To anyone wondering. When choosing a Greek Island it's pretty simple. Its a choice between the beautiful lush green Ionian Islands or you can go to the sand boxes in the Aegean

Mid - September is also amazing to come to Greece. Not too much heat like in August and not too crowded. If you don't like lots of tourists around. If you like partying late July and August is the best

Thank you for your video, it was so informative, I'm trying to plan a trip on a ferry from Spain to Greece. Definitely not in August, LOL ! Maybe Sept or Oct. Oh and BTW, I was married to a Greek for many years and the correct pronunciation of Gyro is ( and I will type it the way it sounds ) Yeero, the G is like a Y sound...LOL !!! Happy travels !!!

G’day. Actually in Karpathos for 2 weeks. Have been all over Greece and it’s islands. Karpathos is one of our favourites. Bit hard to get to but it’s really worth it. But please don’t tell everyone about it 😅
It helped where not to go first time to Greece on a honeymoon I think I’ll skip Mykonos not the party person I used to be 🎉❤

Greece has many beautiful islands. And to be honest from all of them, Mykonos is my least favourite. Santorini is amazing beautiful and way better than Mykonos. I suggest you to visit Rhodes if you want beautiful beaches and many historical sights, Crete is a really beautiful place as well, Corfu is a good option as well, and from islands who are close to Athens Poros, Ydra and Spetses are really beautiful. Especially poros which is a small island but with mostly local tourists. Its way more calm there and it has beautiful beaches.

What are some of the quiet islands? We want to relax but at the same time not be to far from civilization lol.
I feel that lol. I didn't really get to experience that, but I would say Milos was the most chill vibe in comparison of al the ones I experienced. There are soooo so many though I'd definitely search if you are looking for a quiet island you should be able to easily find a perfect match. Happy travels!

I book a lot of my travel using points so I typically steer away from talking budget on trips as I know it's dependent on a lot of factors! My guides focus on adventures and things to do on the travels :) I know there are a lot of other super helpful budget travel pages out there! I hope this information was helpful!

Totally depends, there are many options to do it budget by staying in hostels and going to less popular islands, or there are options to many it super luxury and party on the most expensive islands! there is something for everyone's budget in Greece 😊
Rhodes is overrated. Many of the islands “close down” from November till May.
