I made mine a necromancer for my "horroritas" army. Replaced the sister on the grounds head with a skull and made some osl magic effects etc. Managed to win a Halloween painting competition with it against a horde of zombies, skellies, vampires...
I love the idea of blending the Bloodborne aesthetic with the Sisters! Maybe sculpting little tri-pointed hats might give some of that flavour? Lore-wise, I know you mentioned the Sisters fighting a Greater Demon of Khorne in the video, what if this covenant specifically hunted Khornate forces? They could be "Hunters of the Blood-born" 😛
Yay! More Jen Sister's Content! Love the concept for the custom Army! Also like the idea of them searching for lost relics in abandoned cities where you never know what may be lurking in the shadows....
Loving the paint scheme for your Sisters. Seeing your Knight conversion and overall aesthetic inspired me to start collecting an army of my own. I look forward to seeing your dark Gothic paint scheme for the battle-line troops, because I decided that my army would show rank based on how much white was present in their model. Celestine has been painted in white armor and as the ranks go downward, the troops become more focused on black armor with white cloth. Battle Sisters have almost all black armor with white tabards and I found some conversion STLS for Sister Superiors, Palatines, and Canonesses that adds flowing Tunics/Kirtles to the armor to show more of the pure white, accented by the red of the purity seals that covers more of the black armor as they gain ranks. I would love to see some reveals of the army as a whole to get a vibe of your aesthetic so far.
This is one of my favourite TTT videos. Love the customisation and work you’ve done on these, and where they’re going. I think penitent engine on an amazing cathedral base in a dramatic pose could be great!
Looks great! The final colour scheme kinda reminded me how the Order of Our Martyred Lady originally looked like in the 2nd edition. They had black armour and black robes with red lining. Seems kinda fitting if your Covenant is a sub-faction of the order :) Can't wait to see more!
As someone who also enjoys medieval times and incorporating that fantasy/sci-fi fusion, I’ve begun a custom Space Marine Chapter that is based on Anglo-Saxon Varangian Guards. I absolutely love your sisters concept and bringing that into fruition! phenomenal work!!
Fantasy meeting Scifi is one of my favorite things about this hobby. Really like the vibes of these ladies, whether they're hunting monsters, relics, or both. Very dope.
I recently got into war hammer and have only recently built my first few models but I’m really excited to try customizing and kit bashing. Excited to see what you’ve come up with for this conversion
Amazing work, Jen! Your sisters look fantastic! I absolutely love the use of the mood board and sketches you do. It is a great example of how to go into a kitbash or theme for a build the right way!
I love the idea of your Covenant and look forward to seeing how it progresses. As far as leaning into the bloodborne grimdark themes, I have some ideas. First, Cursed city buts seem 100% helpful for kitbashing. Second, maybe could try a torch lit osl project, and really make the areas not in the light quite dark. Finally, in blood borne one of the coolest bosses to me is Vicar Amelia. If you had a unit inspired by her, either with sisters who are mixed with werewolves (Maybe arcoflagellents) or having those torn white shawls and bandages I think would be awesome. Just some ideas take what you like and continue showing us your creative journey. Great stuff Jenn!
Would be really funny to have all tabletop time cast members to have a 1v1v1v1. So bloodborne sisters vs spacebears vs weird king arthur space marines.. and what army does Murray have?
I've had my Escher Gang for a few year now but yet to put them together as I can't settle on a colour scheme let alone names. The creativity of this idea is nuts.
I am in that spot. For just about all these models. The only models I find I can paint are gifts for others, or models that don't matter, like a DnD tortle shaman, for example was painted before I can even make one decision one my sylvaneth or custom primarch chapter
Love this! Hope to see more soon. Lore wise, I imagine a force rooting out a GSC trying to save a hive city afflicted by a "curse" could fit the bloodborne esthetic. I think the arival of "The Old Ones" would be pretty evocative.
Love it. To do good wax seals with greenstuff that are small, roll a small ball, then take a small nail or needle with a head, and press down the head in the middle, coat the tools and needle with lip balm, water, food oil and the green stuff won't stick. I'm trying to get the same "grim dark feel" to my inquisition, and have to use so many different sprues from different armies and tons of greenstuff to get the feel. Love how you get the sisters armor to be black with definition without making it look dusty, hope to see more of it, think this style is what made me like warhammer, and its sad that not more of imperial faction has more of this gothic stylisation, though it makes our hobby so much more then just painting miniatures.
