I received FSD complimentary for the month of April. Just used it this weekend that I was blown away!!! Smart move for Tesla to do this for their customers. 😁👍🏼
I’m an Uber driver in Philadelphia, PA and I’m fortunate to have FSD enabled in my car TITTO, at least for this full 30-days. Overall, the drive was great and the car knew what it was doing. Passengers enjoyed it and were amazed to have the car drive to their destination… for the most part. Some passengers expressed their concern and I had to deactivate the feature for them, but the majority welcomed it. The things I didn’t like and had to assist were the breaking behind a red light or behind another car, which is a no-no in Philly as you will get honked at immediately (it would break abruptly with two-car distance and crawl its way forward, but I accelerated a little). The car got too close to the curb when making turns, but that was just from my point of view since the car’s cameras would show a reasonable distance. It would be slow getting into the highway, were the on-ramp was 40mph and it would keep that speed until we reached the 65mph speed limit sign on the highway; I had to push the acceleration and readjust the speed (very dangerous in a robo-taxi scenario). Potholes! This winter was harsh and there are a lot of potholes (I had to repair my rims 7 times already) and the car just didn’t try to avoid them at all and I had to harshly steer around them. School zones, another very dangerous situation in a robo-taxi scenario because it just didn’t slow down to 15mph, not even a bit, and I had to completely deactivate the FSD. I really hope Tesla listens to me, when I say that they should let Uber drivers have this software for free, enabled in their vehicles, at least while the app is on. Have a QR code and message displayed on the screen, where passengers can access a website and rate their FSD experience. We drive hundreds of miles per day, it only makes sense to have us, as test drivers for the software. Imagine all of the data that can be gathered and the feedback we can provide when we take over for FSD in any given situation.
Love everything you do guys but Tesla sales in Australia for March could be a little skewed. A lot of those sales were catch up when an entire ship full were sent back to China in January because of bio security concern. Our Model Y was one of them and we took delivery, finally, in March.
To answer the question @27:26 The Tesla "display" is roughly 80 by 14 (1120 cars, by my calculation but a bit hard to count). Even at $80K/each, that would be ~90 Million, and even give or take it's no comparison because "[t]he Las Vegas Sphere arena cost $2.3 billion to build".. but still amazing and absolutely impressive! But maybe someday (but it would take about half a million cars)! lol
Zac and Jesse, yours are the ONLY hour-long videos on the internet that I look forward to watching. Usually if I see a channel has posted one over 20 minutes, that's a no-go for me, but you guys keep it entertaining. Thanks.
I hate to say it, but the negative Tesla news is winning. It's shocking how the common person is so negative on EVs and in particular Tesla. Thank you for accurate news. I'm a former news person, so I very much appreciate what you guys do. Thank you. Thank you and thank you.
It doesn't help that some of it (Elon's other life) are either justified or poorly defended, most likely the former. But yeah, reading the cybertruck news compared with owner reports is jarring.
Negative response propaganda amongst people is reflection of percentage of population that can think critically & discern facts from emotional nonsense. But reality will bite either way.
6:58 from 2pm April 7th to 5am April 9th, just drove round-trip 1167 miles to see the 2024 Eclipse, almost all with FSD 12.3.3. NOT PERFECT but really, really nice. I'm going to list some glitches here, but do note, they were but a few moments in over 15 hours of driving. In decreasing order of stupidity: 1- Cut off and brake checked semi-truck (once or twice. requires joint screw-uppage by FSD and driver). Normally after passing on the left, Ego will get well ahead of the passed vehicle before moving out of the passing lane. HOWEVER, when there is another vehicle close behind you also passing a vehicle, Ego tries to move out of the passing lane sooner, sometimes too soon. When Ego tried to cut back over too soon in front of a semi, I should have just hit the accelerator and that would have kept things safe. Instead, I (belatedly) fought Ego's action, leaving me part way in front of the semi with no Ego and in a decelerating car. It is possible that the Semi driver may not have noticed as I got on the accelerator pretty fast. It's also possible he thought I was intending to brake check him.... sigh. 2- Refusing to change lanes when requested (with minimal lane changes set) 2a- when driving in rain at night, Ego may be thinking the spray from the back tire is a vehicle in the blind spot. 2b- when merging onto highway, Ego is glued to the merge lane and rides it until it is gone. There were some other things, too, like sometimes when changing lanes to the right, Ego would swing too far right and then recover. really klutzy. Every lane change to the left was really good. Following cars in stop-and-go-slow traffic on the interstate, Ego was a little slow to brake, IMHO, so I would brake sooner. Even with its flaws, I loved my first FSD Ego trip. Every issue I had was ultimately quite manageable, and when in doubt disengagement is quick and easy, if anything, maybe a little too thorough (it would be good if a steering wheel disagreement disengagement would leave TACC running, like when using AutoPilot). I can't spend 12K USD for my own copy of FSD right now, but I do plan to subscribe a month at a time, every time I'll be doing long trips.
Fat bikes are great in the snow. Just let 25%+ of the air out of the tires and have some big fun. I spent three days tooling around on my Rad Rover in the snow 3 years ago and it was a blast. A perfect entry for the Now Let's Adventure Channel. P.S.: Head for the Beach. The same technique works there too!

