Thanks for this video bro, now I know how to replace the injectors on my 14 fusion 2.0EB. 111k miles on the factory ones, think I will eventually replace them with the Xtreme DI injectors as I have gotten an Xtreme DI HPFP. Really need to get my valves walnut blasted too haha
oddly, the RS injectors (100cc more flow than ST injectors) are much cheaper and swap right in...i got all 4 from Rockauto for like $180 shipped. You do need to tune for them since they have a different flow rate (anyone with a FoST generally has a custom tune anyways), but they're a great upgrade too if you have the upgraded HPFP and want a little more fueling to go with the bigger turbo if you've upgraded that also. RS injectors are not much of an upgrade, but its a slight bump to at least support a little more fueling for your tuner to work with. Dont forget too that Rockauto ALWAYS has a 5% discount, just search it and apply it to your checkout page. Usually covers taxes or shipping, so its better than nothing!
Hey Nick do you remember what the AFR code you got was? I think I commented a few weeks ago about my own, and I’ve replaced a low pressure fuel sensor and it hasn’t been fixed. I’m looking for pointers as to what I need to do, and I’m dreading that this is the solution. I don’t have an accessport, but I used forscans self test, and it was lean by about .8 on the afr test.
Thanks for the video share, I'm on the verge of losing it. I have a 2014 with 87k FBO strat 93 tune. Replaced plugs, cleaned intake valves, replaced purge valve, cleaned out my charge pipes, IC, IM, fuel system cleaner, cleaned maf, map, and IM sensor. Serviced my turbosmart BOV, cleaned oily muck from turbo inlet intake side. Installed full OCC and radium pcv plate after thorough cleaning. Recently installed new 02 sensors. Reset ecu learning. ALL THIS AND I'M STILL getting terrible MPG, erratic idle (rpm needle dances up and down until settling) upon cold startup along with misfires (5 to 19 avg). Idle is somewhat rough, have cobb RMM... Hard to tell if it's the injectors causing it. But there is a weird pattern to the idle, not smooth consistency. Kinda of slight up and down but you can't see it in the needle after warm up. I def have a boost leak somewhere in the boost selenoid area by the turbo (boost leak tested it and heard it after 12psi, won't hold pass that. Gotta smoke it out. Aside from that I think my injectors are shitty due to the carbon build up I saw in my valves when I cleaned them. I'm hoping once I attack that boost leak and replace fuel injectors, it'll all be over. If not... I might sell. I love the car and this drives me nuts. Gonna order the Bosch ones. Good thing I watched your video, I almost did the ship and clean bc i wanted Motorcraft so bad and didn't want to spend $500. So Bosch it is! Thank you.
Dont forget, there is a fuel rail pressure sensor that can go bad too. its directly under the intake manifold on the passenger side (US models). Its about $60 and mine failed after 3 years of running an E30 tune. You get both low/high pressure codes and misfires once it actually goes out.
Saw a little trick on restart: turn on ignition w/o starting engine (charges HP pump), turn off...repeat a couple times. It will charge the fuel rail. Ive not done this repair, just a tidbit I noted, cheers.
Nick give an update if you gonna manage. I have 2016 ST and have same issue tryning now a camshaft and crankshaft position sensor. Keep in touch man and I send all ST drivers best regards. Together we gonna solve this issue.
Think about this guys. You need a proper fire extinguisher if you're working on the fuel lines. Also, if the car catches fire I hope it's not in the garage that is attached to the house. Because you didn't have a fire extinguisher available, you lose the house.
I’m having an issue in first gear as it catches from a dead stop my st shimmy’s, almost like wheel hop but it’s not, can’t tell if it’s trans related, pressure plate and flywheel, it’s not the rear motor mount, idk what it is but it also gives me ign correction and detects knock here and there, and ideas?
@@Nickjoenap I just can't think of anything else. I changed my spark plugs and it made my mpgs worse somehow. but I don't have anything else wrong with mine
Hey! Its been a few days, hows it running? Mine is currently having this issue and its been a real money pit. Mines a 2017 ST, can you send me the link to the injectors?
It hasn’t really fixed the issue for me. It still has all the same symptoms. Go to rockauto and fill out the info for your car and it’ll pull the injectors up under fueling
@@Nickjoenap So my car is basically misfiring and idle fluctuates. I have changed sparks and coils along with getting my intake walnutblasted or w/e and still same issue, im so over it bro im legit about to sell this car and make someone else deal with it haha
That’s all these direct injection motors do is misfire, it’s nothing to worry about but the purge valve is probably the issue, free replacement at the dealer (recall)
The heat shield is not a fire hazard, probably there to keep the fuel rail as cool as possible. The real issue you have is that the engine is direct injected. Steer clear of that tech at all costs.
Tried this with my 2014 and there's an extra bolt at the bottom of the intake, stuck sensors and clips (most broke). Vacuum hose had to be disconnected to get around wire harness (barb connector broke). Offered the car to a friend for free. He refused. Managed to get $300 from the scrap yard. Never buying a Ford again.
Bro you legit just described all my problems god bless I’ve narrowed the high RPM backfires now

Would this be the same process for the base model? Can’t find any videos for the se trim

Did you fix it?
Did you replace the injectors? It helped with the needle dance and misfire stops?
Hey Keith, any update on your issue? Did you fix it?
Did the injectors help or did you end up needing new engine?

Looks like blow by due to the o ring seal on your injector being shot on that 4th injector
I've replaced the o2s, high pressure fuel pump, and the coil pack n plugs. Fuel system cleaner didn't work either hopefully this does
bought 4 of the Bosch and a NTK upstream 02 sensor for $422 shipped. Hoping this fixes my issues.
What fuse do you need to take off to empty the line?? Thanks
How many cc are the factory injectors bro?
Great video! Will a purge valve video be out as well eventually? Thanks
yes purge valve video coming soon in a next few weeks

Do you need to reprogram the ECU with the new injector codes? Some videos show this step and others no
Id reset the ecu just to be safe and start fresh but I’m not sure
Anyone know fuel injector bolt spec ?

i’m sure what it would be if it’s not wheel hop
Maybe an alignment issue, it’ll do it more when I have the wheel turned, a weird hello shimmy feeling in the front end
Hey where did you get those red washers and bolts on the bumper etc?
eBay dress up washers
When you were having an injector issue were you getting excessive ignition correction?
No not really it was mainly just the ltft that was excessive and maybe some ignition correction here and there that was a little out of the normal
what was your LTFT at before installing new injectors? Mine sits at around .29 on idle and drops to around .20 when on the throttle @@Nickjoenap
would this affect mpgs too? I only get 22mpg on the highway and 14-15 in town
There’s a chance but you’d also see other signs of these being the cause

same issue here

hello!
How the hell do you unclip the electrical connectors on the injectors
I think there’s a sliding part like on our coil packs
Next time just open up the gas cap to release some pressure before taking out injectors