Great to see you take the next step with these sisters and seeing you keep pushing yourself. The results look great and would really go well with a diorama stand. Hoping to see more of your sisters in the near future!
They should hunt monstrosities being a bloodborne theme, hunting orcs creatures of the warp ect... Or you could make somee members of the crowfeather or the hunter of hunters and have them hunt corrupted space marines
What a great video. Creating a mood board is definitely undervalued. Also great to see the process. Great work Jen! Looking forward to the first battle report.
This is super cool! I love the choice of nmm - I think that very painterly, wet blended look suits the sisters of battle minis perhaps more than any others in the 40k range, giving them that stained glass window appearance. One thing I was thinking with the second mini/future additions was maybe sanding off the power cabling on the sword blade? I think the medieval-looking weapons are a great part of the mixed aesthetic so minimising the more overtly scifi parts might help with that! Overall, very excited to see more, and I think you did a great job with the narration, your excitement for this project really shone through 😊
Bravo on all of you developing custom units. NGL looking forward to reveal of the Murray's Arthurian . For the whole gothic vibe you have I like the idea of investigators or inquisition proxies, tracking down myths or artifacts.
These look great! You may have already talked about this in a previous video, but I would love to see the tools you guys use in the videos. ie. what paints you use, brushes and their sizes, painting handles, spray paint, green stuff, lighting, etc. and how you use these tools in your miniature painting and conversions.
The idea of relic hunting fits the medieval. Think Knights Templar, they rode around collecting and protecting holy relics for the church. They could also just be the army/city guards of some of the oldest hive cities in the universe, using the medieval look as a homage to the history of man probably only remembered or honoured in these ancient cities. Whatever the lore is, the minis are looking amazing Jen.
Awesome army and paint scheme, can’t want to see these sisters in on the custom cathedral you made a while ago. Maybe some of the more recent Cities of Sigmar kits would be helpful for kitbashing to help blend the sci fi and fantasy themes. Either way so excited to see more of Jenn’s work!!
I would certainly lean into the relic hunters idea when it comes to lore, so many great ideas you could use there. And lots of inspiration from movies and TV shows!
If you are modding and struggling with Green Stuff, look up Aves Apoxie Sculpt. It's another 2 part epoxy clay, but many people who try it find it easier to work than green stuff, and it comes in much larger tubs and is cheaper as well. Nice work, quite inspiring for me.
*B L O O D B O R N E!* Edit: WTF IS THIS MUSIC?! It’s a BLOODBORNE conversion, not a Ultramarine conversion! (I still love this video!) Edit 2: THERE IT IS!! Also, “A Hunter must hunt.”
Yes! Low-tech medieval Sisters are great. My own Sisters come from a shrine world far away from Imperial supply routes, so they don’t often get to use bolters and flamers. Instead, they heavily favor glorious melee combat, as the Emperor intended! The Bloodborn inspiration should be fun, can’t wait to see how gothic they get!
Yes please on more of Jenn's Sisters! I love kitbashing and I literally picked up a Reliquant at Arms just the other day :D Can't wait to see what you come up with for this Covenant you're creating!
Using one of the penitent engines or paragon war suits for a lightly cleric beast themed unit would look incredible although using Vicar Amelia as an inspiration might make a bit more sense.
I would say there's a lot of lore potential for this Covenant, especially if you're willing to mix in some Bloodborne lore. Imagine: a planet orbiting a white dwarf star. The pale light of its former sun bleach the blackened surface of volcanic rocks and dead vegetation. Amid the dust storms and howling gales, an imposing iron shrine church stands defiant amid a rusting former colony. The windows glow with bright candlelight and illuminate a giant golden Imperial Aquilla along its face. Silently, figures dressed in black and blue, carrying black candelabras, glide through the remains of the colony, to and fro from the shrine, and without a sound, step onto several Stormhawks that have landed nearby. The pack grox are restless, and the Guardsmen are quiet. This planet is cursed, but its wardens have been called to action. Whispers among the Guardsmen scurry by in hushed tones, carrying with them speculation and rumor. Some tell of these Sisters being bound by blood or soul to this place, like the planet holds them here. Others speak of a race of xenos that survive on this blasted rock so terrifying, they can drive you insane by the mere sight of them, and they are attracted to noise. Yet another claims that there is a vault the shrine was built over; one that stretches deep into the heart of this world and filled with creatures of unimaginable power that spill forth from the Warp, leaving the Sisters here the only line of defense to purify and keep the corruption at bay. In the shadow of the lone orbiting moon, the Stormhawks take flight to the Dauntless class cruiser in orbit. Wherever these Sisters go, they face a mighty challenge only they are truly prepared for. The blackest horrors of the Warp seek to worm their way into the Imperium's worlds, using black magicks and deceit any way they can. They twist reality at will, cleave even the mighty Astartes in two with a single swipe of their fetid claws and speak the gentlest, most cunning of lies. In silence, they stand watch. By flame, bolter and steel, they strike them back. The Covenant's vigil stands eternal, a hidden dagger of the Inquisition. The darkest of daemons gather, and the Sisters will suffer them not.
