      crazy considering you can buy the parts for about $300. The shops 'go by the book' on labor hours, then just stack jobs and make bank after finishing a '4 hour job' in 1 hour lol

    Add a catch can like you did with Goldie. It slows down the coking effect on the intake valves. Vette guys and other DI engine guys have been doing it for a while. I put one on my 2016 High Country with the 6.2 right when I bought it

    Yoo you didnt torque the fuel rail down bro just wrenched it. That's something I'd wanna make sure is exactly right being that the fuel pressure on our STs hit over 2500psi at WOT. But other then that a decent video....EXCEPT you threw your old injectors out in the yard, send them to SP63 and have them flow checked and cleaned and back washed, all that good stuff so you have them in another 30 or 40k change those back in and take the replaced ones back out n cleaned, rinse n repeat.

    Thinking about doing this to help my ignition corrections issue on cylinder 3, comes up to about -3.xx/-4.xx on light to no boost. Already changed out plugs, might try a new coil pack if that doesn’t help then this is next. Hope I don’t have a bad piston ring, just got a new transmission installed last Sept/October. Lol

      I had a misfire on cyl. 4, changed plugs, still there. swapped injectors with #3, still misfired on #4. Swapped the injectors with #3 and it moved the misfire to cylinder 3. So, I slapped the injectors in(along with a fuel pump, unrelated) and that fixed it. The car is running way better than it ever has. My wife said she's been averaging about 34-35mpg, where we used to get about 29-30

    What was the issue you had? I'm getting a misfire on cold start not bad enough for CEL and wondering if it's a bad injector. This motor is pretty hit or miss. So it could be a lot of things wiring, coils, the tune, carbon. Did plugs like 20k ago.

    • @Random-gl3kw

      Also wondering if you ever solved this....car is strong but also slightly hit and miss lol...did a "decent" diy valve cleaning can always be better but it's got an OCC now and FBO custom tuned...110k miles 14 ST2...I get the little cold start misfires they literally all do that but I always worry about slight idle dips and oil temps in hot weather seeing just touch above the half gauge...I've been advised by multiple people my temps are fine but still worry...my AFR and ign corrections are always good and my tuner said my logs look great so idk lol

    Hi, stumbled across this great vid. Please tell me, is this why there’s like a loudish hissing belt noise from all STs as they get older? You didn’t get that with the MK2s and my ST is loud as far as engine noise goes.

    • @SniderTron3000
      @SniderTron3000  4 роки тому

      I'm not sure, I haven't noticed that really. Could just be hearing the injectors. The fuel pressure for a direct injection engine is like 2,000 psi

    My ST has always had an idle stutter from the factory that was intermittent. Wonder if its a bad injector. When i had my fuel system cleaned for the 15k service it went away for a solid 4-6 months before reappearing again. Did you have to do any kind of programming for these or were they just plug and play?

    • @brianhodgins4682
      @brianhodgins4682 3 роки тому

      Could be the “Ford recal” evap purge valve. You’ll notice the idle stutter happening after a trip to the gas station and a full tank of gas added.

    Hi All, I have a focus st 250, mk3 2014,
    My car started to misfire/run uneven while driving at 60mph, I have checked the ECU and have a p0301 code, misfire cylinder 1.
    I have replaced the spark plugs, and swapped the coil packs around but no change. I guess the issue is possibly injector or compression related but not sure if injectors tend to fail and I am unable to test the compression. Does anyone have any helpful information or experience with this?

    • @mikenethaway8571
