A friend of mine has the r5 and this lens, he is very happy with the zoom abilities for outdoor events where you have daylight!

Tech and glass these days is incredibly good. My mate has this, and has it and says only good things about it. Got the 100-400mm GM for my sony, and to be fair, I dont need a huge supertele at all when its combined with 50MP for my african adventures! About the filming, did you stabilize the footage? Great stuff either way!
Hi Daniel, need to catch up on your videos. I have tested the GM 100-400mm lens and really liked it, really fast AF and I think it was lighter than the Canon 100-500mm.
The video footage was direct out of the camera, there is a little bit of movement but no shake.
I love this lens. But, be aware, the lens must be zoomed to 300mm or more to attach the extenders. So, a 2x extender turns it into a 600-1000mm zoom.
What is the printer that you use for those large printed photos?

I’ve had this lens for over 6 months. It’s a superb piece of kit on my R5. But hard to get. I had to wait 6 months.
Hey Andrew, was very surprised how good the lens performed and how fast the AF was. Its in stock here in NZ, but want to test the 70-200mm f/2.8 plus the 1.4 teleconverter first before I make a decision
@@DarrylCarey I’ve used the 100-500 with the TC. It’s fine but I don’t normally need it. I also bought the RF100mm macro. A cracking good lens. I have not tried the 70-200 f2.8.
@6:45 It doesn’t work well with teleconverters, why you didn’t mention that problem?