Oh this is sick. I love it! Great job with the green stuff btw. I really need to try to work with it more myself. I've wanted to make like a naval uniform kind of coat for a Tzaangor for ages.
For the lore, given the Bloodborne inspiration you could say they're a group that was loaned out to the Ordo Hereticus to hunt down horrible monsters and since returning have become the first in line to take on any monstrosity your main force is tasked to deal with or something like that. They look really good, I look forward to seeing the full force when it's done.
Way I see it you can have the following as their main themes if you want to follow medieval knightly orders you can have: Hospitalliers- warriors of the faith that bring healing to his faithful. (Hospitaliers) An order that protects pilgrims- maybe more geared towards naval warfare and boarding actions in 40k.(Templar) An order designed to help hold a certain region.(Santiago) A super aggressive crusader order.(Teutonics) A cursed order- all of its members have a horrific affliction but they are stalwart in their faith (Saint Lazarus(which was made up of lepers, although they did know how to treat and deal with it, but it was apparently terrifying for their enemies) Alternatively you could have demon hunters, witch hunters, Monster slayers. - protecting his faithful. Hell you could even have a ravenguard like equivelent. Those that infiltrate fallen worlds to recover holy relics.
You can make all your custom Sororitas veterans/survivors of Battle of Ophelia VII during the 13th Black Crusade. Order of Our Martyred Lady lost 50% of their forces at the time defending their homeworld. I personally have my OooML Veterans/Celestians painted in the old 2nd Edition color scheme which is all black with a white trim on their cloaks and tabards with a red inner lining. It would make sense that survivors of the Battle of Ophelia VII have more trinkets and custom armor among other things. Also all of Blanche’s art are from the 2nd edition codex. I mean it’s my excuse why my Order of Our Martyred Lady army has their own custom Imperial Knights House.
They look awesome. If you want another idea for a more bloodborn look, since the game is set in a Victorian-industrial setting, maybe adding buttons or cloths surrounding the legs. There are many other options but those are the one I could come up with.
i’m a big fan of the old codex witch hunters, i think you could draw inspiration from that and say that the Covenant is a specialist group with greater ties to the inquisition. Acting perhaps as pseudo acolytes or just a more independent band, they could work outside the usual sororitas hierarchy with a focus on tracking down relics, investigating so called “miracle makers” and yes, good old fashioned witch hunting
Wait wait wait Isn't Bloodborn all about the blood from some old eldritch creatures that the character even inject himself with? This sub faction must reek of heresy Sounds like some kind genestealer shenanigans
Lore wise, if you really want to lean into the Bloodborne inspiration you could make your sisters hunters of beastmen. Really love the theming. It fits so well
These are so COOOL! The sisters are already kind of like the Hunters, seeking out the mutant and the faithless. What if these were the Hunter of Hunters equivalent, those who seek out members of the Echlesiarchy and the Soroitas who have fallen from the Emeprors light?
These could be a coven of our martyred lady that is located on a knight world. The Knight worlds are mostly medieval from a technology PoV which would explain the different ascetic. There's no reason they couldn't join forces with other covens in a war so the different schemes could easily be played together. Then you could also add Titans in the new theme 😊
I think this is so wicked, Bloodborne is my favourite souls game and i have always wanted to try a sister team, so im super keen to see more videos. You guys should also make a bloodborne inspired table top. Gothic buildings, cobble stone roads, iron looking balustrading and then pools of blood everywhere. In fact how bloodborne looks in fase two could work with a tyranids style like the city has been over run.
