Dang!! You have thought of everything! You really know how to explain! I'm sure you've seen it all, but you have the patience and ability to do a perfect job! Thank you for helping me construct my project!! It is most appreciated!!👍
one thing that wasn't mentioned (at least i think it wasn't) is a counterweight. it would help with pulling (or pushing) a gate across a tilted or sloped driveway so that a smaller motor can be used.
Thank you for the nice explainer video. My question is, can the sliding gate be operated manually without any special settings to the motor? For example, in case I don't carry the remote controller to open/close the gate, can I operate it like a regular (non-motorised) sliding gate?
No you can't otherwise anyone could so wouldn't be very secure. You can fit a digital keypad for opening the gate if you have forgotten your key or make it work with your phone, I will be making a video about this in the installing gate motors series.
Can you put it in sliding gate going to use the v track I need 16 ft Can only find 6 foot sections do they go together well should I keep looking for a better piece what do you think
Use what you can get so long as you can find suitable wheels. Lengths of track can be joined but normally make a small click noise as the wheels roll over unless you line them up really well

@@automaticGatesExplained Thanks for your reply. I am looking for convenience, not security as such.
