Trying to convince the British Army that a sequal to this video is needed, where we drive around in Challenger 2 tanks, having trained for years in War Thunder and World of Tanks. Who knows, they might like it? Anyway, stop data brokers from exposing your personal information. Go to our sponsor aura.com/squire to get a 14-day free trial and see how much of yours is being sold!
As a registered member of the army’s elite tank regiment “The 12th Gaijin Regiment” I can confirm, after asking my Colonel, that you will be given our Challenger 3 prototype.
Kind regards,
Private Stalin
As a follow-up to that, I would like to confirm that you do need a minimum of 350 hours in War Thunder to command the tank.
Kind Regards,
Private Stalin
Would be awesome, looking forward to it! Spring greetings from northern Finland :)

A s a former army engineer and a gamer (even gaming content creator) and a man that runs a community of forces veteran gamers, I have to say......
This documentary was fantastic! (shared with my community, we will all appreciate the humour).
Also a little FYI - the forces actually use games as training tools. I believe these days its some special variant of arma, Im old though so back in my day it was a variant of the half life/counterstrike engine along with a special version of the original total war engine for strategic discussion. In addition the UK and US and EU have adopted console pads and now touch screen as interfaces for a lot of tech, as people are already experienced with them.
I think the one good thing I heard was the US recruiting gamers as drone pilots for some reason, "some" of us are better at it. Well, it is an Xbox controller...

That's exactly how those guys are
lol
Lol i could not stop laughing at that. Funny part is going through basic and now into my fourth year I can say this. Having intricate knowledge of German warfare has paid dividends when it comes to theory and application. War has not changed much, but the technology has. Ukraine has been a shit show on both sides by not learning the lesson of history. Go into a room full of gamers and ask them the deadliest weapon on the battlefield most will give tanks and artillery, the smart ones say trucks
The question is a bit ambiguous but I get the point. Logistics is king
@@FuriousImp
Can't win a war on an empty stomach.
Bit newer; can't shoot much without ammo. 😂
@@joshb8233 - I see this differently. This "smart" German and American generals and politicians told the Ukrainian that they have to make a Blitzkrieg, put a lot of man in one area and pull through the enemy lines.
The Ukrainians tried it and failed miserabel. They had 7000 death within one day and this are only the soldiers which the Russian found at the "breakthrough" line. The ground there was full with bodies and destroyed vehicles.
The "Blitzkrieg" simply do not work if the enemy know what you are doing. He can prepare the artillery and destroy the formation before it can make any damage. Today, with the possibilities to gather information and the problem that in Ukraine are a lot of people which are Russian speaking and support the Russian, it is impossible to use this tactic.
But what did the German/American told to the Ukrainian? They should try it again, they must did it wrong somehow, because in Germany in 1939 it worked so well.
I was in the German army, I know some good people there and many very bad/stupid people. I have seen so much problems there, so that I would not fight in this army in case of a war. To surrender would be smarter that to fight. Even with the Russian, we have seen that we killed millions of them, they came to Germany, occupied the area for a while and then they did go back.
If my villager here would have created a resistance for the Russian, the only difference would be that our village would disappear from the map, because the had to break the resistance till the reach Berlin.
If our politicians want this war, they can do it by their own. They can take a gun and fight. But no, if they are in danger, they would give up immediately. If the enemy is far away and the German soldiers die in the trenches, then they are total warmonger and do not care how much German soldiers die.
This war in Ukraine is extremely stupid and could be prevented from happen. And the half a million death Ukrainians would be still alive. This while thing does only exist to move money, from the US citizen to the US military complex. And no, the USA did not everything that Ukraine could win this, they send them only weapons from the 80's.
Compare the amount of military spending of the USA (1500 billion USD), Europe without Russia (1200 billion USD) and Russia (56 billion USD).
If the North-Americans and Europe want to win this, they would win this easily, because Eu+US are overpowered compared to the Russians.
0:14 nice touch with the impulsive reloading.
2:22 Operation Flashpoint says hello
I love how in games to get steady shot you hold your breath but when you actually shoot they tell you to breath.
Also when they fired 2 shots than reloaded that was a good detail. Love the video.
What you want to do is learn to take the shot during the natural pause in your breath. I think it's easiest to do on the exhale, some people do it after inhaling, some people do it in between. The most important thing is to be consistent and do it the same way every time. The problem with holding your breath is that your brain starts losing oxygen, so it starts to increase your heart rate in order to push more oxygen, and your blood vessels in your eyes start to constrict causing you to struggle to focus and get tunnel vision.

The one thing the British Army would be able to gain by concripting gamers is that you will have a generation of fighters that don't care about committing war crimes so long as it works and fits the "meta" of the conflict. It would make them very useful against unexpecting Middle Eastern enemies that rely on our reluctance to fight fully.
Only thing that makes squaddies "reluctant" is the certainty of going to the glasshouse.
I'm guessing the Russians are focusing their recruitment there then.
As a middle eastern enemy I'd rather not have that!
Having served myself, the bit with the monster energy isn't a gag; squaddies live on energy drinks, and yes, they carry it in their webbing.

Us Gen-Z's would be an ideal solder. A lot of us are already depressed, so we wouldn't feel fear of dying. A good chunk of us are gamers, and since we'd sit around all day barely moving and not needing to eat food, drink water, or literally hours and hours on end, making us a good sniper. And most of us can insult people to the point of tears, so we'd be able to insult the enemy to death in the event we run out of bullets.