Hey Jen awesome work love the look and theme of your Sister, maybe a lore connection could be that your Bloodbourne Sister stationed near the Halo Stars.
I was wondering about a Sisters army recently...Good timing! How well would the Sisters of Silence kits mix with the Adepta Sororitas, just for a bit of variety?
Now i cant help but imagine a Hospitaller in the style of a plague Doctor. 🤔😄
I was sitting on painting my hospitaller....now I think I know why.
Amazing idea that we might have to "borrow"
I made mine a necromancer for my "horroritas" army. Replaced the sister on the grounds head with a skull and made some osl magic effects etc.
Managed to win a Halloween painting competition with it against a horde of zombies, skellies, vampires...
@@TabletopTime By all mean knock yourself out. 😄👍
Plague Doctor Sister would be awesome
for the lore i'd say that they are like the first hunters
like Bodyguard of explorators of ruins/catacombs searching for relics
I love the idea of blending the Bloodborne aesthetic with the Sisters! Maybe sculpting little tri-pointed hats might give some of that flavour? Lore-wise, I know you mentioned the Sisters fighting a Greater Demon of Khorne in the video, what if this covenant specifically hunted Khornate forces? They could be "Hunters of the Blood-born" 😛
I'd go for Tyranids due to the parallel between Gene-stealers and Beasts
Yay! More Jen Sister's Content! Love the concept for the custom Army!
Also like the idea of them searching for lost relics in abandoned cities where you never know what may be lurking in the shadows....
I love her sister videos! More more!!!🤘

It will evolve and we can show it off as Jenn keeps working on more models
Yes! More Jen Sisters content!!!!
This is one of my favourite TTT videos. Love the customisation and work you’ve done on these, and where they’re going.
I think penitent engine on an amazing cathedral base in a dramatic pose could be great!
I love everything related to Jen's Sisters army... An awesome source of inspiration to my own sisters army.
Looks great! The final colour scheme kinda reminded me how the Order of Our Martyred Lady originally looked like in the 2nd edition. They had black armour and black robes with red lining. Seems kinda fitting if your Covenant is a sub-faction of the order :) Can't wait to see more!

Love that Jen used the Minecraft Bloodborne image
I recently got into war hammer and have only recently built my first few models but I’m really excited to try customizing and kit bashing. Excited to see what you’ve come up with for this conversion
Best part of the hobby.
Amazing work, Jen! Your sisters look fantastic! I absolutely love the use of the mood board and sketches you do. It is a great example of how to go into a kitbash or theme for a build the right way!
Yay Jen content! I appreciate the way Jen narrates and explained the lore and the finished pieces!
Isn't Bloodborne more Victorian than Medieval?
Yes, but, sometimes, you ignore mistakes
I love the idea of your Covenant and look forward to seeing how it progresses. As far as leaning into the bloodborne grimdark themes, I have some ideas. Cursed city could be a great source for parts!
Would be really funny to have all tabletop time cast members to have a 1v1v1v1. So bloodborne sisters vs spacebears vs weird king arthur space marines.. and what army does Murray have?
Murray has really colourful Tyranids iirc?
Jen's Bloodborne sisters, Dave's Traitor guard, Jaza's Space Bears and Murray's hive fleet Jotun.
I've had my Escher Gang for a few year now but yet to put them together as I can't settle on a colour scheme let alone names. The creativity of this idea is nuts.

For lore, they could be guardians of a sacred monastery that holds dark age artifacts or relics.

Seeing the title and keywords, I realized: you're hitting all the things I like. All of this is awesome!
Praise the good blood battle sister
A very nice and simple conversion; the aesthetic works brilliantly with 40k's grim dark ❤
These look amazing! I really like the colour palette of the Reliquant
Great to see you take the next step with these sisters and seeing you keep pushing yourself. The results look great and would really go well with a diorama stand. Hoping to see more of your sisters in the near future!

I love the paintjob. It reminds me of how Murray paints, I dig the style.
Those chimera paints actually sound neat, I’d love a more artistic paint for minis as someone with a background in art!
They look fantastic! My one nitpick: the scabbard for Sister Superior is on her left hip, and she’s fighting left-handed.
Awesome army Jen - looks really good, great job!
The idea of relic hunting fits the medieval. Think Knights Templar, they rode around collecting and protecting holy relics for the church. I would certainly lean into the relic hunters idea when it comes to lore, so many great ideas you could use there. And lots of inspiration from movies and TV shows!
