Can you do a clip of the plastics segment? I would like to present it to the Board of our recycling non-profit. We agree, only an end to single use plastics is acceptable. Everything else should be sorted and reused or recycled. If people are upset about an inconvenience, they should consider how inconvenient getting cancer is, or dementia, both proven results of nanoplastic consumption.
Pam here…I am a retired nurse that cared for patients like Noland on ventilators and in power W/C’s …Optimus and Neurolink is a massive HOPE for them!!
Nolan said he'd please to drive cybertruck. You just can never guess when patients can renew a driver license with NL tech. Besides NL peripheral is way safer because it can simply detect the booze in your brain right after you think of driving home unsafe.
A key supercharger opend yesterday: Hernani in The Basque County, Spain. Up to now the atlantic drive from France to Spain passed through a large gap in the network. The Pyrenees mountains are beautiful but they're rather steep also snowy and cold in the winter. The drive through was always at the limits. The new supercharger plugs the gap on a major international route in Europe. ✳ 🇪🇦 🇨🇵 🇪🇺
It is all well and good to put another Supercharger in the Bay Area in California or somewhere similar, it will be used. But I love these chargers plugging gaps. It is so important to be able to go anywhere you want to go with low effort to feel free. (Not comparing myself directly, but the Neuralink story is an extreme example.) It doesn't even matter if the people locally have huge amounts of Teslas. There are more gaps to plug, of course! (Like northern Poland or northern Nebraska random examples.) It just hits differently than another useful urban area capacity increase.
@@geirmyrvagnes8718 We've driven through 10 times in our model 3 on our way from England to the Costa del Sol, but it' was a 90% to 20% journy. It wasn't impossible, but it was a bit stressful. With this new supercharger along the way - if the arrival projection drops mid journey - there's now a backpack along the route.
I rented a Tesla Model 3 last summer from Hertz and used it to camp with. We had a walk in only site in a park where our cell connection was like 1 bar or none. The Tesla must have had a different connection than what we had, but it was gettingg internet and still had premium connectivity. I used it to watch the new Apple iPhone unveil, Lol!
Our son is a quad since senior year HS in 2003. I hope he looks hard at the neuralink info! Thank you so much for this video and the info you provide!!!!
In the 1960s, the Coca-Cola bottling company recycled their glass bottles wash them and refilled them with Coca-Cola. That’s a great idea more jobs glass is perfectly clean let’s do that stop plastic altogether as beverage containers.
Premium Connectivity is a great perk, but you misspoke. I don't pay for Premium, but still have Sentry Mode (though I cannot remotely view the car in real time). Also, most of the other functionality is there if you tether to your mobile phone.
I avoid plastic water bottles for as much as I can, using an undersink reverse osmosis device instead. I just eliminated one of my most common disposable plastic containers when I reverted to buying frozen juice and mixing my own water into a glass refrigerator bottle. Long ago before retirement I was having hearing difficulties that were resolved by an increase in vitamin C consumption recommended to me by my boss. Since vitamins in general are best consumed from food, I had been buying the large plastic bottles of juice at the supermarket. Our U.S. supermarkets do not make it easy to avoid plastics and shelf space there is a battleground dominated by brand promoters. I had a hard time finding the concentrated frozen juice until I went to the area that caters to new moms. Even then I had to look really low to find some 100% juice with vitamin C. As I searched, a store employee was struggling with a cart heavily loaded with plastic water bottles to shelve. One whole aisle was nothing but bottled water, while outside the front door was a seldom used reverse osmosis water refill vending machine, sad to see selling convenience triumphs over true re-useability.
When I found out about the New York Times story, I did the same thing. I looked up Broder and found that he was now an editor. At that point I canceled my Nee York Times subscription that I had had for years. I never looked back.
Plastic usage reduction techniques: FIRST off, I LOVE my Henson shaver! I use no plastic water bottles or straws. I don't use plastic bags at the grocery store (or paper for that matter, Canvas). I use a bamboo toothbrush, and my toothpaste comes in a glass jar, and not in a squeeze tube. I buy clothing and dishwasher detergent in powder form in boxes. I grew up leading REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE. I could not agree more, that there is an order of operations there. I would love to get a 3D printer next for making replacement car parts out of recycled plastic. A friend does this already on the rally car I helped him build. Thanks for everything you guys do. Your content channels are a big part of keeping me informed, excited, and fighting the FUD with data and examples.
