There are a difference in bass voices, that make them distinct. Geoff Castaluci has wide/ broad bass. Avi Caplan has a smooth velvet bass. Tim Foust has a deep growl bass (dragon breath). Of all the a cappella bands, I prefere Home Free, because of their diverserty. They sing bluegrass (like this song), country, R&B, pop, rock and christian hymns, with the same love for music. They are humble, love their fans, and has a great scense of humor. Their vocals, harmonies and percussion ar world class. They don't have a single lead singer, but they allways choose, who will fit the song best. In "Catch me if you can", Rob (THE BEARD with glases) was the first to try, and the rest said: your song, and didn't even try for the lead. They have a 100% no fail democratic "sing off". Every one of them can sing, and do percussion, but Adam Rupp (percussionist) rarelly sing solo, but does sing harmonies. If you want to hear his voice, then listen to "How great thou art", georgeous tenor. For Tim Foust's bass, listen to "Champagne taste (on a beer budget), or friends ik low places. For (Adam) Chance's baritone, listen to "Cover me up" or "Dive bar saints". For Rob Lundqvist's listen to "Catch me if you can" or "Blue ain't your color". For mor Austin Brown, listen to "When a man loves a woman" or "Crayzy", where he sings in same pitch as Patsy Cline. This is a very talented group, started in 2000, with ,Chris Rupp (not longer a member, but can be seen in older videos) and Adam Rupp.
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. Keep up your journey through Home Free. You will not find a bad song.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of home Free! The reason you may not heard as much of them as Pentatonix, is because after they won season 4 The Sing-Off, they had signed a record contract with Sony but soon realize that it would limit their creative abilities! They later bought their contract out and formed their own label orchard Park which allowed them to Branch out the different genres and schedule different kind of concerts and venues that they were used to. They have played in ryman Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. They have done cooperative works with The oak ridge boys and Elvira, Lee greenwood and I'm proud to be American and also Don McLean. They are held in high esteem in the musical community. I would listen to at least eight songs of the differing types of music that they can sing before I listen to mayday! It is important that you understand their voices before you listen to that song!
Home Free is amazing - You should really listen to their songs “Ring of Fire, (with Avi from PTX)” “Brothers in Arms,” “Mayday,” “One Man Band” “Butts Remix,” “Hillbilly Bone,” and “Elvira” for some real fun! Thanks for the reaction video, as a Home Fry myself I am always glad to see someone finding them for the first time!
They have been active since 2000, and they won the 4th & last season of The Sing-Off in Dec 2013. They have had one member change when Chris Rupp left in May of 2016 and was replaced by Adam Chance in the group. They lean country but sing all genre's. They do a lot of covers but also have originals....I suggest their latest a cover of an old Lee Greenwood hit, "Between a rock & a heartache" which just dropped last Friday. Also their originals, Land of the Free, Dive Bar Saints, Why Not?, Cross that Bridge....more covers.... a collab with Don McLean on the 50th anniversary of his iconic song, American Pie, a collab with the late Kenny Rogers on "Children go where I send thee", and a cover of Old Dominion's 2019 Hit "One-man-band"
Kevin's suggestions are always on point. All I could add is that you really only need to go to their page and pick any song that interests you. They have more covers then originals but it's closer than many think. Hard to find a mediocre HF song.
@@DyvmSlorm I haven't found one yet Mike...there are ones I like better than others but they are always visually & musically made with top-class - the attention to detail is what shocks - they are always on point
Chris/Chance is the only lineup change since they were on the sing off, there were others before that but as most of us have experienced, they’re almost unchanged. There are albums on yt of their stuff with other members, including an album of Disney covers.
Home Fry (Home Free Fan) here. They definitely lean country but they do everything. They do music they love and that means something to them whatever the genre. I fell into the rabbit hole a year ago plus and can't climb out. They have almost 200 videos covers and originals but you can't go wrong with any of them. They are phenomenal. Thanks for a great reaction. I'm going to throw out "One Man Band" as a suggestion for the next song by them.
