I’ve been doing these exercises for many years (hip/knee replacements). They are so important and effective! I watched this video just to check my technique - a “tune up”! Your explanation and demonstration is the best I’ve ever seen!
Your explanation about the different ways to do the plank were exactly what I needed to understand why my strength class instructor did it both ways. Thank you.
I really need these right now, as I am recovering from a broken hip, and my walking/balancing muscles need a lit of help. At this time, i am doing standing (at the walker) leg raises. I want to get the most out of my exercises, so tell me if these will help. So good to see you show how to do these right.
Great videos Will .. you are truly gifted .. your explanations are superb .. if I was in the UK I would definitely seek out your personal services .. all the best from down under mate 👍👍👍
❤4:44 Hip abduction --move leg up, backward- diagonally. Not to lift too high , otherwise backache. 6:00 Bridge..the feet shd be near hips. Only heels shd lbe inntouch with ground .Lift the hips.Contract the hips.
Your bit about doing the clam correctly is spot on. I wondered why I was sometimes getting a pulling pain in my back and sometimes felt the correct muscles working
Thank you Will, really appreciate your work and the great explanations i had a hip Replacement at age 58 and wish i would have done these exercises before surgery
Hi - I’ve just had a hip replacement. Are these exercises good for rehabilitation? I’m 5 weeks post op and would value your advice on this and more exercise recommendations. Many thanks Carolina
Love your video info. I was wondering if you have an exercise to reduce size of gluteus Maximus muscle. I’ve been walking with a walker and now dilator for years and have developed bulk I don’t want. Thank you for your help
Hi Will catching up with your videos, very helpful for me. This one in particular is golden! Also the 3 tip friday emails; I'm keeping them in a file SO useful, especially the latest tip about building bone strength with heavier weights. PS I found using resistance bands really helpful for the clam and the bridge, also my physio told me it was ok to bend the inactive leg a bit to ensure the raised one was fractionally behind. I love the anecdote of top notch athletes (I am not one of them of course which is fine); focus focus focus!
Thanks for your good advice. Can you clarify ome thing re the clam, I've, always kept my feet together when raising the top leg whereas yours separate on lifting. Which do you recommend? Thanks.
Hi Will. I’ve been doing the hip abductor exercise but only managing to lift my foot six inches at the most. Is it still effective for this small travel please? Great video and valuable corrections!

Bridge, interesting core vs hips.
Anytime I do the bridge it cramps my hamstrings. Do I need to stretch my hamstrings before?
Ah keep those hips healthy, this cannot be overstated! (My kids said I'm a hippy, nay, hubby would confirm my loves not free!) 😊
Great video again!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