This looks phenomenal. What an imposing figure to have bear down on someone’s squad on the table top!

Dark but full of color. I like it a lot!
More please!

I hope we geet to say more of this!! Such a great combo

The darkest of daemons gather, and the Sisters will suffer them not.
I think in the lore perspective the Covenant is the vanguard force of order that fights in most vicious and horrendous battles.
Oh this is sick. I love it! Great job with the green stuff btw. I really need to try to work with it more myself. I've wanted to make like a naval uniform kind of coat for a Tzaangor for ages.
Neat! Really unique look and vibe so far! More please! :D
Awesome work Jen!
So good! I love these Sisters.
Having them be relic hunters and explorers fits well with the Bloodeborne look.
Such an awesome idea! Love the creativity in this army
Way I see it you can have the following as their main themes if you want to follow medieval knightly orders you can have:
Hospitalliers- warriors of the faith that bring healing to his faithful. (Hospitaliers)
An order that protects pilgrims- maybe more geared towards naval warfare and boarding actions in 40k.(Templar)
An order designed to help hold a certain region.(Santiago)
A super aggressive crusader order.(Teutonics)
A cursed order- all of its members have a horrific affliction but they are stalwart in their faith (Saint Lazarus(which was made up of lepers, although they did know how to treat and deal with it, but it was apparently terrifying for their enemies)
Alternatively you could have demon hunters, witch hunters, Monster slayers. - protecting his faithful.
Hell you could even have a ravenguard like equivelent. Those that infiltrate fallen worlds to recover holy relics.
Love it! The banner looks so good.
They look amazing. Good job!
YES!!!FINALLY ANOTHER BATTLE SISTER VIDEO!!!
Your knight is one of the reasons I got into the sisters!
This is brilliant, well done Jen.
Looks awesome. I like to hear more lore from your sisters😊
Will do something like that in the future for my Blood Angels. I do believe the blood motif works pretty well for both
Definitrly interested to to see the army as it grows!
May have to get one of those crazy large blades. That look like a straight razor. Modeled and 3d printed. Call it a power sword. :)
Wait wait wait
Isn't Bloodborn all about the blood from some old eldritch creatures that the character even inject himself with?
This sub faction must reek of heresy
Sounds like some kind genestealer shenanigans
Excellent video, Jen!
Love it Jen! Can't wait to see more!
I would love to see more of these!!
Mmm się love the idea of medieval looking Sister, and the color scheme is great , cant wait for another video on them
I love a jennboard, hope you find all the models you want for your army
Lore wise, if you really want to lean into the Bloodborne inspiration you could make your sisters hunters of beastmen.
Really love the theming. It fits so well
Would love to see more of these Bloodborne inspired sisters!
These are so COOOL!
The sisters are already kind of like the Hunters, seeking out the mutant and the faithless. What if these were the Hunter of Hunters equivalent, those who seek out members of the Echlesiarchy and the Soroitas who have fallen from the Emeprors light?
Needs more crosbows! There might be 3D printable crowsbows that fit on these sisters.
I literally kitbashed the sister Aestred model yesterday into a canoness for my homebrew order, the Vigilantes of Saint Claudia.
Just for Jen to know, next month Dakkadakka are doing a kickstarter for not-sisters which look to have a lot of parts that would fit her idea
You should snatch some of the blood raven chalices for those bloodborne sisters. Perfect for drinking the holy blood.
I am loving this theme for the sisters
Absolutely amazing video, nailed it.
Noise Marine kill team, or vehicle kill team yet?
i like everything you do on the channel
Not sure about the older resin SoB, but are they in scale for Escher head/limb/weapon swaps?
AHHH PLS DO MORE!!! It would be great to get some sister STL upgrades.
I love your work. I am also working on some sisters of battles but not a whole army just some stuff from the Warhammer Imperium magazin
Would love to see a straight up kitbash between SoB and Aos or WfB/Old World bits.
Hey Jen awesome work love the look and theme of your Sister, maybe a lore connection could be that your Bloodbourne Sister stationed near the Halo Stars.
Cool idea!
I was wondering about a Sisters army recently...Good timing!
How well would the Sisters of Silence kits mix with the Adepta Sororitas, just for a bit of variety?
A review of kimara paint from Jen would be awsome!! More content fron Jen would be great in general!