I agree. You really can't go wrong with reacting to any of their songs. The only one I would suggest waiting for is Mayday. Just become more familiar with the group & the guy's first or you will spoil your own surprise. They are known for their tight harmonies(Helplessly Hoping) and amazing vocal talent. All of them can sing even Adam the beatboxer though he chooses not to most of the time. 1st singer is Austin Brown, high tenor (When a man loves a woman); 2nd singer is Rob Lundquist, smooth R&B tenor(End of the Road); 3rd singer is Tim Foust, super Bass (Everbody walkin' this land). Chance (back left) baritone/bass fantastic voice (Cover me up) and Adam Rupp percussionist extraordinaire. They all get their chance to shine. Great reaction
Their roots certainly lean towards country, but they do it all. Highly recommend their collaboration with Don MacClean on "American Pie". They do both covers and have many originals as well. They even "Rick-rolled" their fans last year on April Fool's Day with cover of "Never Gonna Give You up". The cover of "Unchained Melody" is my personal favorite.
Home Free is in my opinion, the absolute best musical group going. They are all so insanely multi-talented it's crazy. Tim Foust is the super bass with the huge vocal range. Austin Brown is the sky high tenor with a voice strong enough to bend steel, Rob Lundquist is the lower tenor with the voice as sweet and smooth as caramel with some soul thrown in. Adam Chance (Chance) is a superbly talented baritone/bass who was doing the jaw harp in the background. Adam Rupp is the world class, ridiculously talented beat boxer/vocal percussionist, of course, doing the percussion and the "no-monica" as the Home Fries call it when he plays harmonica without an actual harmonica. If you undertake the journey down the Home Free rabbit hole, you will never be disappointed by any music they put out there. Their fan base (Home Fries) are fiercely loyal and there are a great lot of us. They are a country heavy band, but they do any genre you can name and crush it. There are almost 150 of their music videos on You Tube. They choose the leads on songs according to what will serve the song the best. No egos. They are just decent, fun loving guys who appreciate and respect their fans.
Home Free won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 the season after Pentatonix won. They can all sing and are known for tremendous harmonies. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer and is incredible. You can see his video on UA-cam called Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015) to check him out. Tim Foust is the bass who has a 5 octave range so he can sing lower than this and sing up in the attic. Amazing. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own songs and they have a crazy sense of humor. Try Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, End of the Road. They also sing all genres of music. Good reaction!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! These guys don't need instruments, they have an Adam! Found these guys over 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since.
They cover it all! They have originals. To see how each can be showcased: Austin would be When A Man Loves A Woman; Rob would be End of the Road; Chance would be Helplessly Hoping; Tim would be Brothers in Arms; Adam would be Ain’t Going Down (released on FB). Funny side would be Butts Medley or All About That Bass. Beautiful melodic gospel would be How Great Thou Art! They have a lot of beautiful Christmas songs when that season arrives. Can’t stop the feeling is awesome! My favorite original is Land of the Free. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
I'm subbing right now because I absolutely love watching someone new to Home Free react! They all Sing...trading off the lead depending on the song. The bass, Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range..its CRAZY. The beatboxer, Adam Rupp, is a two time National Champion beatboxer. Theres videos of him doing beatbox solos LIVE in their concert. Just to get an idea of their diversity, I suggest an older one, their cover of Boys II Men's "End of the Road" because it will blow your mind! Also, a dan favorite, "Butts Remix". Then there are soooo many more "My Church", "Hillbilly Bone", " Can't Stop the Feeling", and they recently released " Ain't Hoing down til the Sun Comes Up" and " Between a Rock and a Heartache". They were on the SingOff and won also. Theres a video of their performances and I HIGHLY suggest watching it. Especially the 3rd performance, "Ring of Fire", where Tim really shows off his range and blows the judges away.( They later did a version with Avi Kaplan that's good but not as good as the Sing Off version in my opinion. They are multi talented and have a hilarious sense of humor too! Cant wait for more! Thanks so much for a great reaction!
It's always great when someone discovers HF for the first time. Home Fries will subscribe to your channel and go with you on this journey if you choose to do so. See you next time Cheers!
I just subscribed for more HOME FREE Welcome to HOME FREE !! HOME FREE is a county A Capella band (NO INSTRUMENTS) that does more than just country. Tim Foust, the bass (5 octave range) , Adam Rupp, the beatboxer (freak of nature), Adam Chance (Chance) is the baritone/bass, since 2016, he took over for Chris Rupp (one of the founders of the group), Rob Lundquist, tenor and Austin Browmn high tenor make up the voices of angels. PLEASE listen to more.. If I know my Home Free family well (Home Fries) , they have already given you suggestions of music. LOL Thanks for the reaction
Also seconding the recommendations I've seen in here for VoicePlay -- the "theater kids" of a cappella -- though they do a lot of different genres. I especially recommend My Mother Told Me (if you're feeling like a Viking at some point) or Carry On Wayward Son.
