Vince Romani 😂 thank you. Too kind.
outstanding job mate
Thanks champ 😁
You nailed it!
Nick haha thanks Nick.
beautiful fence and quiet smooth sliding gate
Chris Valdez thanks heaps. Very kind of you.
Great job... don't forget fix the connection, idealy with pipe undergrown...regards from Chile
Víctor Padilla all good mate. Was just for demonstration purposes at that stage.
Hello, currently working on fabricating a similar sliding gate. Can you possibly reference the product used for your trusses that support the track? This would be much more effective than having to pour a bulkier traditional slab. Fantastic work by the way.
Yeah mate....Great job, I am about to do this, However I will use a solar unit...great tip on the wire gauge to run the motor...I used to live in Bay Street Franggas...Go well keep safe and hang loose bruva....
M J thanks mate. Good luck with your build 😁
do you have a video of the track thin cement pad?? I like how simple it looks... I am trying to figure out the best way to ad this track on a metal fence...
What do you call not deep digging to run the power cable from the house to the motor?
Hi, how you put the track, direction in which the gate slides back? how deep and wide is the concrete strip under that track
Don't forget, on your sliding gate you need to cover your trapping and shear points with safety edges, cat 3, and be force tested using a calibrated meter, other than that a nice job.
Great work!! Will you do in Western suburbs as well? I'm looking for fencing for my house.
Bhanu Prakash thanks mate. Unfortunately that’s too far for me
Hey mate, beautiful work, very talented! Just a question in regards to the trestle that the gate runs onto. Is that just a pre made trestle like a bit of box section with feet welded underneath it and then you concrete the feet after you get it level? Was i understanding that part right? Cheers mate
Sam Tamahori custom made and yes 👍
@@naileditfencing cheers mate appreciate it. Earned yourself a sub 🤙
This is Tom with Screwed It Construction & approve this video !
youtubeisfullofspam thanks Tom
Sweet looking fence! What gate motor etc are you using here? I’m looking at doing similar here in NZ
gashpasher it’s called a Powertech 500
Where did you get the sliding mechanism from Thanks
Hello there mate
I’m in Central Vic and have read your comments and found you don’t head out west which I’m further out than that. I have a newish fence done already pretty much exactly this fence although just a straight front fence. I’d like something of this quality and look. Could you tell me if it’s not to personal a ball park cost to do a gate the same as this. I’ll be getting quotes and showing the tradesmen this video (if you don’t mind) as it’s exactly what I am after.
Thanks heaps mate and keep up that quality workmanship.
Gary.
Vin Cheezel sorry mate. Without measurements and seeing the site, I can’t help with a cost. My advice, look at Google reviews and chose a fencer you think with build to the standard you are after.
Hi Mate awesome job. I’ve been doing fencing but one question - how do you secure your Pauling’s to the metal frame on gate 👍
Thanks mate. Metal wingtek screws
Hi mate, i am up in QLD, for a 3.5m wide fence 1.5m high similar design what would a ball park figure be for the parts alone? Im a sparky so looking to do one DIY or engage a local contractor for it, expecting around 4k if that sounds about right?
Hello Jason,
I am also doing a same sliding gate system up in Queensland with solar unit. However, I was wonder where to buy the trestle and the cross stand for it (or did you made them by yourself). Can you do a video of how you did them or install them. Any help is appreciated. Cheers mate. Btw good work on the fence.
I don’t do how to’s at the moment but ask a steel fabricator who specialises in gates
I have a problem with dirt and debris constantly washing onto the rail where it runs on the inside of the gate. Any budget friendly suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Garden edging might work 👍
Awesome! Top notch!! what make is the automated gate and rail system? and is the Alloy gate from custom built for the job or is it off the shelf. Thanks in advance.
Andre Alipate thanks mate. The motor model I don’t advertise, except in a quote, as it is a very good motor and I do try to keep it from my competitors. The steel gate is custom for the job. Just like all my gates.
You're not gonna lose jobs by sharing that information. Most of us are diyers. There's a Ton of people, Ton a work, you're not gonna lose job lol. Especially in the construction trade..
I've never seen that top metal tube guide that goes between the rollers. Does that have an official name I can use to ask my local metal suppliers? I'm based in the States, and the only thing I see is are square tubes with the rollers on the outside. Hope to hear back. Thanks!
