All great travel tips. Can't agree more that Nafplio is underrated. We did a two-week family trip to Greece a few years ago (mom, dad, and four young adults). Took in Athens, Nafplio, Santorini, Rhodes. Everyone's favorite was Nafplio, so that's saying a lot. The walking path to nearby Karathona beach is not to be missed, and the beach itself is stunning. Also taking the steps up to Palamidi fortress is a lot of fun, if a bit challenging (it's really not that bad). Only problem is Nafplio is a bit *too* good... You'll want to visit plenty other Greek destinations, but then be tempted instead to return to Nafplio time and time again.
Peloponnese is my favourite destination. I would also recommend northwest mainland (parga, Ioannina, Vikos Gorge) and Halkidiki (I prefer Sithonia, it's my thing).😊
I'm going to Greece in April 2025 for my honeymoon. We are planning on staying on the mainland because it is off season and don't expect the islands to really be open. Your videos are our planning guide!
Very nice thank you. As far as the green zone goes downtown Athens does that apply to rental cars? Odd and even plates days. And is the Garden of Heroes worth visiting?
OK, let me explain, I travel to Greece often. Always looking for things off the beaten path. That's why I subscribe to your channel. You are only allowed to drive downtown Athens if your license plate ends with an even number and the calendar is an even day. (Green Zone). Does this apply to rental cars? Garden of Heroes in Missolonghi, Greece. This is a memorial to non-Greeks, (Philhellenism). Who fought in the war of independence, including Lord Byron.@@GreeceExplored

Being honest, I don't actually know, the operation of the Green Zone is relatively rare and I haven't visited the Garden of Heroes. sorry
