knows itself... that is awareness, or infinite consciousness".
Anyone care to comment on the 'seemingly' two aspects of knowing? Either there is only ONE knowing/awareness that knows objects, or is there another type of knowing/awareness that is objectless? I'm getting more lost every day. 🙏