Plastics would be easily and economically recycled using thermal depolymerization which brakes long carbon molecules into short carbon molecules. Basically it converts plastic solids back into the liquid hydrocarbons that it started as. From there I can be used as a refined feedstock to make new plastics or simply used as a clean burning sulfur free #2 heating oil.
The problem with getting a wrap from Tesla is in California you then would pay higher annual registration cost every year forever since that is based on sales price with all options.
Two small things we have done to reduce our consumption of plastic. We’ve started using wash sheets instead of traditional soaps in a jug for the washing machine. We found them on Amazon and they work well and the only waste is a small cardboard box. There’s no one convenience in most cases it’s actually less expensive. The second thing that we’ve done is when we go out to eat we look for places that use cardboard boxes versus plastic. If we go to a place that serves plastic we asked them to consider changing.
Guys, take FSD on route 24. Those lane merges are a nightmare. Fsd hesitates, until it matches speed and position with the incoming car fully blocking their ability to merge. V11 did the same thing.
I believe that the current run rate for the cybertruck is possibly 368 per week. About a month earlier than Joe T. projected with his timeline. Mondays flight showed the steam vents over the battery area were full force IMO. Making more than enough for 1K trucks a week is fantastic. Right now I think they have to work on ramping up suppliers to meet the lines capabilities. Still not seeing any increase in the area where they put trucks waiting for a part [not to be confused with the new end of line facility]. They have not yet fully moved to the new end of line. They still have 4 more lines to get rolling and we do not know if all the existing ones are rolling or at what capacity? I thought they were running all of them sometime last qtr but I was wrong. Maybe we will hear more at the next meeting?
When our plastic bins crack or a wheel breaks, instead of throwing them out and ordering a new one I repair the bin, saving some plastic. Also we never throw out plastic shopping bags, we store them ready for use a bin liners so we don't need to buy plastic bags. I always avoid buying bottled drinks, just carry my water bottle around. Need to remember to bring a re-usable coffee cup to work.
I don't buy plastic bottles if I can avoid it, preferring aluminium cans, glass bottles, or refillable (non-plastic) containers. Of course I recycle all of those, that's super easy here in Finland with the pant system. I also try to buy food not packaged in plastic, preferring no packaging at all (for fruits) or paper. How about a wrap that starts in the front with spaceX tessellated tiles that transform to “re-entry soot streaks”. The streaks fade out to clear (Stainless Steel) by the time it gets near the back. Strategically placed along the length, after the tiles, are energy weapon scars and 3D features that look like com ports, camera pods, antenna, etc. This would already look dirty so fingerprints, dirt and scratches would just enhance the look.
45:28 I refill my single use plastic bottles for drinking water, not to store, of course, but to drink over the next few hours. By doing this I use only two 16 oz bottles every few weeks.
Might want to switch to glass container. Google nanoplastics. Latest research shows they provide scaffolding for plaque in arteries. Saw it on last All In YT podcast.
Amazing nuralink progress, now if Tesla could get more service centers open in big cities, I’d be a happy camper … Waiting over two weeks for an appointment to get my bricked 2019 M3 AWD LR fixed. Took a month to get an appointment for other issues prior to it bricking overnight last week.
I skipped the first several minutes due to adds, and the rest of the show as well because it is so dominated by all of the political noise X’s. I can read those on my own if I want. I skipped through the whole show until the embers end when you review the new superchargers. I have been watching since the very beginning. It’s been good. Appreciate your efforts. Again: all of those X’s of Elons are exhausting and I don’t care to listen to them, at all, ever. There are so so so many of them, it’s a wonder Elon has time to anything else. Acquiring Twitter wasn’t a distraction or waste of time, but Elon Xing all of the time sure is.
My wife switched us from laundry detergent and fabric softeners in plastic bottles to detergent sheets and dryer sheets that come in paper/cardboard packaging
Plastic reduction: Instead of buying iced tea in single use plastic bottles, get a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Machine and make your own iced tea by the pitcher. It's very easy, it makes much better iced tea and saves a lot of money, too.
When shopping, request no bag. If you really need one and didn't bring your own, ask them to shove it into as few as possible. Always keep extra bags in your car so you grab them before going into the store
@21:31 The thing to look at is the delta in profitability between *CyberTrucks* vs *Model Ys.* That should tell you why *Tesla* are producing so many *CyberTrucks.*