I loved your reaction and it is so fun to remember what I thought when I first heard them. I just discovered them about 6 months ago, but I have enjoyed going down the rabbit hole! I have not been disappointed by anything they have done. Please react to more of them! They do a lot of country and a lot of everything else. They are amazing and make my ears so happy! I love the way that different songs allow for different guys to do their thing. Variety is the spice of life! They do lots of covers but have some amazing originals as well. My favorites are numerous, but I really like Helplessly Hoping, Hillbilly Bone, We Just Disagree, My Church, Cover Me Up...
Home Free started out in college in 2000 they were on the 4th season of the Sing Off and won. They lean towards country but do all kinds check out Can’t Stop The Feeling, their latest Between A Rock and A Heartache, for original music Dive Bar Saints, Catch Me If You Can, Land Of The Free just a few for starters. These guys are my favorites
If you react to it, they will come… The Trifecta of A Capella are, Pentatonix, which you said you knew about. Then, there is Home Free, who you are reacting to currently. And then there is Voiceplay, who you need to react to next! Fans of one are generally fans of all 3. NEVER ask us to rank them, because we WON’T!! They are like our children and we love them all. But some days, and some songs, we love one group a little more than the other…until the next one puts out a new song that is…our FAVORITE 😍
And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair. You're about to be buried in Home Fries. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a two-time world champion and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up, and his drum solos. For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome. A basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. For Rob's smooth soul, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) For Austin's soaring tenor, check out Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.) For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Working For A Living, Make You Feel My Love, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. For more of their wonderful collaborations, check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.
LOVED your reaction! Just subscribed for more Home Free! You have no idea what a treat you're in for! Home Free has been around since 2000! The guys in THIS video are all the current members since 2016. One of the co-founders, Chris Rupp (brother of the other co-founder & beat boxer/alien vocal instrument, Adam Rupp) left in 2016 to pursue a solo career. Chris was in all the videos BEFORE 2016 (bald or wore a hat or cap). He was replaced with Adam Chance (called "Chance" to avoid confusion of having 2 Adams). They decided be a "country" a cappella group for the 2013 NBC "Sing Off" but they do EVERY genre to perfection! They won the "Sing Off" the year after PTX won. These guys are incredibly talented, humble, generous, personable & down right goofy, but whatever they do, their vocal performances never suffer! There's no "lead" singer & no egos! They choose the person who's best for each song! Tim Foust is their basso profundo with a 5+ octave range & is one of THE best & lowest bass singers on the planet, but can also sing high tenor! If you want to learn their names, watch "Workin' for a Livin'" first. For covers, their 2 newest "Between a Rock & a Heartache", "Ain't Going Down" (which is on their Facebook page, NOT youtube), "How Great Thou Art", "Folsom Prison Blues", "Brothers in Arms", "End of the Road", "God Bless the USA (featuring Lee Greenwood & US Air Force 'Singing Sergeants')", "In the Blood", "Bless the Broken Road", "Amazed", "Take Me Home Country Roads", "Helplessly Hoping", "When a Man Loves a Woman". Originals "Catch Me If You Can", "Land of the Free", "Dreamer", "Remember This", "Leave This Town, "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget", "Dive Bar Saints"...! That should get you started! There are about 200 videos on youtube! I promise you'll be a Home Fry (HF fans) in no time!😊
Home Fry here (Home Free fan). Loved your reactions to the video I saw first and was immediately hooked by! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole … and Home Fries will come and point the way (but don’t worry, on the whole, we’re a pretty enthusiastic but friendly group🙃). Let’s introduce you to our guys: Front left in the video, we have the silky smoothness of tenor Rob “the beard” Lundquist. His lead in End of the Road is a must-see. I also love him in Bless the Broken Road, Blue Ain’t Your Color, and a bunch of others. Back left is baritone/bass Adam Chance, called Chance due to another Adam in the group. He took over for co-founder Chris Rupp, who left on good terms to pursue other things. Chance is the one doing the mouth harp here. I love his lead in Sea Chanty Medley, Winter Song, One Man Band, and Brothers in Arms - a fantastic tribute to troops and an absolute must see! Center is the high tenor, the fabulous Austin