I think the best option for the food truck is to thoroughly clean and degrease interior, repair all food prep equipment, repair engine, do some minor exterior repairs, keep the cool patina and logos, install cool front bumper and flip it. The stainless steel interior surfaces need to be steam cleaned then polished with proper polish agents. With some elbow grease she will clean up and be ready to serve some great food once again. Just a very unique and nostalgic vehicle!!
Love the channel! I would strip out the interior, give it a custom paint job and sell your merch out of it at local shows and events. It’s a cool starting point for a vehicle that demands attention!
if you don't want to go with a food truck, perhaps a work truck for a handyman? extra seats for a crew and a workshop in the rear. Or an on-site mechanic? I could see that at race or bike rallies towing a trailer with a racer/bike and again having a workshop in the truck.
Cool food truck, Looked better in the rain thought it was a nicer truck in the beginning. COE"S are nice trucks if done right.. But Michael below is right it would make a great addition as a mobile tool truck for field recoveries with all the tools and trimming equipment to get those vehicles out of the trees.
You would need to hire short people to work in the food truck! With a front bumper and mounting the radiator lower, you should be able to fix the holes in the hood and make the front look a lot better. That droopy grill is funky too. I kinda like the wide headlights.
I thought it was really cool and look great at the beginning of the video. Not so much later on. Would love to see it gone completely through and redone. Could be great!!
Make it into an offset smoker, the huge stack is already in the back. You see yourself at an event serving onside with chicken, brisket, and the beef and pork ribs, burgers and hotdogs, you would kill it.
It was parked across the street from that station. It was about six months ago I passed by and took pictures. I thought it and the vehicles in the whole town are pretty neat and one of a kind. Small Town Texas gotta love it
I'm starting to gather you guys need a tow truck for some of these purchases. That food truck although it doesn't have a lot of headroom would be a cool ride for the right person possibly even a merch rig. I'm sure the equipment inside is worth a good chunk of change also. A friend of mine bought a coffee stand that was made from a enclosed car trailer that was used in fairs and such he made more of the equipment inside than he paid for the trailer. Great video can't wait to see it coming back from the neglected state it's in. Keep up the good work and enjoyed the video.
Hi guys .I'm so glad your back .when you stopped being turning rust youtube gave no explanation or even suggested your new rustored channel I've only stumbled on it as im laid up in bed with covid I'm back following both channels .prayers for a successful future on both .perhaps use rustored for shorts or competitions 🙏
gut it out lance make a mobile merchandise truck with shelves for storage and hangers for displays and where the windows are make a shelve with storage etc. nice bucket seats up front for riding for location to location. hope its considered bc it would be cool to see ya all build that on the channel
I would keep the outside pretty much as is on the food truck but rip out the internals, maybe put screens on the inside of the fold out windows and make a cool camper out of it.
If y'all are interested, I know where two square body Chevy pick-ups are that can be had cheap. Both are rough but complete with engines and transmissions. One is a short bed four-wheel drive, and the other is a long bed two wheel drive.
You could gut the kitchen out of it, clean it up real good and maybe turn it into a mobile home or a RV, that would be pretty neat, I'm not sure if that's a possibility or not for y'all.
I think that old 64 Chevy truck was mine years ago. It broke down in New Mexico and I left it. I put the 6 cylinder engine in it and drove it from Colorado to Las Vegas in the late 80s.
either 2 things i would is the 1st is gut it out clean it up and just drive it have some fun and custumize it or replace it with up graded stuff and sell some food on the side.
One thing to keep in mind. Those vent hoods - for the cooking exhaust - need to be cleaned about once a week for best performance. Once they get in the kind of condition that this unit is in - - it can start to effect the quality of your food....not to mention the fire hazard from a build-up of the grease inside. Usually, a specialized steam cleaning power washer is required to get those things totally clean.
Maybe put in a roof window all along lengthwise. Could be a cool camping car also. Needs some proper sanitizing. Maybe if some of the big cooking stuff got our it would look even spacier.