we went from bottles of 3 litre Pepsi Max to cans here in the UK. Also stopped buying water bottles (also in plastic) to use filter water from the fridge. Although the UK recycles plastic, we decided not to use it.
My Cybertruck will be perpetually covered in mud and dirt. Between surfing, my work cleaning the coastline and my regular job as a contractor, it will never be clean, and that's fine, I'm too busy to spend my time cleaning my truck. I guess I'm gonna have to cough up for FSD.
13:50 Can you guys add this segment to Now You Know Clips? No understands me when I say the NYT and many other mainstream news outlets aren't trustworthy when it comes to Tesla. This is a great example. (obviously, I can just share this whole video, too.)
On the survey you mentioned on whether Tesla drivers use the internet browser.... I just got my Cybertruck on 032024 ... my first ever Tesla ... and in the course of checking things out ... discovered that there is no way to connect a bluetooth or wired keyboard. It would be SO GREAT to get some work done on a long road trip while waiting at a supercharger ... without dragging a laptop around....But the slow pecking on screen keyboard does not cut it. I WISH Tesla could find a way to allow us to use a bluetooth or even wired keyboard.
Yeah the only thing with neural link is you be able to walk but you would have to shut it off when you go to sleep because it probably won't understand the difference between walking in your sleep and walking while you're awake
An RO unit- "Reverse osmosis filters excel at removing heavy metals due to their efficient filtration mechanism. The microscopic pores of the membrane effectively capture even the tiniest particles, ensuring that heavy metals are effectively removed from the water supply." There are also filtered water bottles & pitchers that also remove metals at a smaller scale.
Eliminating plastic is hard but I have been trying for about a year. Bodywash and shampoo bottles - switched to bar soap and shampoo Laundry and dishwasher detergent - Switched to powder Deodorant/antiperspirant - just a week ago I started using a plastic free deodorant, it is in a cardboard tube. So far so good, even held up at the gym. Looking for plastic free toothpaste now I am planning to replace plastic drinking cups with stainless steel.
Wow, think about that you could have a Optimus robot that would take care of you .but you control it so it won’t get tired. It won’t get mad it’s you. Oh man that’s the best way to do long-term care.
Reporting about EA sites is better in some areas, notably apparently northern CA. I have friends with Kia or Mercedes EVs who know where all the EA sites are on the way from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe, and who are satisfied with the experience.
Per your request for REUSE, our local food bank distribution takes donations of laundry detergent, dish soap, etc in large containers and splits it up into smaller (used plastic) containers to distribute. This reuses and also allows them to distribute to more people.
Thank you for pointing out what this journalist at NY Times did. As always, NY Times, and other journalists and media continue to lie for the Biden administration. This is DISGRACEFUL, and please continue to inform the rest of world. Can you spell out his full name, is it John Broder?