Brown. When A Man Loves a Woman. That’s all that needs to be said. Seriously. Back right is founding member Adam “freak of nature” Rupp, tenor/beatboxer/vocal percussionist. He has several good drum solos, and to see his genius for arrangement, Do You Hear What I Hear, which (in my opinion) also showcases them individually and blending as a group. In that video, you also see Chris Rupp. I highly recommend Ain’t Goin Down (Til the Sun Comes Up), which is only on Facebook due to some kind of copyright issue (but you can react to it on YT). It is amazing. Last, but not least, front right, basso profundo with a 5+ octave range: Tim Foust, who is apparently part dragon. His range, control, and breath support on his low notes is out of this world. He co-leads in Brothers in Arms. You should also check the collaboration with Avi Kaplan (former PTX bass) in Ring of Fire. I also love him in Hillbilly Bone, The Butts Remix (which should be watched for comedic value alone!), All About the Bass, and Champagne Tastes (which he wrote). There are several videos of “Uncle Tim Runs His Mouth” or “Story Time With Tim” that are pretty funny and worth watching. To see their amazing harmonies, see How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping, Mary Did You Know, and (again) Brothers in Arms. I also recommend Tim’s collaboration with Peter Hollands in Misty Mountains. One tip: don’t watch Mayday until you’ve seen several videos and know the guys and their usual roles. 😉 These guys switch leads depending on who they think will be the best. They have no egos, and collaborate with other groups/artists frequently. They lean country, but obviously do many styles of music. They are amazing, talented artists and genuinely nice, funny, down to earth people, too. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. It’s deep, but you’ll never want to escape!
Just subbed. Home Free sings multiple genres. Tim Foust (bass) has a five octave range. Adam Rupp is a two-time world beatboxer champion. Adam, along with his brother Chris, founded the group in 2000. Adam also has a beautiful singing voice. Chris embarked on his solo career in 2016 and that's when Adam Chance "Chance" joined the group. If you really want to hear Adam's "nomonica" you should watch "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up". Adam also has drum solo videos. You can hear Tim's higher range in a few Home Free videos, but he also has his own channel where you can watch "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" and "My Maria" with Austin Brown. Austin Brown was the first to sing in the video you just watched. You haven't even scratched the surface of what is Home Free. As for me, Pentatonix and Voice Play can't compare. Enjoy your journey.
Adam Rupp is Home Free's vocal percussionist--the best on the planet!! Just check out his drum solo videos and Home Free's cover of "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up". Tim Foust is a true bass profundo. Check out Home Free's cover of "Ring of Fire" (not the official video--their "Sing Off" version showcases them even better). There are too many who hear the word "country" and bypass Home Free altogether--a really unnecessary negative bias. In this song they are making a distinct southern (bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. If actors were to do this they'd be given accolades, but far too many people don't give HF the respect or props they deserve for their incomparable expertise (full sound and harmonies=acapella that most people don't recognize as such). HF are far too underappreciated for the WIDE range of genres they cover. I challenge you to react to more of Home Free, especially their newer videos, if you want to build your channel. React to Home Free music and the *Home Fries* to flock to it 😉
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th rule is don't listen to 'Mayday' until after about 7 or 8 songs. Their newest song is an original, "Between a Rock and a Heartache"
The first lead singer was Austin Brown, the group heartthrob who can hit D6. The second was Rob Lundquist, whose voice is silky smooth. Bass Tim Foust can reach anything between A0-A5. Bass-baritone Adam "Chance" was the bass in his last group. Beatboxer Adam Rupp is the group's last original member, and has a degree in trumpet performance. He has several "drum solo" vids, any of which will blow your mind.
This video was also my introduction to Home Free about 10-11 months ago. Most people know this song from the George Clooney movie O Brother Where Art Thou. The jews harp sound that begins and ends this one is done by Chance, the one in the black vest. The harmonica (or nomonica if you will) is done by Adam Rupp, last founding member of the group and beatboxer extraordinaire. Check out Home Free Drum Solo (he's wearing the red plaid shirt in the original one of three or four videos). The latest one is Adam Rupp Beatbox/Drum Solo from 2021.
We're called Home Fries!!!😄And you're going to love them too!!😃Tim Foist is the incredible bass your hearing!!😄the Butts Medley next please!!thanks✌out!