Good to see you guys are putting out videos! That food truck would be great to see redone. I don’t know how you’d make that part of the Turnin’ Rust empire, though.
My my my,people seem to forget We are nation still at war,God has already set a war council that we Are a nation still at war ,iv,e been watching the documentary on 9,11 and saw allsmoke plums and I was reminded about how the Indians used smoke signals to let other bands know what was going on As more tribesmen entered into becoming a more united front of battle, as did the Irish inIrland .when Things are made more costly you lose your ability to more human and you inside to be a better person Whereas you my gain your riches but you lose your love for christ,
Really cool Food truck. Just make it functional. Think it would sell easy. The square body will need quite a bit more. The 64 you flipped quick. Thanks men. Enjoyed the video! 💯👍👊
I would make a merch truck out of it. With some shelving built into it. If you keep it open like that you can always easily swap it over to a mobile mechanic truck as well.
Without doing a whole lot of work it's pretty set as a food truck, however if your wanting to keep it and not just have for like a Turnin Rust Party Feeder Bus, it'd make a great looking Mobile workshop truck. No matter what you do I'd lift up that roof, lift up that suspension or air ride it, use better walled tires and See if we can make either the best place to cook in or work in.
This one tricky … the inside of the cab over looks as though the Swedish chef was in there 😂 it would make sense to gut it out make it into a vintage camper. Either way what ever you guys do I’m sure it’ll turn out awesome 😎
You could do burgers and hotdogs with fries or turn it into a taco truck. Just keep it basic so you could turn out the food quick. It could be used for special events catering.
What a cool food truck, its a shame about the lack of maintenance and regular cleaning. The previous owners really dropped the ball on that one In this condition, it would be a health department FAIL. Properly maintained, this ol' beast could be a gold mine.
AWSOME VIDEO GUYS A THREE IN ONE VIDEO,, WE LOVED THE 51 FOOD TRUCK ,, BUT MY SON MAX AND I LOVED THE 64 CHEVY OOHH YA!! THANKS,, G D BLESS KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING PEACE...
I think that needs much work to get sorted and the first thing I would do is lift the roof at least 15 inches so you can stand up straight You also need some major work to get some decent ventilation in it I had a small food vans prior to covid and the heat was a major issue and we had good cross ventilation But t still got as hot as hell in there and ours wasn’t black on the outside That really is a mess on the inside Good luck you guys 🇦🇺👍👍
Put it back on the road as a food truck, someone would buy it and make a fortune. Just a lot of steam cleaning and some new equipment. Hand paint it a bright colour.
I read a comment further down that said th food truck should be used to sell your merch at events. I think that idea makes the most sense. I might lose the graven images. But it is a sweet build.
Neat lookin roach coach..as far as the pickup, Gas Monkey just did a 64 Chevy alsobut they went with a full custom on it with new sheet metal, engine, etc.
Use code TURNINRUST50 to get 50% off your first Factor box at bit.ly/3LAjRDJ!
That truck should be more like a traveling vehicle, but it is up to you still
The food truck would make a great portable shop to hold tools so you can work on vehicles far from the shop.
Also, maybe some fan mech to go qnd sell, when on those trips.
I think the best option for the food truck is to thoroughly clean and degrease interior, repair all food prep equipment, repair engine, do some minor exterior repairs, keep the cool patina and logos, install cool front bumper and flip it. great for merch. but you,d have to have a shorter person working it.
A nice custom camper would be pretty cool to make with the old food truck.
The wet/dry look of this thing make me laugh at the term "beer goggles"
if you don't want to go with a food truck, perhaps a work truck for a handyman? extra seats for a crew and a workshop in the rear. Or an on-site mechanic? I could see that at race or bike rallies towing a trailer with a racer/bike and again having a workshop in the truck.
A food kitchen for the needy would be cool.
A large chrome grill in the front and sliding glass windows would improve it a lot. Maybe a nice sky light window in the roof too.
I see a camper with the food truck. Awesome episode guys.
Convert it into a vacation camper that could be rented out. You could fit it out and theme it 😄
Cool food truck, Looked better in the rain thought it was a nicer truck in the beginning. COE"S are nice trucks if done right.. But Michael below is right it would make a great addition as a mobile tool truck for field recoveries with all the tools and trimming equipment to get those vehicles out of the trees.
I would like to inquire on a price notification