Not to mention the complete lack of pedestrian safety with the Cybertruck. More patients in need of NL, if they are not being killed on impact.

Thanks for the great channel. Wonderful information. Thanks for all your hard work.
Great show gents as always! I really laughed at “55 mph, that’s what I usually see Harley riders doing.”
Reuse? We take our own bags shopping. Not getting plastics bags every time you shop seems to be a LOT of plastic IMO. I've been doing this for years.

skip the plastic water bottles, drink beer from glass bottles....works for me...
I’m looking forward to seeing your updated FSD Beta v12 video.
All (not some) of my refrigerator containers are now glass. However, with "plastic" lids. LOL
Absolutely criminal that you guys don’t have your Cybertruck yet… what the heck!!?!?!?!
I use the browser all the time to review hotels, check weather radar, check TSLA stock price, and other items!
I use it for Discord. I can use voice commands to type out a thought that I have without looking away from the road.
There is already lots of lithium in processing but the mines have stopped selling it at the moment due to the low market price, was on a report earlier this morning
When it comes to plastic recycling, is it fair to quote a study from 2017? It is 2024 now
You have access to a newer one? Gimme!

Nolan is amazing.. thanx for bringing this up..❤
40:42 thinking those escape slides would be awesome for escaping tall buildings on fire etc 🤔
Actually if Noland had an Optimus suit that he wore and controlled, that would probably be closer to more independence for him.
Maybe it's in the plan...
I guess that we need to go back to glass bottles and returning them? I gave up drinking pop for lent.
45:28 I refill my single use plastic bottles for drinking water, not to store, of course, but to drink over the next few hours. By doing this I use only two 16 oz bottles every few weeks.

You guys funny... Make my day... What about an exoskeleton for quadriplegia???😎
That guy is a star
He guys don't worry about the bike they'll find their way into the world just fine💲💲💲
Purchase the new Keurig Rounds when they come out. It will stop the plastic and aluminum waste due to K-cups

wouldnt it be cool if an optimus fits in a teslafrunk?
By the time you guys post these videos another 10 Tesla news come up, most lagged behind news channel ever.
Nolan may become the first real world Avatar and his alter ego will be a Tesla Bot.. or an actual Robotaxi or a Cybertruck..
7:10 forget him having a full-time nurse. He can have him an Optimus to ride on as an EXO skeleton.😊
Missouri has the opposite of incentives for getting residential solar and power storage.

JB probably selling articles to WSJ too!!
I have very much enjoyed many of the recent Don Lemon videos. Odd world.

My next kitchen boards will not be plastic. Cheers
Instead of buying small water bottles have a water dispenser at home to fill up a reusable cup to take to work.
Nice video😊
now do I understand correctly? Neuralink should eventually be able to reconnect people like him to his own body, right?
My Cybertruck will be perpetually covered in mud and dirt. Between surfing, my work cleaning the coastline and my regular job as a contractor, it will never be clean, and that's fine, I'm too busy to spend my time cleaning my truck. I guess I'm gonna have to cough up for FSD.

How about an android phone to do your work? 🍀
Yeah the only thing with neural link is you be able to walk but you would have to shut it off when you go to sleep because it probably won't understand the difference between walking in your sleep and walking while you're awake
Instead of soda stream look into a Coke Breakmate desktop 3 flavor soda fountain from the 1990s
My well water isn't drinkable. It's heavy iron and manganese. What can I do to get water besides plastic water bottles?
An RO unit- "Reverse osmosis filters excel at removing heavy metals due to their efficient filtration mechanism. The microscopic pores of the membrane effectively capture even the tiniest particles, ensuring that heavy metals are effectively removed from the water supply." There are also filtered water bottles & pitchers that also remove metals at a smaller scale.
Eliminating plastic is hard but I have been trying for about a year.
Bodywash and shampoo bottles - switched to bar soap and shampoo
Laundry and dishwasher detergent -
Switched to powder
Deodorant/antiperspirant - just a week ago I started using a plastic free deodorant, it is in a cardboard tube. So far so good, even held up at the gym.
Looking for plastic free toothpaste now
I am planning to replace plastic drinking cups with stainless steel.
Wow, think about that you could have a Optimus robot that would take care of you .but you control it so it won’t get tired. It won’t get mad it’s you. Oh man that’s the best way to do long-term care.
Now replace your vegan leather 👍
Reporting about EA sites is better in some areas, notably apparently northern CA. I have friends with Kia or Mercedes EVs who know where all the EA sites are on the way from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe, and who are satisfied with the experience.
I think Tesla, Nueralink, and all of Elon's companies have a very bright future ahead of them!
Healthcare assistant is a better term, instead of Nurse. As an RN, I know there is more to Nursing than physically assisting someone.
Per your request for REUSE, our local food bank distribution takes donations of laundry detergent, dish soap, etc in large containers and splits it up into smaller (used plastic) containers to distribute. This reuses and also allows them to distribute to more people.
Optimus exoskeleton (Iron Man suit)!
So, correction on the NYT thing... He wasn't fired... he was promoted for that article. lol
Disgraceful!
Thank you for pointing out what this journalist at NY Times did. As always, NY Times, and other journalists and media continue to lie for the Biden administration. This is DISGRACEFUL, and please continue to inform the rest of world. Can you spell out his full name, is it John Broder?
Can i get the background image @ 12:59?
Reducing plastics by... Drinking from stainless steel & glass bottles & storing food in stainless steel soup thermos.