That’s Adam Rupp one of the best beatboxers ever and one of the founding members with his brother Chris Rupp who has since left the group of Home Free. Austin Brown tenor 1, Rob Lundquist guy with beard and glasses tenor 2, Tim Foust bass profundo he has a 5 octave range, and Adam Chance called Chance to avoid confusion with the other Adam also a bass. To see more of their individual ranges listen to the song Mayday by them, you will get more of an appreciation of their ranges. They do many genres of music from country to gospel to opera, truly an amazing group! Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free!
Just subbed for more Home Free. They are my favorite group.....I love everything they do and any song you pick is gonna be fantastic! I'm sure my fellow Home Fries have gave you many suggestions so I will just look forward to the next one!
Home Free is the only Country a cappella vocal group. There is really no 'lead' vocalist, it depends on who sound better in the song (or verse). Here, it was Austin Brown, from Georgia. He has a musical theater background and there are a few songs where he goes back to that training and loses the Southern from his voice (see his wonderful solo number "Bring Him Home"). The bass is Tim Foust, with a 5+ octave range. He's been know to blow out speakers. Adam, the beatboxer, started the group in 2000 with his brother Chris and a couple of friends. They were in the Sing-Off and won the 4th season (December 2013) the season after Pentatonix (December 2011). You can find their videos from there on YT, check the ones with the judges commentary. Chris left early 2016 and Chance joined up. Some many great videos, some serious, some funny, some covers, some originals. Tim wrote Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget and its sequel Full of Cheer. Check those out too.
I always recommend starting with their Sing Foo Season 4 performances with the intros and judges remarks to learn more about them and you'll learn who sings what and their names... they all sing, although Adam (beatboxer) does so rarely but has a beautiful tenor voice. Then start at the bottom of their playlist on their YT page and work your way up... you'll be able to see just how much they have grown into what they are now which is PHENOMINAL!!!!!
Great reaction and welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. They do all genre. Wait until you get a feel for each van member’s vocal range before you do their cover of May Day. We Home Fries will let you know when you are ready. Tim who sings bass has been know to blow out speakers
You've just fallen down the Home Free rabbit hole...prepare for a fantastic journey. This group has been around since 2000, and this five have been together since 2016. Home Free has over 200 videos doing a variety of genres. The bass is Tim Foust who has right at six octaves and yes he vibrates the building. For a couple of suggestions, Boyz2Men cover of End of the Road, When a Man Loves a Woman, Blue Ain't Your Color, How Great Thou Art (no beatboxing and Adam sings tenor. ), Helplessly Hoping is incredible and their Butts Medley is great fun. Just keep on with Home Free and Home Fries will come... I'm sure it is the same for us all...we love to see people reacting to their music and love it as much as we do. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!!
Just subbed because of the joy on your face while you listened to HomeFree! Great reaction - look forward to more - heading over to check out the other stuff on your channel
I recommend you watch Home Free Adam Rupp (beatboxer) live drum solo ( the one where he's wearing a red flannel shirt) you'll see beatboxing in a whole new way
For pure harmony try "Helplessly Hoping" or "Brothers In Arms" ... not a country note there ... they sing both originals and covers ! Home Free guys love their fans and really enjoy being together ... it shows in everything they do !
Great reaction! I loved how you caught the fact that Adam Rupp can make any sound he wants whether it's possible or not. I also loved that you said my name right in the middle of his "nomonica" solo! LOL
They do it all. This is a cover. Check out their cover of End of the Road, Ring of fire, When a man loves a woman, and their original Catch me if you can to start. You won’t be sorry!
Great reaction! I love it when people discover Home Free. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
Wow - where have you been hiding??? Home Free has been around quite a while since 2000, but look out if you decide to travel down this road...like the song..."you can check out anytime you like but you can NEVER leave... The do all genres so don't let the country sound convince you that's all they do... The Home Fries will be your friend along this journey if you let them direct you!!! Enjoy! RichieC (Atlanta Home Fry)
Do a search of Home Free on you tube. You will find lots and everything they do is a notch above the rest. I think I've heard the term "country pop" used in describing them. I love everything they do but Man of Constant Sorrow is one of my favorites. I can't believe you hadn't heard of them. You won't forget them now! LOL! ❣HOME FREE FOREVER❣
Okay, I am along for the ride down the rabbit hole with you. Do not be surprised when your subs and likes jump while on this journey. Every one of them can sing like angels with amazing ranges and they all can beatbox ( but Adam Rupp is the KING) For a good contrast try Helplessly Hoping or How Great Thou Art , then switch it up with a Butt's medley or Hillbilly Bone.
