Well done review as always, your tempo and explanations were crystal clear. This Volkswagen company never ceases to amaze me with their engineering and execution and is the very reason why I switched from BMW, with no regrets.It produces nimble vehicles reminiscent of the older BMW models I had owmed years ago. BMW seems to have lost their way in this category but Volkswagen continues in this European tradition to my complete satisfaction. I just bought a 2016 Tiquan but may buy this one in 2018 if they offer the 180 or 200 h.p. tsi engine in the states. As a final footnote, Volkswagen always offers more value for the money, than any other car company I know. Good show!

Very nice review, great looking car. They will be about 4 inches longer on the American version, made in Mexico.
This is a fucking sexy car and the fact that it is based on the current golf which is already an awesome vehicle makes this car more desirable..

I love the exterior designs of all the Volkswagen cars. But, I really do not know the reason why Volkswagen always makes the interiors of their cars ugly as hell.
Just curious, which interiors do you like best at this price point?
lray1234 My favorite interior desgin is Mazda CX5's. And you know.. Volkswagen is a little bit more expensive than any other sub compact suvs. Sorry for people who prefer classic desgins, but Volkswagen's interior desgins make me hesitant to buy their cars.
I feel the same way. It looks outdated, but I suppose that’s what people refer to as classic... My husband wants the VW Tiguan but I like the Mazda CX 5. 🤔

The UK/German version comes with much better looking 20" painted alloys. Wether it rides better is another question.

Why they remade exterior in other way... Its absolutely other car now - not Tiguan anymore, front view looks like black hole on the bottom, back looks like cube, saloon airtrusters is not round anymore, and front interior panel is electronic display.. Its looks bad compare to old previous 2 generations

Very good looking car, but why make it with less HP than the previous model? Every car maker is upping their HP and VW is doing the opposite... just doesn't make any sense to me.
excellent review ... but i think volkswagen have made the impossible ... just when i thought the tiguan couldn't get any uglier .. they actually MANAGED to make it even worse than the previous one