Brent Daugherty I’m not sure what you are asking? Can you take a screen shot and circle what you mean and email me at info@naileditfencing.com.au
@@naileditfencing Thanks. I'll send you an email now.
Brent Daugherty Did you figure out an answer to your question? I'm interested to know as well.
Hey mate, just wondering how long you make the legs on the trestles? Cheers mate
600mm generally
I just want to know how to install the motor and adjust it to limit for open and close
Theun Soupharak I’ll do a video on that one day.
Do u have a link to the roller u have at the top of the pole tha the gate roll on also a link to the tubing that the roller hook to.
Devarus Hamond no link sorry. My supplier doesn’t sell online.
I prefer to use steel fence instead of wooden, then can be painted with black color. At least it's more durable with concrete columns and ground beams. Sliding gate has good design.
Each to their own. Some people like the natural look of timber.
I’m interested, but how would I get my amazon 📦 delivery’s ?
Nice fence & beautiful work
Sumtin Wong there are many solutions. Without seeing your property, it’s hard to answer.
Can i get some information on this gate? Its exactly what I need. Im wondering if I can get it in a kit or something. I need something i can DIY because paying someone for this type of work is astronomically expensive where i live. I need information and phone numbers name brands and specifications please?
Ronald Brantley this is a custom made gate. Not a kit sorry. It’s made from 50x50mm galvanised steel with a bottom rail of 50x75mm.
Hey mate interested in when you mentioned not doing a 400 etc footing so you don’t have to have the track to sit on. It would be ugly and cost... how exactly did you anchor the track down in the dirt!? Did you have individual conc blocks with cross reo in it, I’m curious instead of going crazy with one big footing which I was going to do. But your way was clean. I’m doing a brick wall.
James C under the trestle track in the dirt area, there are a series of steel legs with a cross at the bottom. Dig holes and fill with concrete.
Nailed it fencing cheers mate
Where do you purchase these mate?
Do you think this gate can be achieved with wood only. ?? No metal frame
Absolutely not 😬
Hello beautiful fence where can I pick up the track system in America
ghost5150ify thank you. I’m not in America so I wouldn’t know sorry.
Try E Bay mate...they have heaps of track systems mains power and solar....Go well
Hey mate, where did you purchase the sliding gate motor from?
Sasha S you I don’t divulge that information sorry.
What is the dimensions of this gate
Jases, could you point me in the direction of the cross overs for the rails and how to fit them mate. I live in central Victoria and need to set up a sliding gate please.
Chuxxsss B rephrase the question please
@@naileditfencing I'm trying to put the bottom rail to the gate in first time. The gate is 5.4 metres long. I need to put the bottom rails in you used some type of T bar under the rail where did you get it, and does it have to go all the way along please.
Chuxxsss B I’m not sure you are using the correct terminology? Are you referring to the track that the sliding gate wheels roll on?
@@naileditfencing Yes the tracks.
Just google “sliding gate track” for a local supplier. This is the style you are after. www.bunnings.com.au/richmond-bolt-down-gate-track-3m-for-sliding-gates_p3962446
Where are you located bud?
Victoria Australia
Is only that 75x75 beam with the guide holding the whole sliding gate on his place? what if you get a lot of wind against the gate?
For the rest it looks very nice!
Yaksan that 75 x 75 steel beam is heavily concreted in. You could hit it with your car and it won’t budge.
@@naileditfencing how much millimeters did you put the beam into the concrete if i may ask?
Yaksan in general 800-900mm deep
What’s average cost for this kind of quality work?
Nomadic Knight that’s like asking ‘what’s the length of a piece of string?’ Lol. It’s job dependant.
This type of gate probably wouldn’t work in winter conditions?
Randy K maybe not in northern Russia. But in Australia it’s fine. Lol
@@naileditfencing so it Will go thru snow and ice ok then ??
Nailed it fencing I do know it’s snows and higher elevations in Australia but I’m just curious here in United States I like that Gate style you build thought I’d try that too but its snow and ice where I live
Randy K I have no experience with snow. It doesn’t snow where I am.
Who is wasting money on paling sliding gates these days in 10 years on it will be rat shit palings will bend bow and what not when the shit drys turn to a dog shit colour such a waste of money steel colourbond all the way, looks good mate but I don’t understand people anymore for the few more dollars you get colorbond were I live colorbond is cheaper then timber lol