The Big Three a cappella groups are Pentatonix, Home Free, and Voice Play. STRONG recommend for you to react to Voice Play - Hoist the Colors. It's mind-blowing.
Home Free covers many genre's and they do have original songs. Mostly the covers they do are better than the originals and have a flavor to them that can only come from Home Free. The home fries are going to swarm you, especially if you continue on this HF journey. Home Fries are the best fans! I will be watching for more HF and will sub if you do more. Best acapella group out there imho. They are truly great humans and there are no ego's. They love what they do, love their fans and we love them for it! Home Fry for life!
New sub here, be waiting for more HF reactions. After looking at other Home Fries suggestions I won't list anymore for ya. Just do them all to be on the safe side, they're all great songs. Believe me, you'll be amazed by all the songs they do!!!
Great reaction and so pleased to see your face make all the same looks I did when I first saw this!! Yes, Tim Foust is the deep voice -- if you like that you can see him with Peter Hollens on Misty Mountain from The Hobbit. It's crazy 🤪
Strongly recommend you react to their cover of Ring of Fire next. Avi Kaplan joined them for this one. You WILL be BLOWN AWAY by Tim Foust's final, 13 second bass note‼️
Adam Chance or just "Chance" was the one doing the Mouth Harp, by "Throat Singing". If you look up throat singing on UA-cam you will see examples and tutorials. Adam Rupp is the award winning Beatboxer. For your next Home Free song, try their cover of Johnny Cash's song "Ring Of Fire". They feature Avi Kaplan former Bass singer of Pentatonix, who you know. Tim Foust and Avi both doing bass takes this song to the next level. Adam Rupp goes through the whole drum kit on this one. I think you'll really enjoy it!
Home Free is pretty awesome. Plenty of people that know more about them will give you great songs of theirs to react to. For a low bass singer, I recommend Geoff Castellucci - Sixteen Tons.
My personal favorite is 'Dreamer', an original from their nearly all originals cd 'Dive Bar Saints'. I think it best to listen to their songs first and then watch the video with the song afterward. There are very, very few songs that you won't want to listen to many times over. I suggest waiting on "Brothers in Arms' and 'Winter Song' until you've listened to some other ones. Break yourself in with 'Hillbilly Bone' and others that have been suggested below. 'End of the Road' and several others are definitely not country.
Good morning i am a new subscriber and look forward to seeing your journey! And hello to my fellow Home Fries! So exciting to find a home free virgin to the amazing Home Free!! You have told him just about everything I would want to! One of the best videos ever in my opinion is Go rest high on the mountain! Kudos to Darren rust the producer and everyone else behind the scenes they are all amazing!
Check out their How Great Thou Art, My Church, Champagne Taste, Blue Ain't Your Color, Crazy. Also Tim's Come Go With Me and Misty Mountain. The sound you hear at the beginning and the end is a jaw harp sound.
Oh yessir!! They’re dope! My personal preference of a capella group is Voiceplay, but that’s because they’re more playful with their videos. These guys are definitely grittier, and Voiceplay is more… polished? That’s not the word I’m looking for but I can’t find it and that one fits in it’s place for now lol. The bass singer in Voiceplay (Geoff) is impossibly low. There’s a note he hits in Oogie Boogie’s Song that makes no possible sense. And to finish off my novel, since you clearly enjoy the harmonica vocal, I think you’d absolutely love Grand Beatbox Battle. The beat boxers are so insane. A good starter video is ‘Top 10 SOLO Drops 2019’ by GBB. They get ridiculous. Plus there’s a dude in the audience whose reactions are spectacular. He’s actually a crazy beatboxer as well (his name is BBK) but man his faces are fantastic. You’ll know it when you see it lol
