Just picked up my 2017 Wolfsburg Tiguan and I must admit it is a MASSIVE upgrade over my 2014 Jetta. The sunroof is amazing and the main reason I wanted the Wolfsburg.

The 2017 Tiggy Limited is such a sexy car. Last year that this body style was made for Tiguan. The newer Tiggys look so bloated. And have 16 less hp. Which doesn't seem like a lot, but they are much bigger than pre-2017.

haynar153 is the rattling sound from the engine normal ? When I turn my car on it’s like a rattle small kick sound .. but no lights on my dash board.
@@FreakieScreech I never had that issue, and the fact that no lights on your dash when you turn on the car is concerning. I would have it checked out. Good luck! Let me know if you find out what was causing it.

I was negotiating with a dealer in the Maryland area and they came down to $17,660 before tax tag etc on an S with 4motion and the car was new with 12 miles on it. I didn't buy it because of the color combo but i wanted to see how far down on price they would go... so basically with some negotiating skills and sticking to a budget and are qualified to buy one at the END of the month, that's when they are looking to dump cars, and if the dealer is motivated to sell you can pick one up in the 20k range drive away give or take a few thousand. That's a way better deal than any of the competitors features for the money.
+Kyle houlihan If you knew you were not going to buy it in advance then you are ripping off the salesperson by wasting his time with negotiations.
MikesCarInfo I do want to buy the car just not in the color combo they offered to me. The one I wanted wasn't in stock and after I "slept on it" I decided that the price was great but it wasn't "THE ONE" you know. I wasn't trying to rip him off, I liked it in the heat of the moment but I would have regretted buying it. But if you think I was riping him off than theirs nothing I can do to change your opinion.

What is different about the Wolfsburg Edition versus the standard 2017 model?
From what I understand it is actually made at the Wolfsberg plant in Germany vs. other plants.

I got a LOT of pointers I’d never have known/used! Ie, holder for gas cap, slots for cards, etc
this car was too small for my family in current form, but the new extended version seems promising!

This is a nice SUV and the right size for me. I like that they didn't seem to skimp on HP or interior quality. I would have bought one IF they offered a manual transmission because I like forcing the SUV to hold a specific gear in the snow. Bought a Golf instead to get the manual and it handles decently in snow despite the turbo engine. There's a reason a lot of Jeeps still have stick shifts. In my city, whenever I see a Wrangler or a very old Cherokee covered in mud, I look inside: almost all of them have a 5-speed.

hello Mike do you know if the 2017 Ford's f150 work truck xl will get the 10 speed Iam split between the work truck 1500 Silverado and the difference in price where I am from 5k difference in favor of the for. but if both have 6 speed I will Chevy but if for has the 10 speed then I will fork out the extra cash and hold up a little bit more thanks Mike keep up the good work :)
Or look at the Ford Escape 2.0 turbo. 245 HP. 45 more HP than the Tiguan. If you get an Escape 2.0, I highly recommend getting one with AWD otherwise you'll be making the traction control turn on all the time in the rain.

I can't believe they';re still selling this old design model as a 2017? The redesign hasn't arrived in the US yet? You'd be crazy not to wait for the redesign, it is *SO* much better looking, inside and out.

These are the worst front air vents ever. Seriously, either points directly at your face or directly away. Want to point down to either warm or cool your core, don't even think about it. I seriously didn't think anyone could f-up climate control as much as they did. Got it 4 days ago, and already looking at trading it in for anything else, I can't commute in 100° heat and not be able to cool down my core.

i really hate how companies put the buttons for that dumbass trip screen on the steering wheel instead of the cruise controls. i'm going to be using cruise control a lot more often than that dumb screen. why not put the trip computer buttons on a stalk and the cruise buttons on the wheel?? makes no sense.

This is a 2017 model, 1st) Look at the Window Sticker (says 2017), 2nd) If you go to the VW website (US website) you'll notice that the Wolfsburg Edition, both the 4MOTION (AWD) and the FWD versions are only on 2017 models and not 2016, and 3rd) The 2018 Model year which will be released in 2017 will be the first of the 2nd Generation (Complete Redesign) and will be the LWB version in the US; do not confuse the fact of model years vs actual calendar years and realize the difference between European Spec cars and US cars. Mike is right.

So sorry I bought a 2017 Limited. What a noisy engine. Premium and super gas required. 20 MPH. Driver's side window down at highway produces very bad buffering. The radio and iphone App Connect are very nice.

Did you know that one of the largest VW plants outside Europe is in Mexico? I'm not saying they're the best but the effort they put into the vehicle assembly is enough to justify it and the plant has been there for more than 30 years. I have a Golf and it's better built than the MINI Cooper: no creaky center console, no misaligned door panels. In fact, some owners have bought VWs from both Wolfsburg and Mexico and said the quality is the same so at least with this brand, it's not a noticeable issue.

Some were made in Mexico but the Wolfsburg editions are made in, well, Wolfsburg, Germany.
Limited made in Germany
