This is why I love British humor I didn't see that coming at the end 😂😂😂
Always liked the way brits call TV "the telly", it sounds it's part of the family 😂
I'm from Hungary. I lived in England when My family was on tv there. I found it very funny, it exactly has the humour I enjoy. Plus it helped me understand British accent. Unforgettable memories.
Amusing! I used to think, let alone everyone in Europe was well aware of this accent, they even spoke English in this particular accent.
Wow! Era before the 'Internet boom'. ☺
Its all changed now, theyve replaced british funny with woke ideology and outrage. Such a shame.

I remember my mom’s exact words the first time I moved out and she saw the apartment. “It’s what I expected”. Those words hurt
My parents first saw my first apartment when they decided to stay overnight on their road trip to a place between their house and my apartment. They came _with my two sisters_ to an apartment that had two narrow Murphy beds (pull down from the wall) and a sofa that a person under 5 feet tall could sleep on. Whatever explained this idiocy was never told to me.
I was invited to their destination but "I had to work."
The chemistry between Robert Lindsay, Zoe Wannamaker & Kris Marshall was incredible on set!! I was lucky to go to many recordings of My Family at Pinewood Studios during the first 3 series & it was a lot of fun being in that audience watching them perform 🎭
That would've been delightful!
Any interesting tidbits that viewers may not know about?
It wasn't the same after Nick left...
This is exactly how first apartments look like when you start from the bottom 😂😂😂😂
Some of us at the bottom never managed to start with apartments, I only ever lived in shared houses until I got my own
Loved this little gem of a show!
And this what I call humour. Lovely skit❤
The first time that my mum and dad visited my flat was also the first time that I had a girl spend the night! She hid in the wardrobe!
Very intimate
😂
😂
I love your story.😂
main question is did she come to your flat again
Nick was the best. My Family wasn't as good after he left.
Man I used to love this show
It's on w channel every Saturday and Sunday and dave channel on a Saturday
Hahaha. Did not expect that ending. 😂👌
I loved and miss this show so much!
Loved it when it was on TV. And love this one, especially the ending! 😂
wouldn't mind a reunion special, see how all the characters turned out
Nick was gold! The show was never quite as good without him
I agree, they tried to replace him with Alfie but it just wasn't the same. Seasons 3 to 5 were the best in my opinion.
@@jumpscare1530 I second that. But there were still good moments in later seasons thanks, in large part, to Ben and Susan.
I've just written the exact same thing.
This show was awesome! Loved watching it with my family when I was a kid
The best british humor!😂🏴
Interesting insight on Madam's Hooch personal life 😅
Honestly, when I went flat hunting my parents insisted on coming. Especially my mum. She refused to let me stay somewhere that didn't meet her standards and if I couldn't afford it, she'd help cover some of the extra costs.
I get angry at my parents for many things and after seeing some of the places my mates did or currently still live. I am so grateful to them for this one thing they did do.
I miss this show. It was hysterical.
Madame Hooch ❤
Bring this show back!
Great comedy show! So funny!
this used to be one of my favourite shows growing up, my whole family would sit and watch together! I love Nick so much ! and Robert Lindsay and Zoe ofc😂
Haha, the taking a lightbulb with you when you change room is something I have had to do, and it was in my first flat.
One of my favourite shows growing up. 😅
I did not know Kris Marshall was on tv long before Death in paradise 😆
How i loved this show!! ❤❤❤
My favourite show love them all 😊😊😊😊😊
😂😂first time I've enjoyed anything coming from BBC! If I subscribe, I know it'll revert back to bad things.
I used to love watching this.
I will have to remember that one !
Comedy gold!
J'adore
C'est super rigolo
👍🥰🥰🥰🥰
This show was a masterpiece
They don't make them like this anymore
Didn't see this coming 😂😂😂😂
Nick was the best
Yes he was.❤
He should've been the new Doctor Who...
Briljant😂😂
£900pcm on spare room now, a steal 💪
Nice 😂
This was my SHOW 😂
That was unexpected at the end
Grand tour 😅😅😅😅
😂😂😂
영국인들이 사는 집은 너무 크고 호화롭습니다.
Not compared to America. These are older houses. English houses are usually quite small.
🤣🤣👌
The Brits are very good with these sitcoms.
That's £3000 a month these days
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
plot twist: no one on on under a hundred grand could possibly afford this flat now.
Bring it back
Nah leave it. It's of its time
It's repeated on w channel on Saturday and Sunday and dave channel on a Saturday
It reminds me when I moved to Seattle, Wa in 1999 my mother hated my studio apartment and my IKEA Furniture. She was horrified though the apartment was super tidy. My mother was used to her million dollar house and upscale furnishings. Whatever!
My first flat!
The flat itself was freshly renovated.
The stairwell looked as if homeless people were living there, it was so run-down.
I'll never forget the look on my father's face when he came to visit for the first time - sheer horror. And the sentence, how much money do you need to find something better?
@@kiliipower355 I remember as an eight year old being taken by my mum and dad to visit my big sister's first flat, she was 17. I don't remember much about the inside of the flat but I do remember my dad pointing at a turd near the lift and saying to my mum "That's too big to have come out of a dog!"
@@krashd
And yet, you were so proud of your first place, you paid the rent yourself.
I passed the house many, many years later and just thought: Holy shit, the old man was right.
@@krashd Haha! But remember experiences create strength. My parents were horrified of my first car out of college and wanted to buy me a brand new Lexus! Why?! I couldn’t explain that no one cares. My father was a lawyer and said I had to show I was in charge with a luxury car. I’m a social worker and driving an expensive car would make my clients feel inferior.
We Pakistani live with our parents, they are so loving, caring and sacrificing
What happened to this show? Love from Kenya 🇰🇪
Quite good. Weren't the producers American ?
My flat is around 176 sqm
OT:
Benny Hill considered funnier than Monty Python by two TV stations --WOR and WLVI!
😮😮😢😂😂
Name of this sitcom please?
"My Family"
I love it that is sooo funny....what show is this? I'm American and I love British accent....I'm soo glad that England is our Father Country. I'm glad we are related in a way
It's a sitcom called "My Family".
ye ishq nahin aasaañ!
bas itna hee samjh leejey
ik aag ka dariya.. hai doob ke jaana.
I half expected that ending, but it was still just as emotional, funny.
(depends on whose shoes you are filling now. The responsible parent's or the irresponsible kid's.)
In today's world, this is not just the first flat, it's the only one. Everything else is unaffordable.
Cant help it but all i see is horn blower
So weird that his parents don’t even touch him…
The laugh track is painful
I can assure you "My Family" was filmed in front of a live studio audience at Pinewood Studios as I was in many of those audiences laughing along despite what you may think.
All sitcoms with an audience have laugh tracks to stop the audience from laughing into an actors next line. Wherever possible the laugh on the record night is used but sometimes it must be shortened or artificial inserted. It's the way studio based sitcoms are made
There was no laugh track. The Queen came to the show once and viewed it. It always had a live audience.
BBC need to be more professional what’s with the emojis
You must be really fun :/