NEW SUB. SOME HOW MY COMMENT GOT LOST SO A RE-WRITE. HOME FREE HAS BEEN ACTIVE SINCE 2000 WHEN CHRIS AND ADAM RUPP FORMED THE GROUP UNDER DIFFERENT MEMBERS. THE CURRENT LINE-UP CHANGED WHEN CHRIS LEFT TO PERSUE A SOLO CAREER AND CHANNEL. ALL HAVE THEIR OWN CHANNELS AS WELL AS A GROUP CHANNEL. THEY HAVE AN EXTENSIVE CATALOGUE OF BOTH COVERS AND ORIGINALS. THEY ARE COUNTRY BUT DO OTHER GENRES WITH A COUNTRY TWANG, WHICH THEY CAN'T HELP SINCE CHANCE IS FROM ALABAMA, TIM FROM TEXAS AND AUSTIN IS FROM GEORGIA ROB AND ADAM RUPP IS FROM MINNESOTA.THEY WON SEASON FOUR OF THE SING-OFF [YOU CAN SEE THE SHOW FOR EACH SEASON ON YOU TUBE. VOICE PLAY WAS ALSO ON SEASON FOUR WITH HOME FREE. THEY DID A VIDEO COLLAB OF HILLBILLIES VS ZOMBIES/SURVIVOR SEASON THREE PENTATONIX WON. SEASON TWO WAS A GROUP CALLED STREET CORNER SYMPHONY WHERE THEY GOT ADAM CHANCE WHO REPLACED CHRIS. SEASON ONE THERE WAS A 15 MEMBER GROUP FROM U. OF OREGON CALLED ON THE ROCKS WHERE A SOLO ACAPELLA/COLLAB NAMED PETER HOLLENS WAS FROM. ADAM THE BEATBOXER DOES THE HARMONICA IN OTHER SONGS AND HE ALSO SINGS WHEN THE GROUP DOES 5 PART HARMONIES. WHEN YOU DO HOW GREAT THOU ART THEY WERE IN THE AUSTRIAN ALPS AND ADAM HAS A SINGING SOLO IN IT. ADAM CHANCE IS CALLED CHANCE TO AVOID TWO ADAMS CONFUSION. CHECK OUT ADAM RUPP'S DRUM SOLO OF 2016 AND THE MOST CURRENT. TIM THE BASS HAS BEEN KNOWN TO BLOW SUBWOOFERS. IF YOU FIND CONCERT VERSIONS OF WHAT THEY DID IN VIDEOS, WHEN THEY DO THEM IN CONCERTS, THEY ADD SOMETHING SPECIAL TO THEM. TIM ALSO JUST RECENTLY RELEASED A SOLO ALBUM CALLED PIECES OF ME WHERE HE SINGS ALL THE VOCAL PARTS OF 50/60'S ACAPELLA CALLE DOO WOP. THE ALBUM IS NOT ON YOU TUBE YET THAT I COULD FIND, BUT A REACTOR BY THE CHANNEL NAME "THAT SINGER" DID THE WHOLE ALBUM IN ONE REACTION
I think the best way to describe Adam is a "vocal percussionist." He does more than traditional beatboxing. If you haven't heard it yet, you should check out his live drum solo. There are a few out there. All the guys beatbox to some degree. You should check out their live concert video of 9 to 5 with the beatboxing breakdown. There is also a video of Tim breaking the speakers at a live outdoor concert.
Hold onto your hat! you’ve got quite a rabbit hole to go into with home free!! Listen to American pie with Don McLean Where each band member gets a chance to shine!!
They are mainly country but they can do and do anything. They are all so extremely talented. They can't do a bad song.
PLEASE! go down this rabbit hole!!! You have NO idea!!
They never miss on a song
Also when a man loves a woman home free
Home Fry (Home Free Fan) here. They definitely lean country but they do everything. They do music they love and that means something to them whatever the genre. I fell into the rabbit hole a year ago plus and
can't climb out. They have almost 200 videos covers and originals but you can't go wrong with any of them. They are phenomenal. Thanks for a great reaction. I'm going to throw out "One Man Band" as a suggestion for the next song by them.
Yes April, I couldn't agree more! Home Free - these are five uniquely talented guys that you just have to love.
Can’t get out due to lack of initiative?
@@davelister2 lack of desire....fell in willingly and never even looked for a way out and am in forever.
I agree, LOVE HOME FREE! THEYRE AMAZING! LISTEN TO THEM!
More Home Free please, each one of them is incredibly talented, Thanks ❤️
I came for Home Free, I’ll come back as long as it takes to get through all they have… you won’t ever be disappointed!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole.
These Awesome guys have over 170 videos here on UA-cam…..all genres ‼️.
Then there are soooo
many more "My Church", "Hillbilly Bone", " Can't Stop the Feeling", and they recently released " Ain't Hoing down til the Sun Comes Up" and " Between a Rock and a Heartache".