I'm going to vote for turning the food truck back into an old school food truck. That would be really cool in my opinion.
Hi
Hello
Hi
I thought it was really cool and look great at the beginning of the video. Not so much later on. Would love to see it gone completely through and redone. Could be great!!
Mad Max food truck, that's the way :)
Make it into an offset smoker, the huge stack is already in the back. You see yourself at an event serving onside with chicken, brisket, and the beef and pork ribs, burgers and hotdogs, you would kill it.
I love this if it was mine I would turn it into a r v camper it's worth putting some money into it..
Like the blog type of buys and sells in week there. Got keep flipping 🎉💯💪
It was parked across the street from that station. It was about six months ago I passed by and took pictures. I thought it and the vehicles in the whole town are pretty neat and one of a kind. Small Town Texas gotta love it

Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.
I would either make the food truck a little RV, or use it for promotions and selling merchandise at events
That would make an awesome Harley Hauler! Make the rear flip up for access and just drive them in the back. In the spirit of Ed Roth’s Megacycle. 👍
I would turn that food truck into the coolest motor home. With the body work done nice and painted a gloss black
It would be great as a music truck with speakers in it and cool lighting on and in it . Also cool signs on it too
I would keep the outside pretty much as is on the food truck but rip out the internals, maybe put screens on the inside of the fold out windows and make a cool camper out of it.

Adding a bumper would mean raising the grill, or replacing it, either would be a good idea.
I think that old 64 Chevy truck was mine years ago. It broke down in New Mexico and I left it. I put the 6 cylinder engine in it and drove it from Colorado to Las Vegas in the late 80s.

I think it would make a great camper truck. Something to hang out in and enjoy.
i love COE's, they look trick. First thing I thought when I saw the front end was, 'It needs a dual headlight setup'.
One thing to keep in mind. Those vent hoods - for the cooking exhaust - need to be cleaned about once a week for best performance. Once they get in the kind of condition that

Greasy ol Mexican food, but don't we all love out tacos, burritos, and enchiladas! What a cool ol truck!
Food truck would make a great camper furnished in that period with up to date mod-cons.. Cheers guys...
It would make a killer camper. Love you guys !! Keep up the good work !!!!
The house wiring is for the food equipment on board. Should be a flattop grill, fridge, etc.
Looks like a hearse
Definitely make it as a food truck Make some kill a burgers out of it some sinister hot dogs who knows
I wish I could see more of your videos, you folks have helped me through some stuff
Awesome looking truck.Good luck with it
Maybe put in a roof window all along lengthwise. Could be a cool camping car also. Needs some proper sanitizing. Maybe if some of the big cooking stuff got our it would look even spacier.

Boy, that food truck is a good example of why you should never look at a vehicle in the rain!
Really cool Food truck. Just make it functional. Think it would sell easy. The square body will need quite a bit more. The 64 you flipped quick. Thanks men. Enjoyed the video!
💯👍👊
My vote is for it to be a camper/merch shop (evangelistic tool) for taking to car shows
is it just me or does this need a Cummins or some kind coal rollin Diesel🤣
I wish I could have bought that 64 C10 from y’all. It’s exactly what I’m looking for!
I would cut the roof down the middle and install a skylight for more headroom and light.
You guys have your hands full trying to renovate that thing.
I would make a merch truck out of it. With some shelving built into it. If you keep it open like that you can always easily swap it over to a mobile mechanic truck as well.

