  • Any wrong move on the White Line in Sedona could mean a 200 ft fall to your death. Why the hell would I ride it then? I don't know. Because it's there I guess. Experience the trail with me, complete with the nerves and tension that goes with it.

      @@DmitriyLaktyushkin nonsense dude. There is NO REWARD IN A SHORT LIFE. I'm glad he made it. Older people generally appreciate life more. This is because they understand the value of what would be lost.

    • @afist5595
      @afist5595 2 роки тому

      @@DmitriyLaktyushkin what are you talking about? Plenty of fun things have a high enough reward for the risk. Gaming? Not that much risk, and is fun for multiple people. Caving? Get to experience some adventure while viewing the natural attractions within the caves, and as long as you aren’t going into an advanced, very narrow cave, there isn’t all that much risk. Fishing? Enjoy the serenity of whatever lake or other body of water you’re at, see the nature around you and catch as many fish to take home as you can. I could probably think of multiple other examples with decent reward and low enough risk. The white line though? Sure, it’s a nice view, but a single mistake could cost you your life, and the feeling of the ride itself would probably be mediocre. Stop being condescending just because guy who posted the comment would rather not put his life at stake for an okayish mountain biking experience he could just go somewhere else for. You’re acting like you’re any better while you yourself are on youtube and are watching videos just like him.

    I've seen this route and can tell you the GoPro footage makes it look easier. That wall is 45 degrees and steepening to 80 degrees at the bottom. It's truly rolling on a wall! The hardest part of riding these extreme angle sandstone is managing rear wheel slides. It's a knife edge between sticking and sliding.

He watch, Nate hill, phill mets, Michael Kollbek and others and said "oh let me try that" (I will follow along the other greats and accept that challenge.)...statistically, some will die (in phills video they state 2 guys went over). Why do we need to follow each other and ride the side of a cliff to feel alive?🤔 russian roulette...

      Brilliant edit and riding. Respectfully, have you explored meditation? In my experience, mtb riding technical trail feels great because it forces (pay full attention or get hurt/die) and requires full presence of our body, mind and soul. We feel alive!! Intelligent highly active minded people, with lots of negative and positive inner chatter, find clarity and peace and joy while riding challenge tech. The feeling is addictive. Have you noticed? It suspends the chatter. Perhaps much like those who Golf or Martial arts OR rock climbing, surfing and skydiving. Immersive activities. You find and experience flow through the activity were our skill is equal to the level of the challenge and our mind is clear and focused. So there are other ways to have a spiritual experience and feel flow aside from, well, near death challenges. Meditation may help bring flow more readily. When difficult becomes normal you will always need to set the bar higher to achieve more flow higher risk for a nice joyful buzz..for your consideration. -Sam

    Very cool, to keep pushing each time instead of a 'just do it' approach.