I just subscribed for more HOME FREE
Welcome to HOME FREE !!
Love the mouthonica
I love their "Brothers In Arms" and "In the Blood".
More Home free please!! Thank you.
One of my favorites. Love this group.
If you react to it, they will come…
The Trifecta of A Capella are, Pentatonix, which you said you knew about.
(Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.)
For Austin's soaring tenor, check out Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.)
For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Working For A Living, Make You Feel My Love, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget.
For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
(Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.”
You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.
Great reaction. This "Home Fry" just subscribed for more Home Free. You're going to love this rabbit hole. Us Home Fry's" will flock to your channel.
Let’s introduce you to our guys:
Front left in the video, we have the silky smoothness of tenor Rob “the beard” Lundquist.
These guys switch leads depending on who they think will be the best.
React to Home Free music and the *Home Fries* to flock to it 😉
Subbed for more Home Free!
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th rule is don't listen to 'Mayday' until after about 7 or 8 songs. Their newest song is an original, "Between a Rock and a Heartache"
This was a cover of a Garth Brooks song.
@@bobemch5614 My apologies. I was unaware of that.
This a cover of a Lee Greenwood song. The Garth Brooks cover they did was AINT GOING HOME TILL THE SUN COMES UP
@@bobemch5614 Actually "Between a Rock & a Heartache" is an old Lee Greenwood song. "Ain't Going Down Til the Sun Comes Up" is the Garth original!
@@usmadgirl3074 Yes, I realized it after I replied earlier. Thanks
The 1st HF song I listened to!! Probably listened to it 1000 times now! They are the best of the best! Any genre! Ty for reacting!
150 and counting videos - have fun...............no instruments - all with their voices.
Subscribed for the rabbit hole. They do all music...covers and original.
Homefree does all genres....you name it!
❤Home Free
They can do any genre. Mostly country. The bass is TimFoust he has a 5 octive range
We Home Fries say Adam swallowed a drum kit.
Best Acapela group on the planet!
HF has officially been around since 2000
They sing all genre's.
Check out their covers of Unchained Melody....Brothers in Arms.
Definitely not country.
Or End of The Road.
Welcome to the incredible world of Home Free! I have subscribed and can't wait to relive my excitement for them through your upcoming reactions!
Lol if you haven't, Voiceplay doing the Halo theme is 👌 Scott Porter is a separate beatboxer that joined in for this.
LOL
Thank you ^_^
They do it all. This is a cover. Check out their cover of End of the Road, Ring of fire, When a man loves a woman, and their original Catch me if you can to start. You won’t be sorry!
Oh yeah, I'm digging your style! And I'm here for all the new Home Free journeys. Subscribed!
The weird noise at begin and end is sound jews harp mouth harp. Adam Chance the one in dark vest . Did that noise .
Just subbed for more Home Free! Lots of great suggestions already... you can't go wrong with any of them!
They won the Sing Off in 2014.
As a second choice you should definitely do 'My Heart Will Go On'.
I knew you would appreciate this ! I will let their fans, the "Home Fries" give you all the details you need to know about this group...lol..
Check out Adam Rupp drum solo to see his true beat box skills
Adam Rupp he is the beat boxer percussion. He can also sing harmony
To learn their names check out Working for a Living To see them all beatbox watch the live version of 9 to 5 live
New sub here! You're funny, I'll be coming back. Looking forward to more Home Free! Thanks!
Adam Rupp is the beat boxer. He does a "drum solo" - it's a must see/hear...
The bass Tim Foust can sing 5 octaves. You've got to check out their song MayDay
Not yet yes check it out but not yet he's not ready for that one yet
I think the best way to describe Adam is a "vocal percussionist." He does more than traditional beatboxing. If you haven't heard it yet, you should check out his live drum solo. There are a few out there.
All the guys beatbox to some degree. You should check out their live concert video of 9 to 5 with the beatboxing breakdown.
There is also a video of Tim breaking the speakers at a live outdoor concert.
CK out Ain't Going Down Til the Sun Comes Up. A Garth Brooks cover. It's on their FB page.
Check out home free ain't goin down garth brooks cover
7:25 very good Jmax lmao
Oh why thank you hahaha
Hold onto your hat! you’ve got quite a rabbit hole to go into with home free!! Listen to American pie with Don McLean Where each band member gets a chance to shine!!
please react to their Boyz to Men cover, "End of The Road".....think you'll like it.
