In light of the release of Cattle Decapitation's new album, I finally made one of the most requested riff journeys since the inception of my channel. Playing riffs from their first album "Human Jerky" to their new album "Terrasite".

So what are your favorite Cattle Decap songs?
Pretty much anything off of Anthropocene. Aside from that, I really like A Living Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat, Finish Them, In Axestasy, and much more. Hard to go wrong with Cattle Decap, even if the earlier stuff isn’t up your alley!

@@pergproductions Oh absolutely. There’s something about the atmosphere of that album that is super unnerving alongside the unrelenting heaviness.
Plagueborne might be my top track still, just felt so cool and apocalyptic when i first heard it

People really seem to forget they were putting out great and complex music before Monolith of Humanity. Great showcase of those moments!
Oh for sure, but I think they really reached that next level when Dave joined the band. My favorite album of theirs is “The Harvest Floor”.
Yes, however, early on they were still a fairly basic goregrind/death grind band, even with the complexities.

@jojoplaysmusic yeah, I think thr band really hit their stride on that album, they had moments of brilliance before that (Chunk Blower, Alone at the Landfill, Humanuer, etc), but Harvest Floor is where everything just clicked. Regret and the Grave remains my favorite song by them.
Im just happy cattle as a whole is getting the repect they deserve.
Josh is such a sick guitarist.

Well Josh does use a Digitech whammy to pitchshift to 1 or 2 octaves down, but it’s not that often.

MORE people need to sub to you man. You put all this effort to learn and play all these crazy hard riffs (cause let's be fair this band ain't no walk in the park no matter what album) just to showcase the greatness of the band, the effort behind it alone is really impressive! Even if it's a band with easy songs the effort of doing something like this still impresses me.

What got me the most was that you managed to get riffs right from Human Jerky and Homovore. Which are freaking hard to even decipher.
Yeah I had to pick the easiest ones so I could actually figure them out.
At a concert of their's about 2 years ago I saw a guy in mosh, in the span of about 5 minutes, concuss someone and completely halt the mosh whilst holding a fucking walking stick up in the air trying to find it's owner before handing it to Travis

How you play "Bring Back the Plague" is how I think it should be played, but I'm not good enough to figure it out myself. All the tabs for it on Ultimate Guitar look wrong. I expected it to have at least one guitar playing a single-note melody, but people keep tabbing it out as if both guitars are playing chords. So I finally got Ultimate Guitar to write an official tab, and they also tabbed it out as if both guitars are playing chords, and they made it look wack af. The intro riff obviously sounds to me like one guitar playing chords and one playing a melody. If I was just a tad better at sounding stuff out, I would tab it myself because everyone keeps getting it wrong. You're playing it though like how I think it should be played.
