I am very glad that you keep making these videos man! I keep trying to make ships and I just made my first destroyer, but it isn’t good and I just need to touch up on it. I’m glad tutorials like these exist so it’s possible to make usable ships!
Just started, 2 hours in and my first build fell and rotated at speed, taking my camera POV for quite the ride as soon I tried to build anything. Then I started looking for tutorials like this.
I have been playing for 20 hours total now and my boat which I named the "Quebble", literally flies out of the water and is essentially non functional. Thanks for making these videos, my hope is to one day build a functional boat. I am only like 5 minutes in but just had to say it since I learned so much already
I started a month or so ago, and I was in the same boat (more or less literally). You get a hang of it pretty quickly. A tip is to add hydrofoils to control pitch, or use the forward pitch control rudders the Steel Striders' "Allegiance" ship (which you can spawn in with X) has.
Check the FtD dictionary (and rate our) steam guide here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3406795381

"shortcut tutorial" ... Almost an hour long 😮. I blame you for getting me into this game. This is really helpful

That middle plane one is also done by alt+N instead of using that menu
