This was the only video that helped me set up WDS bridging with ArcherC50. All other videos did not display in depth which router (root or extending router) I needed to connect to and how to deal with conflicting IPs. Why would other videos NOT clearly show how to connect to the extending router? It was all very frustrating until I got to this video. Thanks!
Thank you very much, I was curious if I could use my spare(old) routers as range extender, and I have found your video... it works brilliantly!! You're awesome!! Thank you!!
I want to connect to the internet with the LAN kabel and not wireless. I dont want long cabels going around in the house so if I do the steps in the video and put the range extender router near my pc, will I be able to connect with the lan cabel?😊
Thanks a lot, worked on my Archer D50 like a charm but had to enable the DHCP and choose the radio button "DHCP Relay" then type the IP of my main router.
Hi....thanks for the video But as I m trying to set up using my mobile Enable WDS option is not visible after I change network name. Also in Wifi settings for No internet is notified. Can you help with this ? Thank you
On the change channel page of the repeater router, you just changed to Channel 10 without any explanation. My understanding that to work as a repeater, it should be in the same channel as that of the main router, right? Does that mean your main router has been set to Channel 10 as well. If not, this may not work. Please elaborate and correct as necessary so that people will not be misled.
can i use this in my bedroom as i dont have a telephone socket in my bedroom and just plug an ethernet patch cable to back of tp-link and run the cable downstairs to my existing bthub6 router and plug other end in to back of router, also plug another short ethernet cable into the back of my desktop computer upstairs [ will this work ]
I did exactly this, only messed with 2.4Ghz settings and it worked. I was able to connect to 5G as well on my phone. But somehow it stopped. And I couldn't connect anymore.
You need to go to advanced settings and then scroll down to system parameters under system settings and then enable WDS option. It is usually disabled. So there you go

Depending on the router you’re using as a repeater, it should still be possible with some small changes (I don’t know precisely). Some routers (TP Link and otherwise) just don’t support WDS so that might also be a problem.

Will the repeater router have to be connected via WAN port as well after the setup or just the adapter?
