Bro, you saved me some $$. I was greasing my front joints and rotating my hubs on my 2014 Super Duty and decided to look up since I had the wheel turned and could get in behind the wheel well. My line was resting on the top of the strut mount with no chaff loom. The chaff loom, over time, creeped back, with the front zip tie still tight, so far that I thought there was a “T” joint in the line (the loom rose over the wheel fender where I couldn’t see). While I was scratching my head off why there would be a tee in this line, I rotated the loom and saw what it did. I pulled the loom straight and repositioned the line and secured the loom. Thanks for the tip! Wish I could post pics.

I had an AC line chafe on my 01, 7.3. It was routed underneath the coolant degas bottle. To this day, I’m constantly looking for wire looms, and lines routed poorly from the factory. That same line on my 15, 6.7 was touching the upper coil spring support. I addressed it with some 3/4” corrugated split loom. I love that stuff, it’s like Franks Red Hot, I put that shit on everything. Michigan roads really did a number on that line. They’ll be back next week for ball joints, and tie rods. Arod serving’em up, over at Billy Brown Fleet Care. As always game tight repair.

I have done a number of those liquid lines. I work on a fleet of F550’s. Most have had main radiator replacement. Some warranty and some not. My thought was that possibly previous mechanics most likely “saved time” by not taking the condenser out when removing the two radiators. (Leaving condenser lines attached and slightly bending out of the way). My opinion.
I always take the right front wheel off when removing inner fender liner. Making the job much easier. Probably taking more time to get jack and stands. IDK.
Just how I do it. (I’m a medium/heavy truck guy so these wheels are a lot smaller than 11/22.5 and 315’s I’m used to.). Lol.
Love your videos and work ethic. 👍

The problem I had with my a/c was a sensor in the evaporator area that would intermittently cut the compressor off . Never knew when it was going to do it , dealership finally figured it out . It sucked during 100 degree days . It would act up and then wouldn’t do it for weeks or days at a time .I drove 30 miles with it not working and when I pulled into dealership service bay it started working.

Once again Great Video and A Rod to the rescue. This exact thing happened to my 2014 F550. Question for you, is there any torque specs for the nuts holding the connections?

I went out to check mine (16' King Ranch) and mine is perfectly positioned. I also double checked the plastic positioning clip on fender well liner and it's good.
I wonder if theirs failed, didn't appear that way. Someone may have pulled that liner before and didnt see clip and pulled or just left it and let it hang on it. The world may never know!

Just had my 2011 fixed with this same issue! Must be an install or line bending issue from the factory. The new replacement line was way more far away than the original.

I checked mine not sure yet if rubbed through. I’m hoping since I checked and no pressure in system. If worn through then eliminate other stuff.

Thankfully mine is on the inside of the fender shield along the frame rail, Being that my F250 is a gas version 2008 model but thank you for getting my attention on this
All a person has to do to fix the problem is to get a large Zip tie and secure the line to the inter cooler pipe thats next to it and also put a shield guard around that condenser line as well and problem solved if it hasn't chaffed through all ready...

I don't know yet I'm just looking around yt for all Normal failure points And then I will crawl underneath And see what i find. I truly hope this is the issue Versus the Compressor clutch Leaving a racing stripe around the front of the engine, And me having to evacuate the system.

I wonder what or who inadvertently caused that! No way it's been like that from build date. Steel vs aluminum, would have eaten thru that line in no time.

I checked, and mine clears by 3/8”. However, my cab mount bushings are shot/gone. I’m wondering if replacing them will lift the cab/firewall enough to cause rubbing there? Thanks for the heads up

Well crap took a look at my 2012. And it's not up against the body. But there is a little evidence that it did rub a little bit. So tomorrow project will be placing a rubber hose to the line to make sure it won't rub again.

Off topic here but do you have any suggestions as to why some of the newer Superduties have greasable steering components and some of the same year don't? My 2020 Powerstroke CCLB 4x4 doesn't have any zirks on the steering components yet I have found youtube vids of other 2020's that do. The only components on my 2020 that does have zirks are the front half shalf u-joints. TIA.