Ole boy is slick with that trailer lol
The bus would make a great motorhome, i think as a catering van it will have for a narrow buyers market.
I like the car trailer. That's cool. The '51 & '64 chevy's are cool also.
Amen y’all
JESUS first
Love you guys
Love these big trucks no matter what make they are.
Food truck, Cajun style. You already have many projects done that could work as campers and workshops, but, as of yet, no food trucks. = >X
You could do burgers and hotdogs with fries or turn it into a taco truck. Just keep it basic so you could turn out the food quick. It could be used for special events catering.
I think it a time capsule, it will be fun to see you guys come up with for it.
I’d love to see the food truck turned into a camper/sleeper tow pig
Wow dude that’s cool. Looks night and day different in the rain and then dry lol
Always love you guys, great job picking that food truck,God Bless you all ❤Love Jim J&R mobile service
Be my vote to refurbish the cooking parts and yes have a food truck! Put little sister to work in it!
Notch the back for a Gooseneck Trailer with Tool Storage!
doomsday camper on that old 50s cap over would be cool
I would do a full video of just cleaning it like crazy
Food truck for the shop would be great
Ya'll got one of the coolest trailers ive ever seen!
Food truck!? Umm... no idea, but I'm sure it'll be cool!
What a cool food truck, its a shame about the lack of maintenance and regular cleaning.
The previous owners really dropped the ball on that one
In this condition, it would be a health department FAIL.
Properly maintained, this ol' beast could be a gold mine.
Probably just best to pull all the kitchen equipment out and start over. We'll let the new owner start over.
The beginning is the profile pic you see online, second part is what you get when you meet in person 😂😂.
Man I love that C10..would leave it just as is, maybe clean it up and clear coat it..
Keep as a food truck 🚚 but blitz the inside a really good clean an tidy the out side keep up the great work from James in UK 🇬🇧 👍
That's cool, kind an engine hood inside the driver's cabin in old days Bedford trucks
I'm in the middle of starting my first food truck. I can't afford something like this yet, but this kind of rig would be my dream.
AWSOME VIDEO GUYS A THREE IN ONE VIDEO,, WE LOVED THE 51 FOOD TRUCK ,, BUT MY SON MAX AND I LOVED THE 64 CHEVY OOHH YA!! THANKS,, G D BLESS KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING PEACE...
I think that needs much work to get sorted and the first thing I would do is lift the roof at least 15 inches so you can stand up straight

I had a small food vans prior to covid and the heat was a major issue and we had good cross ventilation
But t still got as hot as hell in there and ours wasn’t black on the outside
That really is a mess on the inside
Good luck you guys 🇦🇺👍👍
This looks like a roach coach that I’ve seen on the corner of Collegiate and Lamar recently. Must be one of several of them.
Would like to see it stay a food truck
That factor is the same stuff they use to serve in some jails we use to prepare/heat it at a building next door then deliver it to the jail
Put it back on the road as a food truck, someone would buy it and make a fortune. Just a lot of steam cleaning and some new equipment. Hand paint it a bright colour.
Always love you guys, great job picking that food truck
I think that is a cab forward unit. As a cab over the entire cab would lift the access the engine from the ground.
Looks like a black, grub super custom build, Cool
I can't wait for the new episode to start
K&N air filter cleaner cut grease like a dream a bit costly though
I like a video that starts with Billy Graham speaking.
Gut the food truck and start over. Fix all the hokey stuff with the body and do the truck right =D
I read a comment further down that said th food truck should be used to sell your merch at events. I think that idea makes the most sense. I might lose the graven images. But it is a sweet build.
My opinion: just mine ... philly steak and cheese (extra sharp cheddar and Valetta cheese) = Oh My Lord! Steak n Cheese sammich is SO GOOD
Yeah that would be cool as a special event catering truck
Neat lookin roach coach..as far as the pickup, Gas Monkey just did a 64 Chevy alsobut they went with a full custom on it with new sheet metal, engine, etc.
Exciting project!!
Omg if I had that I would no longer be homeless that would make a wonderful house