Tesla could easily increase its sales by tweaking its offering. BYD offers a RWD version of its long range Seal as well as an AWD version of the long range Seal. The lower price RWD Seal is selling very well which indicates that consumers are price sensitive.
Pittsburgh to Washington, we did half of it a few years ago and highly recommend it. It’s a great trail with no cars, beautiful scenery, and heaps of history!😊
Hopefully you guys can visit Atlantic Canada for some epic EBike adventures. We have some incredible trails and bike paths here not to mention we have the Fundy Trail and the Trans Canada Trail. I live in Riverview New Brunswick and you can get pretty much anywhere by bike.
The Cybertruck that got in the collison might be repairable, although it definitely was damaged, any other car would've been crumpled like a tin can. The Cybertruck would need two new doors, new wheels, a new front quarter panel, and new trim. Probably some suspension work as well.
Summer trip: Jackson Hole, WY through Yellow Stone to the Montana border. Take the truck and trailer and do a lot of bike side trips. Be sure to stop by the Cowboy Bar in Jackson. Bring a fishing pole for great trout fishing. You can get a temporary fishing licence. Remember, the wild animals are wild. The elk, bear and buffalo have maimed and killed many a dumb tourist that thought they were at a petting zoo. Zack, sorry we didn't connect in Eugene.
CORRECTION: I missed your announcement at the beginning. My bad. Sorry for my comment below. Hey guys, why is the canceling 25k M2 model completely ignored and overshadowed? I am very sad that there will come no low price Tesla for the masses and would like more attention to this decision.
Congratulations! I just rented a Model 3 and drove it from NYC to Northern NH and back. What an amazing machine. After driving one, you immediately know one simple truth, the infernal combustion engine is dead. I'll never stop at another gas station again.
The X axis (time) scaling on the graphic @6:09 is higgidy jiggidy. First interval is 3 mo, 2nd is 10, then 5, 10, 5, 3 and 4. I mean, that's one way to get an exponential curve but...

44:30 - I traveled for the eclipse. Because I have an EV I only used 40% of my battery, the drive was only about 60 miles each way but because of traffic it took 2 hours to get there, 2.5 hours to get home. The slower speed meant I used way less energy ironically!
You guys just have the most amazing chemistry and are just wonderful to listen to. I am still on the journey of convincing my wife that our next car is a Tesla. I will be on the winning end of that discussion since I have several more years before we need to purchase. Anyway, great video as always; I love watching your content.
@jesse it would be cool in sunspots to talk to some users of the Power On program in San Juan, my understanding from SunRun representatives is that this is set to be the largest program in the US and the case study, beating out Texas and California which started before Puerto Rico did. Since we have daily power failures and aging infrastructure still damaged from Hurricane Maria its amazing what this program has done in the last 4 months for the grid in Puerto Rico.

It is a lot better, but it still drives like a 15-year-old with a learner's permit. The last bit is likely the most challenging.
